Site Location:
Skarnes is located approx 70 km East of Oslo, Norway on Hwy #2. Site is
approx 1 km from the city square in Skarnes and 45 km from Oslo Gardermoen
international airport. More details at www.eame09.no
Airport:
The main airport in Norway and the airport we recommend is Oslo Gardermoen
international airport (OSL). It is located 45 km West of Skarnes. The official
hotels are located 5 minutes from the international arrival and departure
terminal.
Local Transport:
The organiser will provide local transport between the official hotels and the site
for all those interested. A specific transport schedule will be available in bulletin
#2. However, the schedule will most likely show three daily departures (Friday,
Saturday & Sunday) from the hotels at 7am, 8,30am & 10am and three daily
returns from the site at 3pm, 4,30pm & 6pm
All major rental car companies have offices at Oslo Gardermoen international
airport.
Tournament Lake
The tournament lake is man-made and is approx 750 meters long by 80 meters
wide. Absolutely perfect design with no backwash! The average depth is
approximately 2 meters. A live web camera, displaying the site, is available 24/7

page www.eame09.no A second lake, also man made, will be available for
training.

Entry Fees:
Entry fee will be E 120 per skier regardless of how many events entered. Please
use official EAME entry form. Late fees will apply in accordance with EAME
rules.
Intention to Enter:
Please complete and return the enclosed Intention to Enter form no later than
June 15, 2009. Late fees will apply in accordance with EAME rules.
Banquet:
Information with reference to the official 2009 U-21 EAME Championships
banquet will be available in bulletin #2. Banquet tickets will cost between E20
& E40 per person.
Currency:
The local currency is Norwegian Kroner. For an accurate exchange rate, please

Almost all local facilities will accept all major credit cards. At the site you will
be able to pay for lunches in either Kroner or Euro.
Visas:
A valid passport is required for entry into Norway except for Scandinavian
citizens. Normally no visa is required for entry into Norway but we strongly
suggest you contact the Norwegian Embassy in your country to verify this.
Tow Boats:
The official tow boat for the 2009 U-21 EAME Championships will be a 2009
Correct Craft Ski Nautique 196 with the 409 hp engine. Information about speed
control will be available in bulletin #2.
Homologation
The 2009 U-21 EAME Championships will be run as a Record capability
tournament.
Training
You will be able to request training times on both lakes starting March 1st, 2009.
The deadline for requesting training times is June 15th . All requests will then, as
far as possible, be allocated in a fair way giving all teams an equal opportunity
to practice according to team size. After July 1st the organiser reserves the right
to sell any remaining training time on a first come first serve basis. Training can

Training times will be offered and sold in either 15 minute intervals or per the
hour. The rates for training will be as follows:
15 minutes: Euro 60
1 Hour: Euro 220
