Thank You Saskatoon!
Saskatoon Walk - $155,000+
On May 1st, over 525 participants and 62 teams in
Saskatoon joined together in celebration at the 26th Annual
Saskatchewan Blue Cross MS Walk!
Our dedicated Walkers showed their commitment,
and dedication to the cause as they headed out along
the beautiful Meewasin Valley Trail. The energy and
atmosphere were contagious with the North
Saskatchewan Regiment Pipes & Drums kicking off the walk,
the Shaw TV bear and rest stop along the route, and Family
Pizza providing a fantastic lunch upon return. It was a great
day of fun for all!
Thank you to everyone who came out, fundraised, and
supported the fight to end MS! To date we have raised
more than $155,000 with money still coming in, which will go
to support the over 3,500 individuals and their families living
with MS in Saskatchewan!

THANK YOU SHAW TV!
‘It was a blast helping out at this year’s MS Walk in Saskatoon!’ That
was the common response from the Shaw Community Involvement
team as they took part in the their third Saskatchewan Blue Cross MS
Walk. Shaw Communications in Saskatoon hosted the kids zone as
well as a water station on Sunday May 1st. More than ten members of
the Shaw Community Involvement team were on the route bright and
early to help set up and paint kids’ faces. Shaw TV produced a thirtyminute show telling stories of those living with MS. Their experiences
were shared with Shaw TV audiences in Saskatoon and Prince Albert
the week leading up to the walk.
Shaw also entered a team consisting of 35 employees and family
members who raised more $3666.00. According to Team Captain
Heather West “Our team was quick to support and raise funds through
hot dog BBQ’s, chili pot lucks, 50/50 draws and a baby
birthday pool”. Shaw was a big supporter of the MS walk throughout the
province with the Shaw bear and local teams in Prince Albert as well as
Moose Jaw lending a hand to events held in their hometowns.
