Use
The control unit is for evaluating signals from machine safety
sensors. Due to the variable design, the inputs can be used for
a variety of functions, such as 2-hand control or for connecting
an emergency stop button.
Models
The 471 M41 H31 enables the connection of a sensor in 3- as well as 4-wire technique. The 4-wire
technique also allows a cross short detection. At sensor input 4, a sensor with 2-contact makers as
well as a contact maker/breaker system can be connected. Further parameters, such as the delay
time, can be configured by a DIP switch. The connection terminals are available as an option and
also as double terminals (1.5 mm²).

The plug-in, screwless terminals can be coded using coding
pins so that if the device is replaced, the connectors cannot be
confused during installation.

Start
The turn-off delay of safety output 4 can
be set via switch 1 to 4. See example here
for 4 seconds.
Cross short safety: emergency stop messages appear via two contact breakers which
are impacted by various potentials. This allows cable short circuits to be detected.
