In the spotlight
Hard Rock Rocksino
Northfield, OH
As Hard Rock’s 2012 Project Development Partner of the Year,
SOSH Architects was the clear choice to design the entertainment
company’s first gaming property to be branded a “Rocksino.”
The 155,000 square foot standalone facility was built adjacent to
Northfield Park’s grandstand to vastly expand guests’ entertainment
options. Venues within the all-new Rocksino include a gaming floor
boasting 2,300 slot machines, a 2,000-seat music hall, a buffet,
steakhouse, and bistro. To establish and convey Hard Rock’s
Rocksino image, SOSH incorporated timeless yet contemporary
design elements for a Hard Rock Cafe and casino center bar,
a high limit slot room, and multiple outdoor gaming rooms and
smoking areas. The project stands as one of the region’s most
highly anticipated entertainment venues.

In the spotlight
Scores at Trump Taj Mahal
Atlantic City, NJ
In an Atlantic City first, Scores—New York’s biggest name
in adult entertainment—chose one of the city’s celebrated
casinos for its newest location. Within a tight timeframe, SOSH
completely transformed three existing spaces into a one-of-a-kind
entertainment complex showcasing seven tantalizing venues.
Highlights include futuristic lighting and backlit graffiti mirrors
in the main showroom. An upscale outdoor deck designed to
take full advantage of beach and boardwalk views. A VIP room
with unique bottle displays and LED touchscreen monitors. And a
space inspired by Amsterdam’s red light district featuring private
viewing pods. With this project, Scores and SOSH have written a
new chapter in Atlantic City’s history.
