Sierra Camp is located in
San Diego
California’s Giant Sequoia
National Monument, between King’s
Canyon and Sequoia national parks. The Camp is halfway
between Los Angeles and San Francisco, approximately a
five-hour drive from each city. The Camp access road is 63
miles from Fresno via Highway 180. Fresno is served by daily
flights into the Fresno/Yosemite International Airport.

Just steps away from the Camp awaits a world of outdoor
adventure. Like to hike? Numerous day hikes traverse the
region’s meadows, canyons and mountainsides. Anglers can
cast a fly-fishing line in lakes and creeks, and inspiration
abounds for wildflower and photography enthusiasts. Make
this your home base for exploring the spectacular Sierra
backcountry – or simply relaxing with a good book and
afternoon siesta.

GUEST AMENITIES
Etruscan-inspired architecture and contemporary
furnishings provide comfortably elegant lodging – while
reflecting the rustic wilderness grandeur of the surrounding
Sierra National Forest. Nestled along terraced hillsides, 36
private tented cabins feature plush-top mattresses, triple
sheeted linens, feather pillows, down comforters, wool area
rugs, reading lanterns and wood shuttered windows opening
to majestic views. All cabins are within walking proximity of
the private restrooms, shower house and Dining Pavilion.
At Sequoia High Sierra Camp, you’ll enjoy the best aspects
of a nature retreat without sacrificing the comforts of home!
Our modern bathhouse facilities feature private showers and
restrooms, with personal toiletries and towels provided. Guest
cabins include daily housekeeping service and are furnished
with all bedding linens and blankets. You’ll only need to carry
in a lightweight daypack with clothing and personal essentials.
A Camp Retail Store stocks basic necessities, just in case.
DISTINCTIVE CUISINE
Three daily meals are included in the overnight rates, and
all go far beyond traditional camping fare. Incorporating
fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, the Camp’s healthy
California-style cuisine is prepared fresh daily by a
professional executive chef and served
by an attentive staff in the al fresco

GETTING THERE
There are two options to reach the Sequoia High Sierra Camp.
Option 1: Drive your own car to a trailhead for an easy, wellmarked 1-mile walk into Camp (this option is recommended).
Option 2: Hike a challenging 12-mile backcountry trail that
begins in neighboring Sequoia National Park. Our website offers
details, maps and directions for both drive-in and hiking access.
