Escrow, Taxes and Insurance for First Mortgages
of my taxes and insurance if an
escrow account was already
established with my previous
loan servicing company?
A. Your escrow was transferred
along with your loan. Please
make your scheduled principal
and interest, taxes and/or
insurance payment to HSBC
Mortgage Services.
Q. How do I establish an escrow
account with HSBC Mortgage
Services to pay my property
tax and/or homeowner’s
insurance payment?
A. If we are servicing your primary
mortgage, please call Customer
Service at (800) 333-7023 with
your request. To establish an
account, your taxes and
insurance cannot be due within the
next 30 days or be delinquent. In
addition, please ensure that your
insurance policy shows the
premium paid for an entire year.
You will receive by mail, a letter
confirming the start date of your
escrow, new monthly payment
and escrow account summary.
Q. How can I be certain that my
insurance company has the
proper information on my
homeowner’s policy?
A. Contact your homeowner’s
insurance company and advise
them to list HSBC Mortgage
Services as “mortgagee” on your
homeowner’s policy as follows:

Q. Do I need to send HSBC
Mortgage Services proof of my
homeowner’s insurance?
A. Proof of insurance is forwarded
from your previous loan servicing
company. If you have an escrow
account with HSBC Mortgage
Services for insurance, we can get
this information directly from your
insurance agent. If you don’t have
an escrow account for insurance,
please forward proof to:

Q. What should I do if I receive a
tax bill?
A. For established customers, HSBC
will receive tax bills from the state
and pay them in a timely manner.
Sometimes customers who are
new to HSBC receive the bill. If
your property address is in one of
the following states only, it is
helpful if you mail or fax the bill to
us at the address or number below.

Q. May I continue to use the

company?
A. We will issue you new checks
within three weeks of the transfer
date. To access your line prior to
receiving your new checks, please
contact Customer Care. We will
send you a check for the
requested amount within two
business days via overnight
delivery as long as the account is
in good standing.
Q. Will I pay interest on the total
amount of my approved line
of credit?
A. You will only pay interest on the
current outstanding balance of
your line of credit.
Q. How do I order more checks?
A. If you are running low on your
supply of checks, please contact
Customer Care. If you wish to
access your line prior to receiving
your checks, we can provide you
with an advance for the requested
amount within two business days
via overnight delivery, as long as
the account is in good standing.

By enrolling in this program you authorize Fort Knox National Bank (“Fort Knox”) to initiate electronic
debit entries to or otherwise cause funds to be withdrawn from your accounts at depositories. The
debits are initially to be made from the depository and the account indicated by you and may also be
made from other depositories and/or accounts of which you give Fort Knox notice by telephone, fax or
in writing. The debits are to be made in the amount and at the frequency and on the dates you indicate
at the time of enrollment or may be made for other amounts, frequencies or dates of which you give
Fort Knox notice by telephone, fax or in writing. In states where EZ Pay Plus fees are applicable, you
direct Fort Knox to (i) place the amount debited in a non-interest bearing custodial account, (ii) deduct
from the custodial account as your payment to Fort Knox the fee, as outlined in the table below, for

mortgage loan no less frequently than monthly. You understand that if you elect the weekly or every
other week debit option, the reduction in the principal balance of your loan attributable to the
accumulation of additional funds above the required payment will only occur if all debits are honored
without interruption. You must notify Fort Knox in writing, in the event you file bankruptcy. You must
send this notice to the following address: P.O. Box 1270, Elizabethtown, KY 42702-1270. Your
authorization will remain in full force and effect until Fort Knox has received notification from you by
telephone, fax or in writing of its termination in such time and in such manner as to afford Fort Knox
and your depositories a reasonable opportunity to act on it. If your loan contains monthly payment
amount elements which may change, these amounts will be adjusted according to the terms of your
loan agreement and the debit option you elected. Additionally, if the mortgage company that services
your mortgage loan escrows your property taxes and/or insurance, or if you have elected to purchase
optional insurance or other optional products which are billed to you with your mortgage statements,
such escrow amounts, optional insurance premiums and fees for optional products will be added to
your EZ Pay Plus debit amount as shown on your monthly statement.
