CURTAIN RODS :
CHOOSING THE LENGTH
CURTAINS OR SHEERS : HOW TO
SELECT APPROPRIATE WIDTH
Madura offers different styles of exclusive
rods and hardware.
Madura’s curtains and sheers are “prêt à poser”,
meaning they are ready to be installed immediately.
The rod should be longer than the width of the window
in order to let in more light and to give the impression
of a larger opening.
They come with the gathering tape or grommets already installed. They are sold in three
widths : 57” (1,45 m), 78.7” (2,00 m), 137.8”
(3,50 m).
Length of the rod
=
width + 15 to 24 ”
Rods : 59.1” (150 cm), 70.9” (180 cm),
78.7” (200 cm), 98.4” (250 cm)
You can reduce or extend easily according
to your required dimensions.
Width of the curtain
=
2 to 3 times the length of the rod
Two curtains per window
Use hardware appropriate to the type of wall or ceiling.

HEMMING CURTAINS, SHEERS
Decide the length you want for your curtain,
then adjust the height (average length :
110.2", some up to 137.8") by ironing a thermic strip placed at the bottom of the fabric
and creating a hem.
Liners with Attache-fix, Anneau-fix
and Strap with Fix
Hang the curtain and liner
together, back to back.
1. with “attache-fix”
when using a traverse rod.
Madura recommends first letting the curtain or sheer hang
for two or three days.
2. with “anneau-fix” or strap and “fix” when
using a rod.
1. Fold the fabric to
achieve the desired
height. Place the thermic
strip at the bottom of the
curtain or sheer, with the
adhesive side facing the fabric.
Eyelet liners
Slide curtain with grommets and liner with
grommets, back to back, on rod together.
EYELET CURTAINS
2. Iron the thermic strip using
a warm setting. Remove the
paper and re-iron fabric
where folded to hold
the hem in place.
REMOVABLE LINERS
Madura offers 2 types of removable liners.
They can be used with any Madura curtain
allowing the curtain to fall more elegantly,
adding fullness and protection. For maximum
protection against light, temperature and
noise, Madura also offers blackout liners.
On traverse rod
Attach the liner
to the lowest row
of heading tape pockets.
On a rod
Hold the curtain and liner
together, back to back,
they are hung
on the same rings.
Madura offers a very large choice of ready
made curtains with grommets. So easy to
hang ! Slide the rod through the eyelets.
Make something different: :
french pleats held in place
with “fix”.
CURTAINS WITH ROD POCKET
Use with decorative panels, wallcoverings
and curtains that are not meant to be opened and closed, add anneau-fix to manipulate
curtains or sheers easily.
