REMOVE CARDS & BNC CONNECTORS
RED ROCKET Kit
1. Ensure the Magma chassis is turned off and all cables have been removed.
2. Open the Magma chassis.
If you are installing the RED ROCKET card for the first time, jump ahead to step 6.
Steps 3-5 are for existing RED ROCKET installations.

3. Disconnect the two BNC leads and power from the RED ROCKET card.
4. Remove the RED ROCKET card.

5. Remove the RED ROCKET HD-SDI Slot Filler.
6. Remove the BNC connectors from the RED ROCKET HD-SDI Slot Filler.
7. Disconnect the small cable from the rear of the Magma Thunderbolt
card, then remove the Magma Thunderbolt card.
SWAPPING BRACKETS
8. Remove the original mounting bracket from the Magma Thunderbolt card.
9. Attach the Custom bracket for Magma Thunderbolt 2 PCIe card.
INSTALLATION
10. Install and secure the Magma Thunderbolt card with the
new bracket attached back into the uplink slot.
11. Reconnect the small cable to the rear of the Magma Thunderbolt card.
12. Thread the HD-SDI cables through the holes in the newly installed
RED/Thunderbolt bracket from outside the chassis.
13. Slip the original nuts from the HD-SDI BNC connectors back onto the cables.
14. Tighten the nut onto the bracket.
THIS KIT CONTAINS FOLLOWING ITEMS:
• Custom Bracket for Magma Thunderbolt 2 PCIe Card
• Power adapter, 4-Pin to 6-Pin
• Quick Start Guide
15. Install and secure the RED ROCKET card in the slot immediately
adjacent to the Magma Thunderbolt Card.
If you are not installing a RED ROCKET-X card, jump ahead to step 18.
Step 16-17 applies only to RED ROCKET-X cards.
16. Connect the supplied auxiliary power cable adapter to
the auxiliary power provided from the chassis.
NEED MORE HELP?
17. Connect the other end of the auxiliary power cable
to the top of the Red Rocket card.

18. Connect the HD-SDI cables back to the RED ROCKET card.
19. Replace the lid, and reconnect the Magma chassis to the computer.
