Imagine a holiday hide-away buried
deep in a Scottish glen, or set
amidst the panoramic splendour
of the lower Strathtay, or located
within a famous castle’s historic
landscape. On Atholl Estates,
imagination becomes reality when
you take a break in one of our six
fully-equipped self-catering lodges,
each with its own character and set
in magnificent surroundings.
Atholl Estates covers 145,000 acres
of Highland Perthshire, with the
picturesque village of Blair Atholl
and Blair Castle at our heart.
With magnificent heather-clad hills
and wooded glens, the sparkle of
lochs, rivers and tumbling burns,
as well as rolling farmland, the
estate is the perfect place to take
time out from the pressures of your
everyday life.
Set in the glens of Bruar and the
Tilt respectively, Glen Bruar Lodge
and Forest Lodge are ideal for an
outdoor break with a large group
of friends or family. Also set in
Glen Tilt is Marble Lodge, perfect
for a small group of walkers or
fishing enthusiasts.

Old Blair, with it’s period charm and
surrounded by organic farmland, is
set close to Blair Castle and is ideal for
wedding guests.
All of our lodges are centrally heated
and well equipped, perfect for a leisure
holiday or family celebration and may also
offer country sports and fishing in the
respective seasons.
Kindrochet is also within a short driving
distance of Blair Castle making it an ideal
larger property for a family gathering or
touring base.
Finally, Convalloch Lodge is set towards
the southern end of Atholl Estates, closer
to Perth and other Highland Perthshire
attractions, yet still surrounded by rich
farmland.

Old Blair
sleeps up to 12 people
Set in a hamlet a few hundred
yards from Blair Castle, Old
Blair started life as an inn, and
now is a comfortable, homely
lodge surrounded by landscaped
parklands, organic farmland and
miles of way-marked trails.
With sash windows, an open fire in
the drawing room and an oil-fired
Aga in the kitchen, the lodge is
filled with period charm. As well as
the Aga, the fully equipped kitchen
has an electric oven and hob,
microwave, dishwasher and fridge,
while the utility room has a second
fridge- freezer, washing machine
and tumble dryer.
On the ground floor, the annexe
area is perfect for older children
with a separate sitting room with
television, video and DVD player
as well as a twin bedroom with
ensuite shower room.
Sleeping up to ten guests in
the main lodge, and two in the
connected annexe, Old Blair is
the ideal lodge for a family break,
and is always popular for castle
wedding guests and festive family
gatherings.
Old Blair has stunning views of
the surrounding countryside and
the ruins of St. Brides Kirk. Even
a short walk from the lodge will
provide plenty of opportunities to
see ponies, deer, sheep, cattle and
red squirrels.

Convalloch Lodge
sleeps up to 12 people
With spectacular views of the
lower Strathtay, and surrounded
by woodland, organic farmland
and nearby moorland, Convalloch’s
secluded location is ideal for a
holiday break for up to ten guests
in the main lodge and two in the
separate annexe (which also has a
sitting room).
A separate utility room houses a
washing machine, tumble dryer
and additional freezer. The lodge
has electric heaters throughout.
Convalloch has an open plan
kitchen, dining and sitting room
with wood-burning stove and
doors opening to the grass terrace,
as well as a separate drawing room
with television, DVD player and
CD stereo. The kitchen is fullyequipped with electric oven and
hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and
microwave.
Tennis players will appreciate the
tennis court, nature lovers can
discover the many acres of specially
designated land nearby and fishing
enthusiasts can take advantage of
hill loch and salmon fishing, both
just a few minutes drive from the
door.
Despite its seclusion, the lodge
is only three miles from the A9,
making it perfect for a touring
base.

Kindrochet Lodge

Blending Victorian architecture
with modern renovation,
Kindrochet is the perfect lodge for
a special occasion or a break for
up to sixteen guests. With a fullsized billiards table in the games
room, open fires in the sitting and
drawing rooms, television and DVD
player in the sitting room and five
ensuite bathrooms (one with rolltop bath), you can indulge yourself
in this delightful residence.
The bright kitchen and breakfast
room, with a bay window
overlooking the garden, is fully
equipped with modern appliances
including a range oven, fridge,
deep freeze and two dishwashers,

A cook’s bedroom with en suite is
available on the ground floor.
The rear garden at Kindrochet
has a large lawn area, perfect
for children’s games, as well as a
patio in a sun-trap with outdoor

miles along a private track* from
Calvine, Glen Bruar Lodge is the
ultimate escape from everyday life.
Full of original 18th Century
character, the lodge is a classic
example of how a Highland
sporting lodge should be. Enjoy a
whisky by the roaring open fire in
the drawing room, eat dinner in
style in the double aspect dining
room, read, watch television or a
DVD in the separate sitting room
with open fire.

The fully equipped kitchen has a
gas-fired cooker with 6 rings, oven
and grill, two fridges, chest freezer
and dishwasher while the utility
room has a washing machine. The
lodge also has a spacious drying
room.
Glen Bruar Lodge is surrounded by
a backdrop of heather and open
moorland with deer, grouse and
golden eagles, offering plenty of
walking, wildlife watching and
star- gazing opportunities. Fishing
enthusiasts can cast a line for
brown trout on the Bruar loch, just
a short walk from the lodge.

Located in a dramatic and secluded
setting at the heart of Glen Tilt,
eight miles along a private track
from Blair Atholl, this classic
sporting lodge is full of period
charm.
Inside the lodge, there is a spacious
drawing room with bay window
and open fire, the dining room also
has an open fire. A smaller sitting
room provides a separate area for
reading, watching television or a
video/DVD.
The fully equipped kitchen has
a catering sized dual fuel cooker
with gas hob and electric fan oven
plus a free-standing gas cooker, a
larder fridge, smaller second fridge,
chest freezer, two dishwashers,
microwave and hostess trolley as
well as an enclosed larder.
Inside the separate utility/drying
room there is a washing machine
and tumble dryer, along with a
second drying room.
Built on the banks of the River Tilt,
and surrounded by hills, Forest
Lodge is perfect for a week’s
escape for you (and up to nineteen
of your friends) and is ideal for
fishing, fieldsports, walking,
mountaineering or a special family

Marble Lodge

Set on the banks of the River Tilt, a
river renowned for its character and
beauty, five miles up the private
Glen Tilt track, Marble Lodge is a
charming and comfortable lodge
for up to four guests. Ideal as a
base for fishing or walking, in the
evenings you can relax by the open
fire in the sitting room and step
back in time to a more simple age.
Originally a shepherd’s cottage
but now fully modernised, the
fully- equipped kitchen has a
free-standing electric oven with
hob, microwave, fridge/freezer,
dishwasher and washing machine/
tumble dryer.
The lodge has a heated drying
cupboard suitable for coats
and boots and there is a fitted
bathroom with bath/shower.
A double bedroom and a twin
bedroom sleep up to four guests
comfortably.
Surrounded by the wildlife and
moorland wilderness of Glen Tilt,
you will be able to enjoy long walks
along the pony tracks, or for the
more energetic, several munros
(hills over 3000ft) are within a
day’s hike. Angling enthusiasts
will particularly enjoy the prolific
salmon fishing available seasonally
on the River Tilt and for nonanglers, the sight of these fish as
they make their way upstream
to spawn is an awe inspiring
spectacle.

Our lodges are usually let
by the week, typically a
Saturday to Saturday let.
During the off-peak season,
we accept short breaks of
2 or 3 nights. Please see
our enclosed rates sheet for
further information.
Guest numbers
For each lodge we have
listed the maximum number
of guests. Please note that
we cannot accept any more
guests at each lodge than
this maximum number.
Children are included in this
number, although we can
accept an additional infant
sleeping in a cot. If you
have a larger party, many of
our guests book more than
one lodge.
Children & infants
We welcome children
and infants in our lodges,
although they will be
within guest numbers (see
above). If you require a cot
and high chair, please let
us know when making a
booking.
Dogs
A reasonable number of
well-behaved and housetrained dogs are permitted
in the lodges. Dogs are not
permitted in the bedrooms
or on any of the furniture.
Old Blair and Kindrochet
lodges have kennels outside
for your use.
Linen
A full linen service is
provided at our lodges.
Rentals of longer than one
week’s duration will receive
one linen change per
week. Should you require
additional linen changes,
please discuss this when
making your booking.
Cleaning
Our house-keepers ensure
that our lodges are clean
and tidy for the guests’
arrival. If you would like
additional cleaning services
during your stay, please
discuss this on booking.
Catering
Our lodges are selfcatering properties with
fully equipped kitchens.
You are welcome to bring
your own cook with you,
or alternatively we can
recommend a cook given
appropriate notice.
Organic food
Atholl Glens Organic Meat
is a co-operative of Atholl
Estates’ farms and offers
organic beef and lamb by
mail order. Should you
wish to order meat for
your stay and have this
delivered, please discuss
this when booking. We can
also arrange for other local
suppliers to deliver organic
and local produce should
you request this.
Wine deliveries
Many of our guests would
like to order supplies of
wine and spirits by mail
order to be delivered to the
lodges. With prior notice
you can arrange for delivery
to the Estate Office for your
arrival and we will transfer
your wine to the lodge.

making your booking.
Deposit
A good house-keeping
deposit will be payable
prior to arrival, and this
will be returned to you
after your stay unless the
circumstances require a
deduction or withholding

Country sports
During the main sporting
season (September and
October) all of our lodges,
with the exception of
Convalloch and Marble
Lodge, are let to sporting
parties. Please contact us to
discuss sporting packages.

Explore Atholl Estates
run regular activities, talks and walks
throughout the year and guests are invited
to visit them at the Information Centre in
Blair Atholl village.
Stretching across 145,000 acres, Atholl
Estates is a spectacular natural environment
teeming with native wildlife including deer,
red squirrels, black grouse and golden
eagles. Guests are encouraged to get out
and explore the spectacular landscape on
foot or by bicycle.
A stay on Atholl Estates would not be
complete without a visit to Blair Castle
and Gardens and entry is complimentary
to all our historic lodge guests. The castle’s
historic interiors span seven fascinating
centuries of history and the 9 acre walled
Hercules Garden, complete with follies and
landscaped ponds is a particular delight.
There is a 40 mile network of waymarked
trails to suit every need, from gentle milelong Red Squirrel Trail. Alternatively, take
a Land Rover Safari with one of our expert
guides or go trekking on a traditional
Highland pony.

Located in Highland Perthshire, Atholl Estates sit at the foot of the Cairngorms, stretching across 145,000 acres from Dunkeld in the south to beyond
Blair Atholl in the north.
Centred around the village of Blair Atholl and Blair Castle, we are within two
hours’ drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen or Inverness via the main A9
road. There are train stations in Blair Atholl, Pitlochry and Dunkeld, with regular
connecting services from all the major Scottish cities. A daily express service to
and from London’s Kings Cross stops at Pitlochry Station, and the Caledonian
Sleeper to and from London Euston stops at Blair Atholl.
