It is with great sorrow to write you that Steve passed away this week of M.S.
complications.
I know he admired and respected you (as I do) tremendously. Thank you for
being a part of his amazing life.
I have attached the obituary below:
Adored husband, father, and friend, Dr. Stephen M. Yulish, 65, died in his
home of M.S. complications on November 19, 2012 with his wife and
daughter by his side.
A memorial service is set for Saturday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Lamb
of God Bible Church, 2615 East 7th Ave., where he was a member.
Dr. Yulish was born October 1, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio to Sam and
Evalyn Yulish.

He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Doctorate in
Philosophy. He was a professor at the University of Arizona and later
worked for the Jewish Federation and was involved in the Jewish
Community organizations in Phoenix. He moved to Flagstaff, AZ where
he pursued his life long dream of writing. He has written three published
books and numerous articles for internet publications. He was a regular
contributor to radio and television programs. He was founder of Chayim
Chadashim Ministries and was a board member of Hosanna Ministries.
He also served on the board of Jewish Voice Broadcast. He was a
Commissioned Man with the FMM. His interests included family and
writing.
Stephen and Paula married as best friends, soul mates, and sweethearts
on March 1990.
Dr. Yulish is survived by his wife, Paula of 22 years; three sons and
spouses, Joshua and Amy Yulish, Avi Yulish, and Noah and Torine Yulish;
two daughters and spouses, Andrea and Clayton McCauslin and Kendra
and Jamin McHatton; six grandchildren; and one sister, Holly, Somogyi.

Dr. Stephen Yulish
Stephen M .Yulish PhD was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1947 to Jewish immigrant
parents. He received his BA in Human Paleontology (evolution) in 1969 from
Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He published a scientific refereed
paper (my senior thesis) in an international Journal in Japan entitled Primates
on human evolution.
As a good, liberal, Jewish Democrat, he avoided the Vietnam War by teaching
Fifth grade in the inner city of Cleveland. Later he obtained a MA in History in
1972 and a PHD in 1975 from the University of Illinois. He became a Professor
at the University of Arizona in Tucson 1975 and remained so until 1982. He
taught a graduate seminar on "Alternate Conceptions of Reality" and was very
interested and involved in Gnosticism, mysticism, and Kabbalah (Jewish
mysticism). He had a psychic and an astrologer as advisors. He later became a
Jewish community professional in Phoenix Arizona (Pharisee) where he attacked
Christian's attempts to convert Jews.
Later as his life fell apart and he found myself working for a Christian company ,
he had a revelation of Jesus Christ in 1988 through a series of visions and a
dream, and turned his life over to Jesus Christ and was miraculously born
again.
He is now totally disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and serves the Lord everyday
by his writings and speaking to people on the internet. He has written two
novels and innumerable articles on UFOs/aliens as just fallen angels here to
deceive the masses left behind into believing that those Raptured were really
abducted by UFOS.

As I promised in the video yesterday, here is the video from Dan
Gordon. We interviewed Dan in Watchers 3 & 5. Dan brings a
fresh, no-nonsense approach to what is happening in Israel and
the Middle East. As the lead for the video states: ... but if you
want a great capsule of why Israel felt compelled to respond militarily, Gordon
provides a timely and eloquent analysis.
When you scroll down to In Other News Section, you will see what an Islamist
cleric says about the latest war. Two different stories with two disparate
conclusions! I believe Dan's version is the truth and the other propaganda like
Nazi Germany spewed in the 1930's against the Jews. The hatred and vitriol are
off the hook and will continue to be so until prophecy is fulfilled.
I am now holding to the position that the Arab Spring will lead to the Psalm 83
war. We might also be looking at the destruction of Damascus, not by Israel, but
by the Syrian people. Who could have imagined this?
When you watch the video, remember Dan is standing in Israel as you can see the
Iron Dome rocket launchers behind him. Pay special attention to what he says
about how the IDF goes out of their way to NOT target civilians. Here's a cartoon

In peacetime Dan Gordon is a playwright, but when Israel goes to war Gordon
becomes part of Israel's IDF spokesmen's bureau. In the eight day of the war and
just hours before the cease fire was announced, we met with Gordon.

the war between Hamas and Israel.

UFO sightings continue and as the title of this piece declares, they are certainly
NOT going away. Most people dismiss the UFO phenomena as hogwash and
with a roll of their eyes move onto to other subjects. However, as this one video
shows, the phenomena continues, and in fact it is burgeoning! These craft come
and go as they please, they move through our skies with impunity. The
sightings open up a plethora of questions. What are they doing here? Where do
they come from? Why hasn't the United States acknowledged them? Why
haven't they just landed on the White House lawn and be done with it!
Are these craft tied to the crop circle phenomena? Who is making these
complex circles that appear in the crops year after year? Do we really believe
two guys with boards and string made the complex circle on the left? What do
these mysterious circles mean?
What about cattle mutilations? Are the occupants of these craft responsible for
the thousands of mutilated cattle around the world? If so, why do they leave the
carcasses in the ranchers fields? What is this strange harvest of utters, sex
organs, anuses, ears and tongues all about? Who would do such a thing to an
animal while it was alive? More troubling is the human mutilation reports which
surface from time to time.
Why are people being abducted in the wee hours of the morning. Why is sperm
and ovum taken from these people? Is there some sort of breeding program
going on? Are hybrids being made? What about the implants which are removed
from these people, something we cover in all the Watchers films? What is this
implant and why is it being put into people? Is it changing their DNA? Is it a
tracking device? How is it powered?
In closing todays post: Where do we come from? What is our place in the
vastness of space? How did the complexity of the DNA, or as I call it the spiral of
life, originate? Were we created by an advanced race of extraterrestrials, or the
God of the Bible? While the church, for the most part, refuses to deal with the
UFO phenomena, sightings world-wide continue. At some point the occupants of
these craft will reveal themselves and when it does what will you believe? Will
they declare, they are our creators, that they manipulated our DNA and created
all life on this planet? Will they give us a DNA upgrade, via an implantable chip? I believe the time is coming when we will see the so-called extraterrestrial
presence openly manifest on the earth. It is the game changer, the mega lever,
the paradigm shift, that will change everything. However, I call it the coming
Great Deception.

“Out of this World” Remote Viewing

More than Just an Intelligence Gathering Tool
In the last article on the subject of Mars, I explored the possibility that certain speculative assertions (some
would insist I call them facts) about the Red Planet could be an important part of “the lie” (“pseudos” in the
Greek – 2 Thessalonians 2:13, from which our antecedent pseudo derives; see also, “lying wonders” or
pseudos teras – 2 Thessalonians 2:9). This cosmological falsehood will be a compelling myth that the Man of
Sin (i.e., Antichrist) will propagate amongst the inhabitants of our little but cosmologically decisive planet.
This last article discussed the collection of unusual structures on Mars known as Cydonia and expressed the
now commonplace notion that the odd shapes evident in multiple pictures taken by various NASA spacecraft,
resemble pyramids (three-sided ones) and to the outspoken and articulate believers (like Richard Hoagland,
Mike Bara, Graham Hancock, et al) testify to ancient, albeit extinct intelligent life once present there.
According to various authors who have written on the subject, our government carries out space exploration
not just by expensive, robotic mechanisms launched into outer space to visit our celestial neighbors (such as
NASA/JPL’s Curiosity that landed this past August, 2012), but occurs through a paranormal capability of the
human mind; namely, remote viewing. This capability has been implemented and no doubt refined by our
government (and others) for over four decades.
Remote viewing is essentially clairvoyance or mediumship clad in a scientific, “laboratory” guise (with a
euphemistic new name) to reduce the ‘spookiness’ of the practice.1 This author has written extensively about
the subject in my most recent books, Power Quest, books one and two (in particular, see Chapters 3 and 4 of
book two, The Ascendancy of Antichrist in America). These techniques were first studied methodically at
Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in 1972 by Hal Puthoff (a leading American physicist) – although in my
research I trace the origins much further back in time, to 1947 and the clandestine work of the infamous
Andrija Puharich. It eventually led to a highly specialized (if not purely “secular” and “clinical”) approach
used in military intelligence.2
The gist of the issue was how best to counter-act what the Soviets were doing with a group of Nazis, codenamed Doktor Greenbaum, that were engaged in psychic experiments and activities during World War II.
When the Allies were splitting up the spoils at war’s end, the Soviets eagerly nabbed this group while the
Americans remained indifferent. However, soon afterwards, the gap in this specific area along with several
other areas of strategic research (flying discs was another of particular interest) became a source of national
security paranoia, compounding our worry regarding the intentions of the Russian Marxists. Our military and
intelligence communities began to fret we were falling behind in a potentially vastly superior source of
strategic secret gathering and even the ability to control of the minds of our enemies. Hence, arising from this
Cold War hand-wringing was born psychic spying.
The Testimony of the RV Community
The intriguing aspect that has been only recently unfurled, is the material related to the use of remote
viewing techniques to reach out beyond our planet and seek information of other worlds. Richard M.
Dolan, in his multi-volume ‘Bible’ on Ufology, UFOs and the National Security State: The Cover-Up
Exposed, 1973-1991 (2009), supplies considerable additional details on how remote viewing has been
used to search these worlds psychically. To say the least, his accounts of various remote viewers, notably
Ingo Swann and Pat Price, are mind-boggling.
Ingo Swann is generally regarded as the father of the remote viewing program. In fact, one of the early
experiments related to “looking” at another planet. In 1973, Swann was asked to “predict” what the
Pioneer 10 satellite would find when it reached Jupiter. Along with Russell Targ, Puthoff’s seemingly
constant colleague, Swann specified 13 traits that the spacecraft would discover months before it arrived.
12 of the 13 were confirmed from Pioneers findings, including the notable feature of a “ring around the
planet.”3
Pat Price, fresh from demonstrating the high reliability of remote viewing to a skeptic “back at the lab”,
also provided some surprising data which had a bearing on the issue of intelligent life beyond our earth.
Price indicated that, on his own, he had “psychically seen” four alien underground bases scattered around
our world, each contained within a distinct mountain range. What nefarious plans did these earth-bound
aliens have by maintaining giant subterranean encampments here? Price suspected that these bases were
connected to alien “implants” and the abductions which facilitate the planting of these nano-sized devices.4
Fred Atwater (aka “Skip”), was the founder of the military’s remote viewing team in 1977. In 1982,
Atwater asked “PSI spy number one” Joe McMoneagle, to remote view “other worlds.” McMoneagle
confirmed Price’s observations offering details about underground tubes, tunnels, and ball shaped objects.
“It was a like no place I’ve seen before – a place I was thoroughly unfamiliar with.”
Ingo Swann had an extended experience with one Mr. Axelrod (a pseudonym), beginning in February
1975. After being picked up at 3 A.M. at a location to which he was told to drive, Swann was hooded then
taken up in a helicopter and flown for 30 minutes or so, then walked a considerable distance into a
building. Eventually, he sensed he was descending a substantial distance underground in an elevator.
Upon stepping off the elevator, he was escorted through extensive corridors only to end his journey with
his hood finally removed, face-to-face with Axelrod. Swann was then informed he would receive $1,000
per day to view locations “out of this world” on behalf of Mr. Axelrod. Apparently, Swann’s new client
had heard of the Saturn viewings and wanted to make use of his talents to explore specific coordinates on
another world. Swann agreed.
Soon he was looking at coordinates supplied by Axelrod and viewing 100-foot towers inside large craters
in which glowing green lights shone. Realizing that he was not seeing anything “of this world”, Swann
continuously asked Axelrod to explain what world he was observing, but with little success. Finally,
caving in to Swann’s persistent requests, Axelrod informed Swann he was viewing earth’s moon. At one
point in the remote viewing experience, Swann became disturbed. He informed Axelrod he was saw
humanoids busy at work, when they discovered Swann observing them. “Please quickly come away from
that place,” Axelrod exclaimed.5 Why the sudden fear? It wasn’t that Swann was physically present or
detectable in empirical way. Nonetheless, some psychic image of his bodiless viewpoint was detectable.
Secretly peering over an adversary’s shoulder is risky business; it is especially objectionable from the view
point of the one spied upon. However in the alternative world of psychic experience and alien encounters,
an intrusion like Swann’s – even if such observation occurs by the distant “mind’s eye” of the spy – may
have consequences beyond our most apprehensive imaginings.
What Is the Meaning of This?
So what are we to make of this curious set of events? The testimony of the Collins Elite, mentioned in my
earlier article regarding Nick Redfern’s book, Final Events provides a plausible answer.6 The “Elite”
suggest that our government is playing a dangerous game of deception with alien forces in something of a
double-cross to a pact purportedly consummated in the 1950s between the Eisenhower administration and
“them.” Reminiscent of the X-Files’ “Committee of the Elite” who made a deal with a fictional group of
malfeasant aliens, over several decades our government agreed to supply access to our planet’s resources
(most notably, human women for creating a race of hybrids!) in exchange for technologies they supply
along with an uneasy peace.7 However, in recent years fearful of the ulterior motives of this alien race,
The Collins Elite stressed (according to Redfern’s account) that our government has been literally
“fighting back”. One conscious and tactical aspect of this planetary counter-insurgency was to use remoteviewing to spy on the aliens. Dolan offers this spicy bit of input:
If one assumes the reality of an ET presence, and if one further supposes that the many accounts of
alien telepathic ability have some validity, we might presume that the remote viewers were of
interest to the aliens themselves. Indeed, it has been suggested to the author [Dolan] that Axelrod
and his blonde, blue-eyed helpers [later we learn Swann referred to them as “the twins” – which
my frequent readers will recognize the telling nature this bit of detail] were perhaps not exactly
human, either, but performing their own counter-intelligence assessment of their vulnerabilities to
human remote viewers.8
Lest we think the most spectacular accounts only pertain to our moon, a major player who oversaw the
Stargate Program (described in my earlier writings), Major General Albert Stubblebine said, “I will tell
you for the record that there are structures underneath the surface of Mars… I will also tell you that there
are machines under the surface of Mars that you can look at.”9
Major Ed Dames is another frequently cited remote viewer and was in fact, the operations officer and
trainer for new recruits into the intelligence community’s psychic spy ring. Dames very recently went into
considerable detail about these Martian structures on George Noury’s October 16, 2012, Coast-to-Coast
AM show (about two months before this article was published).
Dames offered that vast underground structures, uninhabited, exist on Mars as a remnant of a semiadvanced civilization dating from eons ago.10 He offered that the now extinct humanoids were composed
of two peoples – both races tall and thin – as a result of Mars’ physical characteristics. According to
Dames, Mars was the unfortunate victim of ten consecutive years of massive planetary collisions and
atmospheric storms that wiped out 85% of the population and virtually all of Mars’ water and atmosphere.
With years of pre-warning, the citizens of Mars built massive underground habitations. Subsequent to this
calamity they possessed limited resources to support life. Therefore, these carbon-based life forms went
extinct. Only “robotic” devices remained active and presently “await the return of their
creators” (obviously, Dames assumes some members of the Martian population escaped to other worlds,
perhaps to ours). For those who study these subjects, they will recall the notion of a cosmic collision
between Mars and a comet along with the destruction of so-called Planet K (aka Krypton meaning
“hidden”). This explosion formed the asteroid belt and may have been indirectly to blame for Mars’
unfortunate fate.11 Related to these purported “findings,” Dames claims the Russians (post-Soviet Union)
contacted his remote viewing group in an attempt to determine what happened to their unmanned
spacecraft, Phobus II, which unexpectedly exploded when only 50 meters from landing on Mars in 1989.12
It appeared to their scientists that some sort of projectile was launched from Mars’ surface destroying their
spacecraft (in the manner of an anti-ballistic missile). Dames asserts a massive “sand dollar-like robotic
device” was launched to intercept Phobus II from the underground “command center” under the Martian
surface, emphasizing that this action was taken by some type of sentient machine (an oxymoron?) still
functioning there.
Dames also discussed ancient structures on the earth’s moon. He provided an educated guess that some
sort of mining activity was performed on our moon millions of years ago. As if his claims couldn’t get any
more outlandish, Dames asserted that there is an active, robotic inhabited building of massive scale on “the
back side of the moon” (shades of the movie, Transformers: The Back Side of the Moon – 2011). This
structure emits objects which come and go to the moon. In fact, according to Dames, crop circles on the
earth’s surface are the result of the activity of these robotic devices! To bolster his lack of credibility,
Dames suggested the Illuminati were behind the possibility that the American election of November 6,
2012 might not come to pass. Given President Obama’s pending second term, we can surmise Dames’
prophecies (derived from his own remote viewing and in some cases those of RVers he knows) are rather
“hit and miss.” 13
Nevertheless, the notion of ancient artifacts, i.e., structures of intelligent design on other planets (and our
moon) is shared by virtually all remote viewers.
Ingo Swann’s interest in structures on distant worlds peeked in 1976 when an anonymous party gifted him
with a book by NASA photo analyst George Leonard entitled, Somebody Else is on the Moon. According
to Dolan, the photos were very similar to Swann’s drawings. In 1979, Vito Saccheri, an industrial engineer
took his friend Lester Howes, another engineer, to Houston to view these NASA photos which, at that
time, were available for public scrutiny upon special request. The prints were quite large and high
resolution (much beyond the quality in Leonard’s book) and provided compelling evidence of “obvious
machinery” and “three surprising pyramids that prompted me later to closely study the Egyptian Giza
pyramid complex.”14 Ah, there it is – pyramids once again. Proof positive we are all one big happy family.
The only question is whether humanity first started on our Earth or on Mars.
The revelation of remote viewing carried out by our intelligence services slowly leaked to the public within a
few years of Seymour Hersch’s 1974 article which broke the story of MK-ULTRA (in which paranormal
abilities of certain young children were scrupulously and secretly studied), followed up by the 1975 Church
Committee of the Senate that investigated how the various intelligence organizations, especially the C.I.A.
and the National Security Agency (N.S.A) were conducting illegal spying and even “drug testing” on
unwitting American citizens in such matters as the search for “truth serums.” 15
The Committee had a staff of 150 persons, conducted 800 interviews, 250 executive and 21 public hearings.
Their investigation was ordered by President Ford and placed under the auspices of Nelson Rockefeller who
produced, despite being a great friend of the U.S. military-industrial complex and especially its intelligence
apparatus, a thorough and purportedly honest expose of our government’s unscrupulous dealings.16 As I
documented in the final chapter of Power Quest, Book Two, although the Rockefeller Report was
confirmatory in the misconduct of our government, the scope of its discussion barely began to tell the whole,
sordid story.
Conclusion
To recap: the door to spiritualism was opened by Nazi scientists before, during (and in some regards, after)
World War II. It was clearly emphasized by the Soviets early in the game. But once the U.S. picked up on
how infatuated the communist regime in Moscow was with psychic spying, our government determined it
had to have its own program.
In the midst of spying on our enemies, we discovered that some beings who oppose us are different in more
ways than language and customs. Indeed, adherents believe and numerous accounts may confirm that our
most troublesome enemies don’t share our DNA, coming as they do from “beyond the pale”17 . Then again,
as worrisome as that possibility is, beings that share our DNA but not our planet, pose even greater questions
to consider. However, taking up that tale is for another day.
The CIA and the military may not have wanted to contribute tax dollars to inadvertently fund a spiritualist
practice in America as a means to counter the Soviets during the Cold War, but it had done so nonetheless.
Indeed, it was but a singular example among many where an occult worldview dominating the first half of
the twentieth century (most notably prefigured in Nazi Germany), became a major element of US behavioral
science, astrophysics, and intelligence operations in the latter half of the same. As an unexpected dividend,
our government-funded remote viewers provided cheap excursions into outer space adding information about
what may await us when we can physically inspect our solar system’s most immediate neighborhood. As the
mantra for the X-Files declared, “The Truth is Out There.” But how long will it be before we find it? I
venture that despite the optimism of its many advocates, remote viewing isn’t likely to be the horse we’ll ride
to ascertain its discovery.

How Should We Read?
The Method of Interpreting the Bible
PART 1
A frequent accusation against the Bible is that one can make it say whatever one
wants. Unquestionably there are people that take such liberty and try to make the
Bible fit into their philosophies. However, is it true that the Bible allows for such
liberties? Is God’s Word really so ambiguous? Or is there a method to properly
understand and capture the message that He intended for us to receive? The
importance of this question is staggering because where one begins will often
determine where one ends up. If our method of interpretation is so fluid that the
Bible can say anything, then it generally will. However, if our method assumes that
what is said is what is meant, then we will arrive at trustworthy conclusions not based
on how clever we are in our interpretation, but on our simply reading and believing
what the text says.
This type of interpretation is known as the grammatical-historical method. It
assumes that the words and thoughts that are conveyed in the Bible are used in the
same way that normal speech, writing, and conversation occur in everyday life.
Basically stated, we don’t have to read between the lines of the Bible to understand
what it means. The greatest advantage of interpreting the Bible in a straightforward
manner is that we are able to test our conclusions regarding what it says against
archeology, historical documents, and examination of the Hebrew and Greek grammar
of the particular passage.
Scripture Interprets Scripture
The wonder of the Bible is that we use Scripture to interpret Scripture based on the
words of Jesus in John 10:35, where he said “…and Scripture cannot be broken.” The
apostles Paul and Peter reiterate this:
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness. (1 Timothy 3:16)

beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written
in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some
understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own
they do also the rest of the Scriptures. (2 Peter 3:15, 16, emphasis
Notice that Peter equates the writings of Paul with “the rest of the Scriptures”, that is,
the Old Testament. Since Peter considers the writings of Paul to be inspired by God
as those of the Old Testament, which were obviously considered authoritative, we can
confidently use one book of the Bible to help interpret other books.
Using the Bible to interpret itself is not circular reasoning. The Bible is not just one
single document written by one author at one time. Rather, it is a collection of sixtysix books written by forty authors over a period of about 1,500 years. As a teacher of
the Bible trained at the secular, humanistic Hebrew University of Jerusalem, I am well
aware of its critics. Therefore, I take great interest in making sure that our approach
to interpreting Scripture be consistent. The fact that the Bible is a compilation of
many books by many authors over the period of 1500 years and that its message is
unified permits us to cross-reference its various books. Thus, when we use one
portion of Scripture to interpret another, we are not just performing a tautological
exercise. Rather we are referencing ancient documents and comparing those to other
ancient documents.
Hermeneutics
This discipline of interpretation is formally called hermeneutics, which is how we
decide what the Bible, or any text for that matter, actually means. Many people take a
very relaxed view of interpreting the Bible; they subscribe to a type of moral
relativism. However, they would fight tooth and nail when it comes to something like
their portion of an inheritance as defined in a will, or how much money is owed
according to a legal contract.
In the above cases, no one would be looking for a hidden meaning but would look at
the plain meaning of the text. No competent judge would try to “read between the
lines” in order to make a will, contract, insurance claim, or our bank balance say
something that it really doesn’t say – and if a judge did such a thing, we would all cry
“injustice!!”
What Do We Mean By Literal?
Just as the normal method of understanding everyday letters, contracts, and
documents is literal, straightforward, and uses the historical-grammatical approach
rather than the allegorical approach, this is also the method we use to interpret the
Bible. This does not mean that the biblical authors did not occasionally use
metaphors, similes, analogies, and once in a while even allegory to teach a point.
John, in the book of Revelation, sees a vision in heaven where Jesus is referred to as a
lamb and also as a lion (Rev 5:5, 6). Other times Jesus Himself states that He is the
Bread of Heaven (John 6:51), the Door (John 10:7), the Good Shepherd (John 10:11),
etc. Does this mean that we cannot understand the text or that everything is to be
taken allegorically? By no means! Jesus is making illustrations about Himself in order
to teach an important lesson. They are all true in the context of what He was
teaching. We would never assume that Jesus is actually flour, salt, and water, the
ingredients in literal bread, nor would we think that He is a piece of wood as a door,
nor even a four-footed creature as John saw in Revelation. We understand that He is
speaking figuratively. However, there are real truths behind what He was saying.
Jesus frequently used parables, a type of allegory to teach certain truths, yet there
was no question that it was a story. There was no thought that Jesus was actually
communicating a real, historical event. Telling stories (parables) was a very Jewish
way of teaching employed by many Rabbis of Jesus’ day.
What is Allegory?
We have spoken of the grammatical-historical method of interpretation and have
suggested that it is the normal method to be employed. What is the allegorical
method and why should we avoid interpreting the Bible in such a manner? J. Dwight
Pentecost addresses this manner of interpreting Scripture in great detail in his classic
work Things to Come. “In this method the historical import is either denied or
ignored and the emphasis is placed entirely on a secondary sense so that the original
words or events have little or no significance” (Pentecost 1958: 4). He also cites
Ramm who defines allegory as “…the method of interpreting a literary text that
regards the literal sense as the vehicle for a secondary, more spiritual and more
profound sense" (Ramm 1950: 1). Pentecost summarizes this by saying that “it would
seem that the purpose of the allegorical method is not to interpret Scripture, but to
pervert the true meaning of Scripture, albeit under the guise of seeking a deeper or
more spiritual meaning” (Pentecost 1958: 5).
Dr. Pentecost points out three dangers of the allegorical method:
1. The first great danger of the allegorical method is that it does not interpret
Scripture.
2. The basic authority in interpretation ceases to be the Scriptures, but the
mind of the interpreter. The interpretation may then be twisted by the
interpreter's doctrinal positions, the authority of the church to which the
interpreter adheres, his social or educational background, or a host of other
factors.
3. […] one is left without any means by which the conclusions of the interpreter
may be tested. (Pentecost 1958: 5,6)
An example of allegory is found in Galatians 4:24-26 where Paul plainly tells us that
he is using an allegory and he then gives us the meaning behind those symbols. We
are not left to dig for a deeper hidden meaning, nor are we to address every Old
Testament passage looking for the “real” truth behind the text. Paul is taking real,
historical events significant in their own right and is simply drawing out a typology to
teach a spiritual truth.
[…] which things are symbolic [ἀλληγορούμενα – allegory]. For these are the two
covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar – for
this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is
in bondage with her children – but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us
all.
The above example is not truly the employment of the allegorical method, but rather
the explanation of an allegory (Pentecost 1958: 7). We can be sure that Paul is not
using the allegorical method of interpretation because he did not deny the historicity
of the Old Testament account, but merely employed the story as an illustration.
The real issue between a literal and an allegorical method of interpretation is in
essentially knowing how God communicated with His people in Scripture. Did He
communicate in such a way that one had to read between the lines to truly get at
what He was saying? Or did He generally use plain language that was easy for
mankind to understand? What was God’s normal method of communication?
There are numerous examples of where the Bible interprets itself in very clear
language leaving no doubt whatsoever as to its intent. An example is found in
Genesis where God declares that man may eat from any tree except from the Tree of
the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Regardless of which method of interpretation we
use, we see that behind God’s words was a very real consequence. According to
Genesis and the rest of the Bible, man’s decision to eat of the tree had very real
consequences not to be undone until the end of time when the tree of life is restored
(Revelation 22:2). At least from the Bible’s standpoint, God’s words were to be taken
literally; to understand otherwise would confuse the entire message of the Bible (see:
Romans 5:12, 6:23 and I Corinthians 15:21). Let’s consider in detail the accounts of
Moses and Daniel to see which method of interpretation they employed.
Striking the Rock
The Children of Israel’s wandering in the wilderness offers an example of where
several biblical writers interpret in a literal fashion. After fleeing from Egypt through
the wilderness, they came to a place where they had no water. God commanded
Moses to strike the rock so that water would come out of it (Exodus 17:6). Moses did
so, and as a result, water gushed forth from the rock providing life-giving water to
the thirsty Israelites. This episode is recounted hundreds of years later as a historical
fact by the Psalmist Asaph in Psalm 78 where he declares:
Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. […] we
have heard and known […] our fathers have told us. For He […] appointed a law in Israel,
Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children
[…] And His wonders that He had shown them. Marvelous things He did in the sight of
their fathers, In the land of Egypt […] He divided the sea and caused them to pass
through; And He made the waters stand up like a heap. In the daytime also He led them
with the cloud, And all the night with a light of fire. He split the rocks in the
wilderness, And gave them drink in abundance like the depths. He also brought
streams out of the rock, And caused waters to run down like rivers. (Psalm 78:1, 3, 5,
7, and 11-16, emphasis mine)
Asaph uses very concrete words to describe the historical fact of the rock being
struck and water coming out, such as: “we have heard”, “our fathers have told us”,
“(God) appointed a law…to make known”. He makes it abundantly clear, that he, at
least, believed that the striking of the rock was a very real, historical event and that
the events occurred as stated. There is no sense of allegory whatsoever in his
language. The striking of the rock and water coming forth is reiterated in Psalm
105:41 where another Psalmist states: “He opened the rock, and water gushed out; It
ran in the dry places like a river.” Both of these writers have interpreted the events in
Exodus literally and straightforwardly.
Years later, in the Exodus story, they encountered another place where there was no
water. God then told Moses to speak to the rock, rather than hit it. Moses, extremely
frustrated with these people who seemed to never stop complaining, struck the rock,
rather than speaking to it as God commanded. As a result of Moses’ moment of
wrath, he was not allowed to enter into the Promised Land. God’s reasoning for doing
so was that Moses had not represented God accurately to the people. God was not
angry with the people, although Moses had communicated just the opposite through
his actions. God’s words were given plainly, “Speak to the rock” (Numbers 20:8).
Moses disobeyed and so there was a real consequence. “Then the LORD spoke to
Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the
children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I
have given them’” (Numbers 20:12).
We later find in the New Testament that Paul uses this real, historical event to teach a
spiritual truth. He claims the Rock to be Christ – that is Christ is He who satisfies our
true spiritual thirst. In fact, according to ancient Jewish sources, the rock was
believed to have physically traveled with the Children of Israel.1 Nevertheless he never
questions the original account’s historicity:
Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under
the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in
the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they
drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. But with most
of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil
things as they also lusted. (1 Corinthians 10:1-6, emphasis mine)
Paul obviously thought that these events actually did occur and were not just
metaphors or allegories because he says that the fathers truly were under the cloud
and did pass through the sea, but God was not happy with them and, consequently,
their dead bodies were all over the desert. He says that they became examples so
that we should not do as they did. Thus Paul discusses Jesus as the Rock to teach a
truth, but he in no way questions the historicity of the actual events. He rather
confirms that those things indeed happened and exhorts the Corinthians not to follow
suit.

How the Mayans led them to Jesus
As the end of 2012 rolls around, the impending doom of the Mayan
calendar hangs heavy in the air. Will we see the four horseman of the
apocalypse? Will there be super storms, wars and mass violence? One of
the predications that I’m sure that the Mayans never anticipated was the
affect of the Mayan calendar on the spiritual state of man.
A friend of mine called me one day and said she wanted to speak
with me about her daughter. Her 12 year old daughter had been watching
television shows about the Mayan calendar and the potential for 2012 to
be the end of the world. She had begun to ask questions about dying and
the end of the world. Her mom assured her that she had nothing to worry
about but yet she couldn’t shake the fear of the cataclysmic days that
were to come. I was able to share with her that we don’t know when the
world would end as Scripture tells us “No man knows about that day or
hour , not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son but only the
Father” (Matthew 24:36)
We talked about the fallacy of the Mayan calendar but more importantly
how she could know that she was assured salvation and peace. Praise
God we were able to lead her to Christ! She now has the peace that
passes all understanding and it doesn’t matter what the Mayans, the
Aztecs or Nostradamus predicted. And amazingly enough, a few weeks
after she was baptized another young man in our church was led to
Christ after he also expressed fears that the Mayan doomsday was near.
I began to research people’s fears about the end of 2012 and found that
there are quite a bit of people that are frightened at the possibility of the
world ending. Some of the conversations that I have observed online
include:
“ Is the world really going to end in 2012? I’m scared.”
“ I am here crying because I am just a kid and may never be a mother. Is
there scientific stuff about 2012? Please help me!”
“I am a 13 yr. old girl, I am so scared of 2012 and the world ending.”
The fear of 2012 doomsday among children has become such a
widespread phenomena that Fox News ran an article in June of this year
entitled “ Mayan End of World Hype is Causing Real Fear Among
Children.”
The article interviews NASA Astrobiologist David Morrison who runs the
Internet website ‘Ask an Astrobiologist’. Morrison said that he has been
getting an average of five questions a day from children wanting to know
if the world is going to end in 2012. Morrison goes on to say that he
doesn’t fear the day of December 21, 2012 and that there is no scientific
evidence to backup claims that the world is going to end on that day. He
does go on to say that he does worry about what people may do on that
day.
Morrison was interviewed in the Daily Mail and share that he had received
an email from a woman in Denmark that was pregnant. The woman told
him that she almost killed the child inside of her and her 2 year old
daughter for fear that they would have to endure the destruction of the
earth in 2012.
One 13 year old wrote Morrison “ I am considering suicide. I am scared
to tears. I don’t want to live anymore. I deserve an explanation.”
In May, 16 year old Isabel Taylor hanged herself after reading about what
will happen in 2012. She had been researching doomsday scenarios on
the Internet and had come to believe a nuclear meltdown was going to
happen in 2012.
NASA has said that it has received over 5,000 questions about the Mayan
calendar and the end of the world in 2012. Men, women and children are
frightened that this will be beginning of the end.
Donna Kashani, an adolescent psychiatrist says that “ Given whats out
there on TV or online, depending on their environments and their ages,
children are easily susceptible to irrational beliefs. If you share this
doomsday information with them, your going to scare them. And if they
see the end of the world as a ‘villain’, then they could hurt themselves in
order to ‘outsmart the villain’. “
So with this fear and paranoia hanging in the air, we need to be prepared
to speak peace to those children who are scared of this possible
doomsday. Assure them that the Mayan calendar means nothing but
more importantly, that salvation in Christ means assurance and security.
As Christians, we don’t have anything to fear in 2012. In fact, we can
take the opportunity to minister to those who are in fear of the possible
doom. Those who suffer in hopelessness and fear can be delivered into a
life of hope and joy in the hands of Jesus. May we be faithful servants and
step into the dark roads of the Mayan doomsday holding the banner of
Christ high. It is the Lord, our God who created this world and He is on
the throne. It is only when He sees fit for this world to end that it will
end. Until then, live like today could be your last day. Love and live like
Jesus.

The Most Excellent Mayan Adventure
From December 13, 2012 to December 22, 2012 Richard Grund, along with fellow SRT team member Larry
Barrett will be traveling to Mexico with L.A. Marzulli and Russ Dizdar. We will be in Chichen Itza, Mexico
visiting the Mayan Temple where the Mayan calendar is supposed to end. While we know that the world is not
ending the actual Mayan belief was that a “new age” would begin at that moment.
There has been much
discussion and misinformation about this event. The church at large has either over emphasized it or ignored it
completely. You may not understand why we are going there to be a part of this event. If you know what SRT
does, and what I do within SRT, you would understand that this is something we are called to be present at. Since
July of 2007 the Lord has sent SRT to various parts of the United States as well as a recent solo mission for me to
the Turks and Caicos Islands. It should be no surprise to anyone that He has dispatched us to be present at this
major supernatural event.
He has opened a door for a small part of the SRT team to be there through the
invitation from a tour group extended to L.A. Marzulli to speak. A door of opportunity was opened to us. Then,
the Lord inspired the swift financial blessing to cover the expensive cost of this trip for all of us. When the
Captain of the Hosts dispatches you, you don’t think twice about going.
Is it dangerous? A trip to Mexico for 9 days in of and itself is treacherous. Now, add to that hundreds (possibly
thousands of people) there to participate in this major New Age event and a dangerous supernatural element is
added to it. Every one of the sites mentioned further on in this article is areas of extreme demonic and ritual
activity. Multiple thousands of victims of ritual sacrifice have spilled their blood into the grounds. That almost
always creates powerful paranormal or supernatural activity.
Add to that the tens of thousands of people
performing similar rituals worldwide over the same period of time and there will be a heightened amount of
supernatural kinetic activity. It is a proven scientific fact that energy attracts energy. This applies to the spiritual/
supernatural as well.
Demonic energy will attract and draw demonic energy toward it.
We know this and
understand the dangers of it. This is nothing new to us. What is new is that it is in a foreign country for an
extended period of time. This is an important spiritual moment in history that the church needs to understand.
Those participating in it have been actively preparing for it for three years with a specific ritualistic tour for the
last year taking place. And yet, for the most part, the church has ignored all of this. Ignorance is not bliss.
Ignorance is not only foolish it can be fatal.
This story actually begins back in 2011. The story surrounds Hunbatz Men (no that is not the name of a 1960s
British Boy Band). He is the Mayan Daykeeper and Elder Priest of the Mayan Itza Council, and Pedro Pablo
Chuc Pech, President of the Mayan Council of Elders.
He led a group of Mayan Elders on a ceremonial
pilgrimage that carried the Thirteen Crystal Skulls from one coast of the United States to the other. The journey
began in Midtown Manhattan on the 27th of October, 2011 at the Edgar Cayce A.R.E (Association for Research
and Enlightenment) headquarters and ended in Los Angeles on November 11th, 2011 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel
after a 28 day sacred site tour. Before anyone thinks that the Edgar Cayce connection is a small one consider this
from their web site - With an international headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va., a regional headquarters in
Houston, regional representatives throughout the U.S., Edgar Cayce Centers in 37 countries, and individual
members in more than 70 countries, the A.R.E. community is a global network of individuals. (empahasis added)
What does the heretic psychic Edger Cayce have to do with the Mayan apocalypse? While Cayce never mentions
2012 in his predictions he did predict the end of an age and the entrance into a New Age, the Age of Aquarius.
Cayce talked about how mankind would enter into a New Age that would be known for three things: purity, global
consciousness, and a height of spiritual consciousness that we have yet to encounter. According to New Age
beliefs this is a time of spiritual enlightenment and the unification of the world in spiritual wisdom as their shared
ideal. A spiritual wisdom that is distinctly separate from and in conflict with The Bible. To those of us who know
and believe the One True God this will be a time of heightened apostasy and the influx of demonic spirituality into
society, our lives and even the church. And, all of that is the reason for this event.
Over two thousand years ago the Mayans had insight that a polar shift could start December 12 2012 when the
center of our galaxy would line up with the sun and the Earth. This alignment would be complete on the winter
solstice of 2012 – December 21st. It has been predicted that on the Winter Solstice of 2012 a Trans-Dimensional
Event (T-DE) will occur. The Mayan Day-keepers view the December 21, 2012 date as a rebirth, the start of the
World of the Fifth Sun. It will be the beginning of a new era according to the Mayan Calendar. On this day the solar
meridian crosses the galactic equator, and the Earth aligns itself with the center of the galaxy.
At sunrise on December 21, 2012, for the first time in 26,000 years the Sun rises to align with the intersection of
the Milky Way. This cosmic cross is considered by those who adhere to these beliefs to be an embodiment of the
Sacred Tree, The Tree of Life - a tree remembered in all the world's spiritual traditions (remember this term it will
appear again later on). This alignment will bring massive energy waves and particles which to supposedly impact
our consciousness and have an even greater impact on our planet. This vortex of energy will bring enlightenment to
the Universe. Some observers believe this alignment with the heart of the galaxy will open a channel for cosmic
energy to flow through the Earth, cleansing it and all that dwells upon it, raising mankind to a higher level of
vibration. Astronomers with the Hubble telescope and modern technology proved the Mayans right. How the
Mayans had knowledge of this without computers and telescopes is a total mystery to the secular world. To those of
us who study such things from a Spiritual perspective the only source of this deception are the fallen angels and
their demonic offspring.
On 11-11-11 the original group of Mayan elders accompanying Hunbatz Men was met by another group of thirteen
Elders from the Mayaland in LA to come together in a Gateway Event highlighted by the performance of the
Mayan Crystal Skull Ceremony. The Elders, whose traditions have always been kept within their inner circle, have
been instructed to perform all of their ceremonies in public from this point on; for this reason, the Ceremony of the
Thirteen Crystal Skulls, a ceremony that was last performed 26,000 years ago, was now open to the general public.
They believe that when the Spirits of the Skulls have ceremonially awakened, ancient wisdom, wisdom that has
been preserved in a crystalline matrix for eons, enters the unified field and fills the collective consciousness with
all the knowledge of everything that has happened on the planet in the last 26,000 years, and perhaps beyond.
Still think this is another “nonevent”?
Sites being visited during this stay are – the extensive site of the sacred Mayan city of Chichen-Itza, considered
one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World.” Covering an approximate sixty mile area with impressive ancient
temples and buildings, we will visit the Kukulcan pyramid, whose architecture is full of Mayan symbolism, as
well as the famous ancient Observatory.
We will then go to Coba and Tulum. Tulum is located in a magnificent setting high on bluffs overlooking the
sparkling blue turquoise Caribbean Sea to experience the mystical Coba, with the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan at
over 126 feet. The pyramids and buildings are situated on the shores of several lakes and the architecture is
unique. Numerous ancient roads led into this huge Mayan city center, one of them over 62 miles long – the
longest in the Mayan world. We will be allowed to climb to the top of one of the pyramids at Coba to see for mile
over the jungle an unobstructed view of the temple mounds peeking above the trees.
Ek Balam, whose name means “Black Jaguar,” has an impressive Acropolis-type pyramid. Restoration has been
going on for a few years and not many tourists have visited the site. Later that same day we will experience the
old Mayan village of X’ochen, whose name means the “Center of the Universe.” In this traditional Mayan village
people maintain the “old ways”.
Maya Wiseman, or J-Men, celebrates a highly respected sacred ceremony
named: Ya’axche’. This ceremony represents the connection between Heaven, Earth, Man, and the Underworld
for the Maya. This sacred site has served as the grounds of many Mayan holistic rituals and sacred mystical
ceremonies. The Ceiba Tree of Life plays an important central part at each Mayan Wedding Ceremony and in
other Mayan holistic rituals as well as in many Mayan mythological. The ancient Ceiba tree (The Mayan Tree of
Life) located at the entrance of the village offers the sense being in a different time. “The 7 Moments of Maya”
songs, dances, rituals and ceremonies that are pure Mayan, both ancient and modern, will be performed.
All of this culminates at sunrise on December 21 with a special ceremony and entrance with governmental
permission into Chichen-Itza (when it is closed to the public) and at the exact time of the Solstice. The Winter
Solstice show will include an unprecedented, full regalia ceremony with the Mayan Elders. Yes, the Mayan Elders
that took the Crystal Skulls on their “awakening tour” will be there too, along with the skulls to be part of this
ceremony. At 11:11 PM, on the night of the 2012 Winter Solstice, at the exact moment when our Sun and the
Earth go into alignment with the center of the galaxy, the Mayan Elders will present a guided meditation to unite
all the adherents present, and those located on other sacred sites, in the unification of their hearts and spirits.
According to these teachers, the time has come to lift the “Quarantine” and to release the spirit of the Mayan God,
Queztalcotl, the Mesoamerican deity whose name comes from the Nahuatl language meaning of "feathered
serpent". In other words, this entire event is to release the Mayan God from his quarantine upon all of humanity.
Who is Queztalcotl? We’ve already seen he is the Mayan God (feathered serpent) but he is also seen as a bearded
white man. Quetzalcoatl was often shown as a man with a beard named Ehecatl, the wind god. Sometimes he was
shown wearing a mask with two protruding tubes (through which the wind blew) and a conical hat. Of course,
Ancient Aliens presents this as meaning he was an Alien astronaut. Some Mormons believe that Quetzalcoatl,
who has been described as a white, bearded god who came from the sky and promised to return, was actually
Jesus Christ. According to the Book of Mormon, Jesus visited the American natives after his resurrection. LDS
Church President John Taylor wrote: The story of the life of the Mexican divinity, Quetzalcoatl, closely resembles
that of the Savior; so closely, indeed, that we can come to no other conclusion than that Quetzalcoatl and Christ
are the same being. But the history of the former has been handed down to us through an impure Lamanitish
(members of a dark-skinned nation of indigenous Americans) source. The story of Quetzalcoatl resembles the life
of Jesus? Hmmm, not so much when you consider who the “feathered serpent” really is.
What will occur at this event? No one actually knows. Due to the coverage, and our presence, the enemy may
make a subtle discreet entrance into this reality. It may be something so subtle the natural eye and the secular
world misses it. If that occurs I would suggest you watch for world and news activity that may reveal the result of
this celebration. With the amount of support and demonic energy there may be a more overt actualization of their
efforts. Time and our video cameras will tell. Either way, the Lord has made sure to have His witnesses in place
for whatever happens.
This event, and all of the ceremonies and performances leading up to it, is the
manifestation of their dreams of a rise in spiritual consciousness to awaken the world and guide it out of the
darkness into their false light. As witnesses of the Most High God we will expose the darkness behind this event
by dragging it out into the open and into the true Light of scriptural, spiritual Truth. We will also be ready to
intercept or intervene if the Captain of the Hosts delivers the order.
However, we must also consider that
mankind, and the weakened apostate church, may have set in motion the order to “stand down” just as the angels
did at the onset of the Days of Noah.
We must remember that at any time there could have been Divine
intervention on behalf of mankind during the hundreds of years in which the violence, sin and debauchery of the
fallen angels and the Nephilim covered the Earth. Mankind has always been given a choice between darkness and
light. More than once, they have chosen darkness over Light, chosen the fallen creation over the Creator and
suffered judgment because of it. Is December 21, 2012 the coming out party for the return of the Nephilim? Is it
the end of the church age and the beginning of the age of deception? Only time, and prophecy, will tell.

My wife and I are very pleased with and thankful for your ministry, and your boldness
in exposing the enemy for what he is, a deceiver. We have really enjoyed Watchers 1-3
and have ordered Watchers 4 and 5 just this last week. We are looking forward to
having them. We also have and enjoyed Messenges of Deception, and look forward to
adding the other two lectures to our LA collection.
I like your scenario on the "Mark of the Beast". Though none of us knows precisely,
your view that you put forth on Liberty Radio seems very valid to me. (Implant,
changing one into a sort of Nephalim hybrid, therefore an accursed abomination).
We will be backing you up with prayer in Jesus' Holy name, and praying the Lord
surround your and your team with warrior angels as you go down to the old Mayan
temple site in December. The Lord God bless you, keep you, strengthen and embolden
you.
I have some thoughts about those who "work for the anti-Christ"; Do you suppose
those who are minions of the evil son of perdition are actually AWARE of what they are
doing? That is, are they followers of the satanic order of things, trying to usher in the
Great Tribulation on behalf of the evil one, or do you suppose many of them are merely
deceived into believing that they are working toward an "era of peace and prosperity"
like we here from so many of the other cults? I imagine there is a combination of many
people on different levels of deception or direct action within the framework. I know the
enemy will use all at his disposal. The fact that the Lord says in Matthew 24 that the
time is short lest the very elect be deceived also comes to my mind a lot these days, as I
have seen the Church go from an Holy institution to an entertainment scheme in a lot of
cases, not preaching about sin, redemption, salvation, or the Return of the Lord, and
ignoring the gifts and operation of the Holy Ghost!
We are in very interesting times, and I thank you for shedding light on some of the
deceptions out there, lest we the elect stumble and get sucked into this gobblety gook.
The Lord bless and keep you and yours, and give you peace. May you have a glorious
Thanksgiving, as we are all continuously giving thanks and praise to our Lord in all

Good morning LA. It was great having the opportunity to speak with you Monday
evening. I appreciate you taking the time in the midst of your busy schedule. I will
attempt to relay to you my recollection of the encounter on the streets of Vancouver,
Canada, as well a few other experiences that may or may not hold some interest for
you. As I mentioned over the phone, my wife Kate and I have had a fair amount of
experience over the years dealing with deliverance, demonically possessed
individuals, witchcraft, and ministry in dark places. As a result, we have witnessed a
few strange and spiritually challenging situations. I will begin with the Vancouver
incident which we spent much time on in our discussion.
1.
My encounter with the individual that we discussed occurred in August of 2009,
in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The specific area is known as Hastings Street on the lower
East side of the city’s downtown. Although a smaller area than skid row in LA, it is in
many respects much worse. We had taken a team there to engage in street ministry
and had already been there for a few days when the actual encounter occurred. On
that particular evening, we had been spending time in prayer in a Salvation Army
prayer room that had been graciously made available to us. We had over the previous
couple of days been going out both during the daylight hours and in the evenings to
connect with people and do whatever we could for them. As we opened the door and
stepped out onto the sidewalk, I noticed an individual standing a few feet away facing
in our general direction. My immediate sense was that he had been waiting for us. I
think he caught my attention because he was quite tall, perhaps 6’4-6”. He appeared
to be Caucasian, wearing a ball cap and trench coat, though it was a warm night. I
walked up to him and struck up a conversation, and as I told him what we were doing,
he seemed to already know. It was clear that he was neither a classic “street person”
or addict, as he was quite articulate and communicated clearly and appeared to be in
his right mind, so to speak. During our entire conversation, he spoke in a very
monotone voice and to my recollection, never made eye contact with me or any of my
team, but as I looked at his eyes, they were dark and appeared dead. I attempted to
find out what I could about him, and at one point he informed me that he had been
sent there recently from San Francisco to “watch over the people” on Hastings Street..
We spoke for approx. 15 minutes, about the people there, about our own activities
there, etc. At one point a young asian girl, perhaps somewhere in her 20’s, walked by.
He called her over and, while the details are now vague to me, it was clear that he had
control over her mind. As we spoke, I had an increasing sense of alarm rising up in me
and finally I realized that my team was in significant danger. Though I had not sensed it
at the beginning, it was now becoming clear to me that this person was the
embodiment of evil. I ended our conversation and we moved on. I never saw this
individual again over the next few days and nights on the streets, but the very next
morning during our pre-ministry prayer time I had a revelation that the person from the
previous night was in some way the manifestation of the evil we had been feeling on
the streets each night. In reflecting on the encounter, it seems to me that indeed this
individual was not human, but was either a physical manifestation of the ruling spirit in
that area, or a hybrid.
2.
After another year of intense ministry with our church and ministry, we went on
a sabbatical leave in the Fall of 2010. Another ministry we are in relationship with paid
for us to go for prayer ministry in Spokane, WA and so we determined that was where
we would spend our sabbatical time. We ended up staying in Coeur d ‘Alene for the
next 3 months, during which time I began to write a novel dealing with angels,
witchcraft, and spiritual warfare, based loosely on many experiences in our own lives
up to that point. During my time of prayer one morning I felt the Lord instructing me to
go to a specific place where I would meet an angel. I had wanted to go hiking in this
area because of the gathering of migrating eagles there at this time of year, but had
not yet done so. A few days later, I drove out to Mineral Ridge, on the east side of Lake
Coeur d ‘Alene and parked in the lot at the bottom of the ridge. There were no cars in
the parking lot and as it had just lightly snowed, I could see that no one else had been
there yet that day. I climbed the trail and found the surroundings to be almost exactly
as I had seen it in my prayer time. I walked the length of the ridge, still anticipating the
encounter that was to occur. At the far end of the ridge just prior to the descent back to
the parking lot, I heard someone approaching from behind. I turned to find an elderly
man (perhaps late sixties or early seventies) and greeted him. I noted that he moved at
a very brisk pace and had come up a very steep incline for someone who appeared to
be as physically frail as he did, but did not say this to him. He greeted me as well and
stopped to talk. He told me his name was Eloi, and though our conversation did not
include any spiritual content, I did feel encouraged when it came to an end. My ringing
phone interrupted the discussion, and he continued on down the trail. I followed a few
minutes later, but the snow was undisturbed on the path before me. When I arrived in
the parking lot, there were no vehicle or foot tracks to be found. Eloi had told me that
he came there every day at 11:00 am, but on the subsequent days I returned every
day at the same time but never ran into him again.
I should also note here that on the second day of our prayer ministry in Spokane with
an experienced minister, she was very disturbed and filled us in on the cause of her
dismay. She stated that during the previous night her home was visited by what she
called a “Watcher”. She described it as a very malevolent spirit and informed us that
this had never happened to her before. She related to us that she had not slept the
entire night, but instead was actively engaged in spiritual warfare until daylight, when it
finally left. She was quite clear that she attributed its presence to our being there, and
her sense was that it had followed us there. It did not return and to my knowledge has
not to this day. We continued our sessions for two more days, but we could not
complete the entire allotted five days because she was called away suddenly to
another state to attend the funeral of her brother whose death was sudden and quite
unexpected.
3.
In researching for my novel, I discovered that there is located in our city a
branch of a secretive witch coven that dates back to the 14th century in Bavaria and
Austria. This particular coven is involved with the black arts at the very deepest levels
and has been under cover within segments of the Roman Catholic church both here
and back in Europe. In addition to this particular coven, I am aware of at least one
other coven that operates here, that has a “war room” with detailed maps of the city
and strategic plans for occult activity, and includes in its membership some prominent
people in our city. Over the years we have spoken with numerous people who have
visited our city and described the spiritual heaviness upon it. Our city has been the
birthplace of several revivals over the past 100 years that have had international
influence, but have ended in division and strife here at home.
Over the years, my wife and I have had a significant amount of interaction with people
who were demonically possessed, involved with witchcraft, etc. We have determined
with some degree of accuracy that there was a significant amount of witchcraft
involvement in my wife’s ancestral line, and have had to break that off over the years.
Both of our ancestors come from a region of Austria/Hungary that was steeped in
witchcraft and occult activity for centuries. I only share this because it seems to be
involved in our connections in this area somehow. I will also note that whenever my
wife ministers, especially overseas, people get radically delivered from demonic
possession. Even when the altar call has nothing to do with that issue, it happens.
4. On a UFO note, I remember as a child of perhaps 8 or 9 years of age sitting in the
back seat of my parent’s car on the way home late one evening from my uncle’s place
a few miles outside of our city. It was quite dark out and as I looked out the side
window I saw a bright light shoot past the car going in the same direction as we were.
It was slightly above tree height and moved at a rapid rate until it vanished out of view.
I haven’t thought of this for years, but it came to mind as I was writing this.
I have a few other stories with a paranormal flavor to them, but I will perhaps save
them for a future conversation. In closing, I will leave you with this final account of a
“vacation” we took a few years ago.
When my wife and I visited the extreme east coast of Canada in 2006, we
rented a car and drove around Cape Breton Island. This is where the first settlers from
England landed in the 1500’s. On our first night there we stayed in a bed and breakfast
that was housed in what was once the home of a wealthy coal mine owner in the area.
We were given the room which the current owners described as the original master
bedroom, and clearly it seemed to be upon our inspection. We were tired and went to
bed early, only to be both awakened in the middle of the night by an intense spiritual
presence which I can tell you was quite unpleasant. We were taken quite by surprise
and spent the rest of the night in spiritual warfare mode. The next morning we packed
up early and left, continuing on our journey around the island. We were both still
somewhat distressed from the ordeal of the previous night and our spirits were still on
alert. My wife Kate, is very sensitive spiritually and as we drove along the winding and
scenic road, she suddenly began to become very distressed. I know her well enough
to know that this was indicative of spiritual activity. As we turned the next corner, we
came upon a Scottish Presbyterian church by the side of the road. As we put some
distance between us and the church building, her distress decreased. After another ten
minutes or so, it again increased. Around the next bend was again another church of
the same denomination. This continued to occur two or three more times over the next
hour, and we both knew that the connection was with the churches, being the
denomination that Scottish free masonry was birthed in and brought to this country at
its inception. What happened shortly thereafter did not even come up on our radar. We
stopped in a quiet little bay which was apparently the location of the first landing of a
European ship on Canadian shores captained by John Cabot. We decided to splash
around in the water to relax, and were joined by a few children from a family that had
stopped there when we did. The bay was completely calm and there were tiny little
waves that lapped at our feet. I was splashing around with a couple of the children on
one side of me when I turned around to say something to Kate. She was not there!
Suddenly, she burst out from beneath the surface gasping for air, sand embedded in
her cheek, and her shoulder dislocated! She had been slammed to the floor of the bay
in less than three feet of water while I was completely unaffected only three to four feet
away. We still don’t know how this happened, but it was clearly a spiritual attack. I had
to slam her arm back into the socket and we had to pray for the pain to go away, which
it did right away. We continued on our way and it was not until we came down out of
the highlands that we felt safe again. We did not encounter any physical
manifestations of spiritual beings (non human), but the spiritual warfare was quite
intense.
Again, it was a pleasure speaking with you and I look forward to our next conversation,
and perhaps the day when we meet face to face. Until then, know that you are blessed
and highly favored, well equipped for the task ahead of you. I will be praying for you,
