father Richard Green was recognized at the
meeting along with administrators and educators from Brinkley Middle School.

Education, and the American Banking College. Having accepted Christ at an early age, he began serving in ministry at the
age of 19. He served as a Youth Deacon, a Sunday School teacher, an usher, a
youth choir member, a missionary for the Jackson District Association, and the

BOARD APPROVES IGNITE PILOT ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
Board of Trustees approved a Demonstration Agreement and Terms of Service

the Jackson Public School District to pilot the use of Xerox Ignite software at
North Jackson Elementary School.
Ignite is a web-based, teacher tool for printing, scanning and scoring a variety of
assessments. The software provides frequent and specific feedback on what students are learning. Ignite’s teacher tools also suggest ways to address each student’s needs. The system saves valuable time spent administering and grading
assessments, so teachers can be more efficient and spend more time personalizing
their instruction for every student. Xerox will provide all the necessary software
and hardware to utilize in all 3rd and 5th grade classrooms at North Jackson Elementary School. The terms of this Agreement shall commence on February 18,
2015, and terminate on June 30, 2015.
WATCH MEETINGS ON JPS ITV: Channel 19 Program Schedule Feedback from the school’s principal and teachers will be given at the conclusion
of the demonstration period. The Xerox Ignite program will be a pilot with no
cost to the District.
