ADVICE
Model agencies like to see a variety of looks within your portfolio. When selecting the
clothes to bring please think about different styles, seasons (winter,summer) and colours.
Please avoid large logos (small logos are fine) and text on T-shirts. The general idea is
to make you appear as experienced as possible from your shoot so the more outfits and
looks we can do in the session, the stronger your portfolio will look to potential clients.
Feel free to have a look on http://www.dkmodels.net to get ideas of what other people in
your age category have done. If you have any ideas, skills or outfits to make you stand out
from the other models we can incorporate these too, For example, if you do dance or martial arts bring these outfits to make your portfolio stand out.
You get 5 photos included in your photo-shoot, if you are a new model we would recommend purchasing a few extra images to add a winder variety to your portfolio.
If you are thinking of joining other agencies please be aware that there are a lot of ‘Scam’
agencies in operation looking to take advantage of inexperienced models. Do not join any
agencies where you have to pay them upfront to join.

About your shoot
Please arrive slightly early to be ready for your photo shoot. The Limited number of sessions avaliable means if you are late your session cannot run over.
The shoot will be held at:
4 Park Square, Thorncliffe industrial estate, Chapeltown, Sheffield, S35 2PH
We have a large white studio to do the traditional head-shots and full length photos.
We will then use a number of different colourfull backgrounds and sets. This will give the
appearance that you have built your portfolio over a number of photo-shoots, making you
appear more experienced. After the session we will sit down together and choose the photos for the agency. You will aso have the option to select & purchase any extra images.
CHILDREN
What do i bring?
Please bring a number of outfits including various styles, seasons and colours.
Please try and avoid LARGE logos and text on t-shirts.
If you feel your child may behave better with toys please bring a selection. Things that also
look nice on camera are balloons, toy cars/ bikes they can sit on ect.These are just some
ideas, don’t worry if you don’t have everything just bring what you can.
Girls

Teenage photo-shoots
For teenagers please read the previous pages for outfit suggestions.
As you are able to fit into two categories (child & young adult) our advice would be to bring
a mixture of clothing. Some to make you look Younger and some to make you look older.
This way you will appeal to more clients.
Dk Model Management generally prefer a more natural look, so girls, please can you arrive with Natural looking makeup. Feel free to have a foundation base to even out your
skintone, mascara and natural coloured lipgloss but nothing too heavy on the eyes. The
reason we do this for the agency is we like to see your natural beauty but also for clients its
hard to imagine what you would look like without makeup. Models aged 15 and over If you
would like to do a couple of looks at the end of the shoot with a bit more makeup to make
you look older this would add variety to your portfolio.
FAMILIES
If you require family or couple photos think about outfits that look nice together. Everone
wearing blue jeans and the same coloured top generally works well. Its also effective for all
the family to wear their own style, however make sure the colours match.
If you have several children or need portfolio updates for a few of you at once chat to us
about combining photo sessions. We are also happy to do a family photo at the end of any
portfolio session just let us know you would like this in advance.
Packages
Studio Shoot - Choose your package
To reserve your session we take £35 booking fee. This is due at the
time of booking and is deducted from your total due on the day. (For
example if you choose the £75 session its £35 booking fee and £40
due on the day)
We keep our prices low to give you just what you need for the agency.
These are photos big enough to do anything you need to do with
them online. If you decide you would like prints for yourself and extras
for the agency to help you get more work you are more than welcome
to purchase these.
Portfolio Update - £75
We are aware your look changes as you get older, This is a 45 minute
studio update including your favourite 5 photos to add to your portfolio
for internet use.
Starter Portfolio - £75 plus £10 per extra photo.
Dk Models require a minimum of 5 photos to put you on their website.
The agency can put up to 25 photos on the online portfolio. If you are
new to modelling we would recommend between 8-16 photos to get
you started.
Website and Printed Portfolio - £185
This includes your five photos emailed for internet use and your photos professionally edited, printed and presented in a custom made DK
Portfolio. Extra images printed and emailed are £20 each when purchased with this package.
Photo-shoot, Portfolio and CD Package - £255
This includes your 45min session and as many photos as you like
emailed to DK Model Agency and all the photos put on CD in full quality, with the option to print out the photos yourselves to put around
your home, give to family and friends. If you want lots of photos on
the agency and for yourselves this is the package for you.
The Works- starter session - £450
45 Minute studio session. 25 photos emailed to DK for their website.
CD of all the full quality photos
Dk Portfolio book with your five favourite photos professionally edited
and printed.
