Turn-by-Turn Voice Navigation
The Garmin zūmo 590LM delivers natural sounding Voice prompted, Turn-by-Turn
navigation instructions that pronounces street names through the speaker on the
Automotive Mount or through a compatible Bluetooth Headset/Helmet.

Bluetooth
The zūmo 590LM features Bluetooth wireless technology. With it, you’re free to talk on
your phone without having to remove your gloves or helmet. Simply connect zūmo to
your compatible cell phone and a compatible Bluetooth-enabled headset or helmet to
make and receive calls. You can also call points of interest through the zūmo Bluetooth
interface — perfect for last-minute change of plans or a quick stop for food and fuel.
Users can easily access the following phone functions
on the zūmo 590LM display:

Rugged and Waterproof*
With a rugged design that is resistant to fuel sprays, UV rays and harsh weather, the
zūmo 590LM is built for life on or off the road. zūmo is thoroughly vibration- and droptested to withstand just about anything you can ride through.

Trip Planner
The zūmo 590LM now features a Trip Planner. The Trip Planner allows a user to plan
their route on the device, by setting the start position, add in any via points and enter the
end destination. Once a route is created, it can be optimised to save time and fuel.

Round Trip
The Round Trip feature on the zūmo 590LM allows users to plan a ride choosing either
the distance, duration or intermediate destination. The zūmo 590LM will then calculate a
trip that will be customised to the user’s preferences.

Media Player
The zūmo 590LM has a built in media player, allowing users to control the music on
their compatible mobile media player. Compatible media players can be connected via
Bluetooth, the dedicated Line in function or users can pair their compatible iPhone or
iPod to the zūmo 590LM. Users can also load MP3 audio files to an SD card or the
internal memory of the zūmo 590LM, and play them using the MP3 Player feature.

TracBack
The zūmo 590LM features Garmin’s TracBack technology. The zūmo 590LM will record
a track log when a user drives/rides off-road. A user can easily get back to the same
location he/she started from, by selecting the TracBack in the Apps menu. The user will
then be guided back on the recorded track log to the original location.

Compass
The compass feature on the zūmo 590LM shows users their bearing and the distance to
their destination. The compass feature can be used during on-and-off road riding to
guide the user along their adventure.

Map Tools Menu
The zūmo 590LM features a Map Tools Menu accessible from the map view. The Map
Tools Menu will give the user quick and easy access to the following functions:
- Stop Route (only available when routing)
- Up Ahead
- Device Volume
- Change Route (Alternative Route / Detour)
- Trip Data (Customisable to display Trip A, Trip B, Heading, Speed, Max Speed, Moving Average,
Overall Average, Stopped, Moving Time, Total Time, Elevation and Time of Day)

Up Ahead feature
The zūmo 590LM ‘s Up Ahead feature shows a user what services are on their route and
on which side of the road they are located.
The Up Ahead feature can be accessed by selecting the Map Tools button on the map
screen and then selecting Up Ahead. The services shown in the Up Ahead feature can be
customised by the user to suit their preference.
Services that can be displayed include:
- Fuel Stations
- Banks and ATMs
- Restaurants
- Parking
- Roadside Services
- Lodging
- Custom Search

Manual Dual Orientation
The zūmo 590LM allows the user to choose if they want to
use the device in Landscape or in Portrait mode. The screen
orientation can be manually selected by going to
Settings/Display/Orientation

Last Stop
Use the Last Stop feature to record the position you park your car or motorcycle, and
easily find your way back to your ride with the zūmo 590LM. The Last Stop feature can be
found under the Apps menu on the zūmo home screen.

Quick Search Bar
The new Quick Search bar feature on the zūmo 590LM allows users to easily search for
Addresses, Points of Interest etc. without having to first select the category the search
would fall under. The Quick Search bar feature is accessible as soon as the Where To?
icon is selected.

VIRB Remote
The zūmo 590LM has the option the control the Garmin VIRB action camera* right on
the display. The VIRB Action Camera can easily be switched to recording mode, or take
still photos simply by touching relevant option on the zūmo 590LM’s VIRB Remote
display.

Tyre Pressure
The zūmo 590LM is compatible with optional Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensors*. Tyre
Pressure Monitoring Sensors fastens onto the motorcycle’s metal tyre valve stem and
uses ANT wireless technology to integrate with the zūmo 590LM. TPMS gives you realtime tyre pressure, pressure trends and audible, customisable alerts.
*System works with up to 4 tyres in any configuration, additional purchase required for each wheel. Metal valve stems only. Not intended for automotive use.
