Dear Parents and Students !
A Year has gone by and we find it hard to believe that in another two days our students will graduate to the next class!
Looking back at this academic year, it was full of learning and some great memories. We have shared wonderful moments. Be it in academics or co-curricular activities, Middle School Students have always strived to be the best and
come through with flying colours. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who supported us wholeheatedly in all our endeavours. Your support has played a very crucial role in our student’s growth. The long summer
break is about to start and for grades 6 and 7 we have books to read and book reports to write and an IDU to complete. Grade 8 needs to gear up for IGCSE and read the recommended list of books. So dive into the world of books and
come back with enriched learning experiences and a rested holiday !

NSD Workshop
Pagri and Dhoti tying Workshop
Everyone loves to play dress-up! On May 10th the students
of Grades 6 and 7 had a unique opportunity to learn some
new ways of dressing up. But these ‘new’ ways are actually
the age old traditional way that people in the Indian subcontinent have dressed using simple pieces of unstitched
cloth.
Mr. Ajit Singh Palawat, a graduate of National School of
Drama and a member of the National NSD Repertory
Company held a two hour workshop on how to tie Pagri
and Dhoti with the Drama students. Hailing from Rajasthan
Ajit sir is familiar with the variety of ways in which the all
important Pagri is tied all over the country. The styles vary
according to who you are, where you come from and even
what the occasion may be. Within minutes the children
were fashioning their own styles with colourful lengths of
pagri fabric. There after the students learned how to tie a
simple dhoti and transform themselves into all sorts of
exciting characters.
Farewell To Grade 8
As the senior most form of the middle school approached
the year end and got prepared for stepping into the senior
school, the Grade 7 students rolled up their sleeves to bid
farewell to their buddies. A secret mission was started a
month back where the students planned a series of events
for the eighth graders. They planned an assembly all by
themselves and prepared a little package of fun filled surprises. ‘Catching them unaware’ and capturing their expressions with their cameras, they recorded some exciting
and memorable moments.
An hour long assembly was held on Friday, 4th May ’12
which started with an interesting show ’Coffee with
Karan’. Grade 8 students were invited in pairs and were
asked questions about each other-some hilarious, some
interesting and some ‘just for fun’. This was followed by
dance performances by a few eighth graders. Each of the
students received an award with a title which the students
of grade 7 made in the DT lab. A video was played with
several pictures of eighth graders which I am sure they
will treasure as memories of middle school. The farewell
had a perfectly sweet ending with cupcakes prepared by
the students. The eighth graders thanked their juniors
for a great show.
