Psychiatrist (Adult and/or Child and Adolescent positions available)
As part of a dedicated and growing team of adult and child psychiatrists you’ll provide care to patients
with serious mental health disorders in collaboration with behavioral health clinicians and case
managers, and with the support of primary care clinicians at AHS including internal medicine, family
practice and pediatric physicians.
Principle duties include Medical/Psychiatric evaluation and medication treatment of persistently and
severely mentally ill adult clients, and children/youth with mental health disorders, in accordance with
the agency’s standard of care protocol; review and approval of clinical treatment plans; and
participation in case conferences, training sessions, peer reviews, utilization reviews, chart audits, and
quality assurance reviews.
Requires M.D. degree and residency in psychiatry; current medical license from the California Medical
Board; board certification in your specialty, DEA license and BLS (CPR) certification. Training or
experience in, community mental health; working within a multi-disciplinary setting; and
bilingual/bicultural in an Asian language are desirable (Cantonese and Vietnamese preferred). Flexible
Per Diem shifts available, 130.00/hr, with possibility of transitioning to regular employment later this
year.

Master’s Degree in social work, marriage and family counseling, clinical or counseling psychology or

Mental Health Clinician ll
Responsible for providing primarily direct behavioral health treatment services to clients. Services to be
provided include mental health screening, crisis stabilization, individual/group/family counseling,
culturally relevant assessment, treatment, and clinical case management. Must meet all requirements
for Behavioral Health Clinician I, and have completed all the licensure hours and be eligible to sit for the
Licensing Examination for LCSW, LMFT or LPCC with the expectation to obtain the license within two
years from the date of hire. This position reports to the Mental Health Clinic Manager.
Mental Health Clinician lll
