The Versatile Walker
When we first designed the Walker Mower, the goal was to build the best possible
lawn mower. But as the design progressed, it was apparent the compact, highly
maneuverable tractor could do other jobs with other attachments. Walker owners tell
us the versatility of the Walker tractor is one of the features they like best.
Walker owners also like to select options and accessories to
make the Walker best fit their application. The full line of
options shown in this catalog has been developed to help
you do just that.
One of our primary goals in developing attachments
and options for the Walker is to avoid obsolescence of
earlier units. A high percentage of the items shown in this
catalog will fit earlier units. On a side note, many of the
improvements on the newest Walkers may be upgraded on earlier units. Ask your
Walker dealer about upgrade kits.
Take a long, slow look through this catalog. There are many ways to make your
Walker do more, work better on your job, and fit the individual owner. To find a
Walker dealer near you, call 1-800-279-8537 or visit www.walkermowers.com.
Sincerely,
Bob Walker, President

STORY
THE
THE
Quick-Change Implement Hitch System
Implement
HITCH
Five implements mount interchangeably on the Walker tractor using the
quick-change hitch system. The hitch assembly replaces the mower deck
and installs on the tractor in less than a minute. Implements then slide onto
the hitch and lock in place with the flip of a lever for true “quick change”
capability. The hitch assembly also includes operator footrests and an electric
power lift-just the touch of a switch raises and lowers implements. The lift
control switch is quadrant mounted on the Forward Speed Control lever for
convenient operation. Item IH6620

implements. See Tail Weight options.
Tail Weight Counterbalance
Tail weight counterbalance is required to lift front-mounted implements
(all implements using quick-change hitch and the SB36A). Also improves
handling when using large decks on SD models. The cast-iron weight
bolts directly to the chassis frame and does not interfere with dumping
the grass catcher or raising the tractor body.

surfaces and for lawn dethatching and raking. In addition
to dethatching turf, the broom does a great job of sweeping
and removing gravel and debris from turf areas along roads,
paths and playing fields.
Down pressure is spring weighted and is adjustable for best
sweeping action and minimum brush wear. Includes parking

Operator Soft-Cab
The Soft-Cab is designed to shield the operator from winter weather
when using the 42” Two-Stage Snow Blower (SB6670), 47” Rotary Broom
(RB6650) and 46” Dozer Blade (DB6660). The cab features a hinged door
for operator entry, glass windshield, electric windshield wiper and headlights.
A removable canvas flap attaches to the rear of the cab and covers the
open area between the operator seat and top of the catcher box or dump
box. Cab design allows the tractor body to be raised for maintenance. Item

Front Cab Extension Flap
When using the 46” Dozer Blade (DB6660) with
the Operator Soft Cab (SC5661 or SC8660), an
optional extension flap protects the operator’s legs
from the elements. The flap is not recommended
for use with the implements using a drive shaft–42”

Dump Bag
Grass
HANDLING
Reusable, fabric bag fits over the back door
opening of the 6.7, 7.0 and 9.5 bushel grass
catcher and allows clippings to dump directly
into the bag. Reinforced, sewn-on handles make
it easy to lift and move the bag and dump into
a disposal container. The woven polypropylene
material is lightweight and strong, easy to handle
and durable. Folds to a compact size when not in
use. P/N 5598 (9.5), 5598-1 (6.7/7.0)
Removable Dump Boxes
Two molded polyethylene boxes split the weight of the 9.5 bushel
catcher when dumping. Operators working by themselves will find
this method of handling clippings easier, especially when lifting
and dumping wet grass into another container. Item 8510-2
6.7 or 7.0 Bushel Catcher Assemblies

GHS “No-Catch” Deflector
Allows GHS Models to easily convert from grass collection to “no

the door opening of the grass catcher and offers spreading action of
clippings comparable to rear discharge and convertible deck designs
used on other mowers. In some applications, it eliminates the need
to switch to a side discharge mower deck (side discharge still offers
the best spreading action in heavy cutting and is better suited to
mowing rougher areas).

Toggle switch on Forward Speed Control actuates locking

working on slopes. The handling, traction and stability of the
mower are significantly increased by eliminating tail wheel pivot
on a side slope. Also, the tail wheel lock assists in making a
straight stripe mowing pattern on large areas-only small steering
lever corrections are needed to make a nice straight stripe. the
lock is easily engaged and disengaged with the toggle switch

applications cutting high in soft
grass where the dual tire track is
objectionable. P/N 8049
Spread tail wheels to track behind
drive tires and offer a smoother
ride. P/N 4420-3 (MB), 7420-3
(MD/MT), 7420-8 (add’l parts for
MD), 7420-20 (wheel assembly)
Application Note
• Single Wide Tire slightly
increases turning resistance
Application Note
• Reduces maneuverability
in tight spaces due to tail
wheel swinging out
Strut Kit
Quick-Change Sulky
The convertible Sulky attaches to the Model MW walkbehind and allows the operator to switch from walking or
riding in a few easy steps with no tools. The spread axle
with dual caster wheels is positioned comfortably behind
the mower chassis for walking operation and extends to the
riding position using one wing nut. The operator footrest
retracts when not in use and drops down providing a nice,
stable ride when in the riding position. Item SA9500
Installs a solid connection between
the tractor and deck; handles more
like a conventional walk-behind and
improves traction on slopes. The
tail wheel is removed and replaced
with a kickstand in order to retain
the deck tilt-up function. P/N 9360
