Day 1: Departure from the USASan Jose Depart on your flight to beautiful

1500’s. Upon arrival in San Jose, the country’s
economic, political and cultural capital, you
are greeted at the airport by your Tour Director
and escorted to your hotel where the balance
of your day is free.

Day 2: San Jose This morning’s guided sight-
Day 6: Jaco Beach Area-Manuel AntonioJaco Beach Area Enjoy an exciting full-day
seeing of San Jose features visits to 19th-century
National Theatre, considered the nation’s finest
monument, and the National Museum with its
fine collection of antiques from pre-Columbian
to modern times. Enjoy views of Metropolitan
Cathedral, Central Park, and the University of
Costa Rica. On your free time, consider a visit
to one of the city’s many museums or shopping
in the Plaza de la Cultura.
Day 3: San Jose-Zarcero-Arenal Volcano
Area Journey to the Lake Arenal region where
your first stop is the mountain town of Zarcero,
famous for its amazing animals sculpted from
living cypress trees. Continue to one of the area’s
Thermal Hot Springs whose warm water is heated
from within the volcano. You may swim or stroll
through the botanical gardens. Proceed to the
Arenal Volcano area for your overnight stay.
Day 4: Arenal Volcano Area Today’s highlight is a visit to the Arenal Volcano National Park
where you will see incredible views of one of
the world’s most active volcanoes, considered
dormant until the late 1960’s.

excursion to Manuel Antonio National Park, one
of Costa Rica’s most beautiful parks, to observe
its wide variety of wildlife and marine life. Enjoy
free time to relax in the gardens along the white,
sandy beaches before returning to the Jaco
Beach area.
Day 7: Jaco Beach Area Enjoy an entire free
day to explore the Jaco Beach area at your own
pace. Free-time activities you may consider are
horseback riding, golf, surfing, ocean kayaking,
whitewater rafting, and ecological tours.
Day 8: Jaco Beach Area-Sarchi-Poas
Volcano-San Jose-(Costa Rican Fiesta)
Begin your day with a drive to the rustic village
of Sarchi, best known for its colorful native
crafts. Later, journey to Poas Volcano National
Park to see the world’s largest active crater set
in one of Mesoamerica’s most splendid national
parks. Hike through a nature trail up to the
green crater lagoon. Later, return to San Jose.
