David Chicken
Also known as David McMahon
Drawn to art and music since he was a child, David McMahon was destined to be
David Chicken. From painting and guitar lessons to eventually performing in various
bands, McMahon had a flare for performing that didn’t quite fit in with the typical
rock band.
After graduating from the University of North Texas, David began performing across the country,
first as the ”Toyologist” – a character he developed for Toys ”R“ Us – and soon thereafter as David
Chicken. He saw firsthand how music could bring smiles and laughter to kids and parents alike,
through positive messages inspiring creativity, exercise and learning.
Ten years later, David has performed internationally and created three CDs and two DVDs filled
with super-catchy original music and characters. He has also won three Emmy® Awards through
the Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). In addition to
these accomplishments, David's song & video "Book a Trip", which promotes reading, recently won
a first place award in the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors.
Why chicken?
The signs were all there. Growing up, David was a fan of the TV show Green Acres. While in
college, David had a chicken named Henrietta (and a pig named Arnold, but that’s another story).
He ended up with the nickname “David McChicken.” That name eventually became David Chicken
when it was time for a fun and memorable moniker.
What’s next?
Springbot Productions – a creative company founded by David McMahon, John Kenny and Glenn
Hadsall – has completed a television pilot, which is currently being shopped for a TV show. David
is also hard at work on his fourth CD, creating a total of more than 60 original songs and 30 videos.
Each David Chicken product is jam packed with totally upbeat and fun-filled music for the whole
family to enjoy.

years later; some adults don’t forget what’s it’s like to be a kid. And those are the ones who end up
singing and dancing with a chicken on their head!”

Mama Chicken
Also known as Jane McMahon
Jane McMahon has loved entertaining her whole life. From her “humorous readings”
in elementary school to her singing and dancing performances with David Chicken,
she is a rock star by herself. She steals the show every single time with her loving
and grandmotherly demeanor and instantly becomes a friend to all. Mama Chicken
sings backing vocals – and occasional lead rap – on David’s songs and videos.
As a working mom for many years, she knows the importance of making time, as a family, to enjoy
quality entertainment together.
Also an ace in the kitchen, some of her delicious recipes are featured on David’s site at
http://www.davidchicken.com/visit/recipes/recipes.html . Her culinary skills were immortalized in
the song “Mama Chicken’s Kitchen” and are featured in David’s latest Emmy-Winning DVD, Book a
Trip with David Chicken.
Jane’s mother, Marie Ruth, traveled with the Chautauqua – a touring vaudeville company featuring
such greats as Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy. Marie passed the love of entertaining on to her
daughter and grandson. David and Jane are happy to carry on the family tradition.

Super Chachie
The Superhero Chihuahua
Super Chachie (and his twin sister Super Joanie) aren’t your ordinary
Chihuahuas. These are high-flying, super trickster, hopping and bopping
superhero Chihuahuas. Their amazing tricks and
adventures are featured in all of David’s CDs and
DVDs. Super Chachie also performs at many of
David’s concerts, to the delight of parents and
