Stately Rides A four day circular Cotswold Ride 1 The Cotswolds is an area of gentle hillsides, sleepy villages and famous market towns. With both buildings and dry stone walls constructed of the same honey coloured local limestone the area has a uniformity of architecture that makes the Cotswolds a favourite location for visitors from all over the world. This ride begins near the historic and picturesque town of Stow-on-the Wold where you will spend the first night and have dinner with Christopher and Annie Cox in their lovely Cotswold house. 2 Day 1 The first day takes you through traditional North Cotswold Hunt country passing Hinchwick Manor and on up through Happy Valley. You will ride through ancient beech woods, rolling green fields and valleys. This is exceptionally beautiful countyside. Your lunch stop will either be a romantic picnic in a wood or the pub at Snowshill. After lunch you will ride northwards through the hamlet of Buckland and past the classic Cotswold village of Broadway to Manor Farm, Childswickham where you will be the guests of Marion and Christopher Houghton. Marion and Christoper will entertain you for the evening and Marion will cook a delicious dinner. 3 The hallway at Manor Farm 4 Day 2 After breakfast you will ride through the Stanway estate.
