wife before duping her into signing a “money­for­sex” agreement.

Katherine Nelson says the steamy affair began after the pair met at the
Manhattan Institute’s Alexander Hamilton Award Dinner at Cipriani in April
2010.
The Delphi Financial Group CEO later asked Nelson out for a date.

After the couple spent the night at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles six
months later, Rosenkranz stopped wearing his wedding ring, the suit says.
The “intimate loving relationship” lasted four years, according to the suit.
“[Rosenkranz] often expressed his unhappiness with his marriage and his need
for physical and emotional intimacy with [Nelson],” the suit says.

“[The couple] enjoyed an exclusive relationship and he referred to [Nelson’s]
apartment as his home. [Rosenkranz] also told [Nelson] she was
irreplaceable.”
While attending a meeting of Yale Trustees in March 2012, Rosenkranz
introduced Nelson as his wife, the suit says.

In May 2014, Rosenkranz showed Nelson a piece of paper that he said he
“needed to show his wife who was threatening him with a divorce,” the suit
says.
Rosenkranz, after asking Nelson to sign the document, told her she didn’t need
a lawyer because it was “just between them,” the suit says.
The document was in fact a confidentiality agreement stating in part that
Nelson would not “discuss her relationship with [Rosenkranz]“ in exchange for
$100,000.
Nelson signed it on the spot.
Not long after, she received an envelope containing a check and what she
thought was a belated birthday card.
“After closer inspection, [Nelson] was shocked that instead of referring to her
birthday, it referred to some sort of money­for­sex and silence ‘agreement,’”

the suit says.
Despite her apparent alarm, Nelson continued seeing Rosenkranz.
But the relationship fell apart after she spotted him with another woman at the
bar of BLT Steakhouse on Sept. 3, the suit says.
He pretended like he didn’t know her — prompting Nelson to break down
crying and a maître d to ask them to leave.
Outside, Rosenkranz, after being told Nelson was planning to write a book,
accused her of trying to hurt his family.
“In a moment of aberration, he reached for defendant’s throat,” the suit says.
Nelson claims the secret agreement violated her First Amendment rights. Her
lawyer, Howard Benjamin, didn’t return a request for comment.
Rosenkranz couldn’t be reached.

She should have read the fine print.
The ex-mistress of a top insurance executive says the multimillionaire duped her into signing away her legal rights.
So now she’s suing her former paramour, Robert Rosenkranz, claiming the April 2014 pact was a sham.
Miffed mistress Katherine Nelson says Rosenkranz, head of the $10 billion insurance holding company Delphi Financial Group,
rushed her to sign the one-page agreement claiming it was merely to appease his estranged wife.
Nelson asked Rosenkranz, whom she’d been dating for four years, “if she could show it to a lawyer,” she recounts in court papers.
The Yale grad, who sits on the board of the prestigious Manhattan Institute, told her “not to worry because it was only a ruse [he]
created to postpone his divorce; and…it would not affect their relationship,” according to the civil suit.
Nelson admits that she didn’t read the deal before signing it.
The “silence agreement” prevented Nelson from contacting Rosenkranz or his family, divulging information about their illicit affair
or bringing any legal claims against him in exchange for $100,000, according to a copy of the deal attached as an exhibit in court
papers.

sex and silence agreement,” the suit says.
After the two signed off on the statement Nelson “continued to enjoy an intimate loving relationship” with Rosenkranz—kissing
him “passionately” in Central Park, jetting off for a romantic getaway in Aspen, and having “intimate relations” at the banker’s
Madison Avenue office, the suit says.
Then, two months after the Aspen trip Nelson caught Ronsenkranz canoodling with a coworker at the BLT Steakhouse, according to
the Manhattan Supreme Court case.
In court papers Nelson says she confronted the married man “while tears ran down her face.”
Rosenkranz then got an order of protection against his ex-lover days later, after he “angrily accused her of trying to hurt his family”
and even “reached for her throat,” the suit says.
Nelson is suing for unspecified damages.
Rosenkranz, who owns homes in Aspen, Manhattan and East Hampton, did not return calls for comment.

A Manhattan woman who claims she had a years-long affair with married multi-millionaire Robert Rosenkranz confronted his wife
on social media with a handwritten note from their mutual love.
Katherine Nelson alleges that Rosenkranz, 72, CEO of the $10 billion Delphi Financial Group and a member of the Council on
Foreign Relations, duped her into signing a gag order in May regarding their four-year-long affair.
By August, Nelson was ready to kiss and tell — posting online a photo of cream-colored stationery stamped with Rosenkranz’s name
with a handwritten message: “For me, two is a remarkable number.”
She then tweeted the image to Rosenkranz’s stunning 57-year-old wife, Alexandra Munroe, with the words: “You must have
known.”
Munroe, a Guggenheim curator, must have gotten the message — four days later she replied to Nelson with a blank tweet.

The blonde, pillow-lipped Nelson claims in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed Friday that she and Rosenkranz, a Yaleeducated philanthropist on the board of the Manhattan Institute think tank, met at a 2010 awards dinner and launched their affair
with a steamy rendezvous at the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to court papers.
The two “exchanged several hundred e-mails over a period of approximately four years with topics ranging from a private sexual
nature to politics, literature and finance,” court papers said.
Nelson and Rosenkranz exchanged “romantic presents from Tiffany, Hermes and Paul Stuart,” and he even introduced her as his
wife at a meeting of Yale trustees, the filing alleges.

The relationship between the 72­year­old multimillionaire and his 31 years younger mistress came to
an end when Ms Nelson spotted him with another woman at BLT Steakhouse, he pretended not to
know her.
She broke down crying and was asked to leave by restaurant staff. The papers add that when Ms Nelson told him she was going to write a book, he reached for her
throat.
Mr Nelson, a well­known philantropist, married arts curator Ms Munroe at the Presbyterian Church in
Bridgehampton in 2002.
Their wedding announcement in the New York Times, notes that Mr Nelson's 'previous marriage
