THE MISSION OF HOLY ROSARY PARISH
FRENSTAT TEXAS — THE JEWEL IN THE WOODS
A PARISH OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
IN THE DIOCESE OF AUSTIN
THE PEOPLE OF HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH PROCLAIM THAT OUR MISSION IS TO BECOME A WELCOMING FAMILY. AS WE ARE UNITED WITH GOD, SO WE BECOME ONE
WITH EACH OTHER. OUR ANCESTORS PASSED ON THE CATHOLIC FAITH AND MORALS TO THEIR FAMILIES AND NOW IT IS
OUR TURN.

WE RESPOND TO ONE ANOTHER IN THE SPIRIT OF NURTURING, HEALING AND CARING.

WE ARE A SMALL BUT GIVING COMMUNITY, DEDICATED TO
THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE FAMILY, THE PARISH AND
THE COMMUNITY.

WE FIND OUR STRENGTH, WISDOM AND DIRECTION
THROUGH CHRIST. WE ARE STRONGLY COMMITTED TO
THE CATHOLIC EDUCATION OF ANYONE WHO SEEKS
GODS TRUTH.

WE ENVISION THIS PARISH COMMUNITY AS A BRIGHT
LIGHT FOR THE FUTURE TO CARRY ON THE MISSION OF
CHRIST. NOT ONLY FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THIS COMMUNITY, BUT ALSO FOR THE MANY PEOPLE WHO VISIT.

Special Collection - Peter’s Pence June 26th
Next Sunday, June 26th, our diocese will take up
the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides Pope
Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his
charitable works around the world. The proceeds
benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of
society, including victims of war, oppression, and
disasters. Join our Holy Father as a witness of
charity to those who are suffering.

GOSPEL MEDITATIONS
Often we may just want to fit in and blend with the
crowd. Are we recognizable Christian witnesses? Do
others encounter Christ through us by our example and
words? Are we clothed with Christ doing God’s will or
do we follow our own desires when the path is difficult?

Bishop Vasquez’s Statement on Orlando
Bishop Joe S. Vasquez released the following statement
on Monday, June 13 in response to Sunday’s mass shooting in Orlando.
Hate in all of its manifestations is a violation of God’s
commandment, do not kill.
The tragic violence in Orlando Sunday morning was
steeped in hate. We pray for the grieving family and
friends of this massacre. I ask all in the Diocese of Austin
to pray daily that hatred and anger will be removed from
the hearts of everyone. Let us speak out against those
who disrespect or abuse others because of their race, gender, social class, or sexual orientation. If we fail to manifest the love of Christ in these situations, who will? Every person is a child of God and is loved by God. Jesus
revealed the depth of this on the Cross. Let us never fail
to recognize Christ’s presence in any person who is insulted, ridiculed, abused, or injured by others.
