Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad (MCE) was founded in year 1990 to
manufacture and supply car alarm systems, central locking and power window regulators.
A specialist in
MCE achieved a remarkable milestone in 1997 where the Company was successfully
listed in the Stock Exchange of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (formerly known as
Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange).

The progressive growth of the automotive industry locally and regionally has contributed
positively to the growth of MCE. With consistent business expansion that synergised
with development of new product range to meet market needs and trends, MCE has
grown to become a leading Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specialising in
the full spectrum of design, manufacture and supply of automotive electronics and
mechatronics parts for the Malaysian and regional markets.
Apart from the OEM segment, the trend of globalisation has also inspired MCE to provide
and supply to international procurement houses and buyers for their custom designed
products to meet specified requirements, particularly for the pre-delivery installation
and aftermarket (REM) segments.
Today, MCE has two operational facilities with over 600 full-time employees, including
more than 50 professional engineers.
The main facility located in Johor Bahru, Johor serving as its core manufacturing hub
fully equipped with the latest design and testing facilities as well as doubling as its
headquarters and the other in Port Klang, Selangor with its extended manufacturing and
warehousing facilities, business development, marketing and customer support office
providing extensive warehouse and logistics services directly to its customers.
Both operational facilities logistically well located enable MCE to stay connected with
domestic customers as well as supporting overseas business and export activities via
the major air and sea ports in Malaysia.

Overview
MCE has established its first R & D centre since its inception. As MCE is expanding its operations and
to provide speedier and better response to customers’ enquiries and support, a secondary R & D centre
was established at Port Klang, Selangor since 2011.
MCE recruits only the best engineers for its R & D centre. They are not only good in their respective areas
of discipline but also creative, versatile, energetic and enthusiastic on their projects. These engineers
are receptive and willing to devote their time for learning new technological know-how and knowledge.
MCE is proud to have these knowledgeable engineers working to create and convert conceptual designs
to reality.
Design and Development Capability
MCE has experienced engineers equipped with wide range of knowledge for different product designs
and development capabilities. Mechanical design softwares such as Catia, Solidworks, Kinetic Simulation,
and Finite Element Analyses are used in performing structural and fatigue analysis. On the other hand,
circuit design softwares such as PCB CAD and PADS are used for schematic layouts and PCB designing.
Besides existing softwares, MCE’s R & D engineers are capable in customising software to ensure the
products follow the targeted functionalities according to clients’ needs. These custom-made softwares
can be updated from time to time for the current projects should the need arises.
MCE has acquired the capability to design and manufacture CAN / LIN Bus compatible automotive
electronics components. A LIN Bus parking sensor systems was successfully developed, manufactured
and supplied in year 2012 to a major car marque.
In order to stay ahead and keep abreast with global trends, MCE conducts numerous courses internally
and externally. Staffs are trained regularly to continuously keep abreast with technical know-how and
technological advances.

The R&D team always benchmarks its design with the leading products in the market. By doing so, MCE
can study and analyse its products’ strengths and weaknesses for implementation and adaptation to its
design and development.
TESTING CAPABILITY
MCE is committed to compliance with international automotive standards. Stringent tests are carried out at various
stages of product development for validation to ensure highest quality standard products being developed and
delivered to customers. Each product is tested to the maximum specifications based on customers’ requirements.
Performance tests for electrical, mechanical, environmental and functional durability are done by well experienced
engineers with the wide range of in-house testing facilities.
