Game 1
After breakfast enjoy a novel and entertaining guided tour of Munich with Mike’s Bike Tours
Munich is a city of art and culture. It has innumerable monuments, and more museums than any
other city in Germany. Founded in 1158 by the powerful Saxon duke Henry the Lion as a monastic
village and toll-collection point on the River Isar, Munich remained of relatively modest size until
the nineteenth century, when it was expanded into a planned city of broad boulevards and spacious
squares in accordance with its new role, granted by Napoleon, as a royal capital.
With it’s combination of fairy tale German heritage, and modern cosmopolitan character, Munich
is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the summer and early fall when the street café’s, spacious
parks and beer halls are in full swing
Lunch on your own then depart to attend this afternoon’s DFB Cup professional game SPVGG
Unterhaching (2nd Bundesliga) vs. Hertha BSC Berlin (1st Bundesliga). Kick off 3:30 p.m.
After the game transfer to the first game of the tour
Game 1: Lycoming College vs. SC Ebersberg (7:00 p.m.)
After the game enjoy dinner and a social event with the opposing team
