Wheel Cover Improves
Fuel Economy and
SAVES YOU $$$
Designed by pilots who know aerodynamics, these light-weight
dimpled discs fit neatly on any 22-1/2” steel or aluminum rim in
minutes – including super-singles! Engineered to incorporate the
same technology adopted by golf ball manufactures to improve
aerodynamics and make the ball go further with less resistance.
A very simple O-ring and spring assembly allows our discs to
easily attach to any wheel system without special tools. Best of
all, independent studies have shown that when AeroTech Caps
are installed on the rear tractor and trailer wheels, average MPG
is improved by as much as 2.44%.* That may not sound like a lot,
but studies indicate that our aerodynamic wheel covers could save
the average truck driver $1,500 or more each year. If your company
has numerous trucks on the road, that could add up to huge
savings very fast.

During the research, development and testing process
for AeroTech Caps, independent testing was conducted
to identify the fuel savings that could be expected when
using our aerodynamic wheel covers on a semi truck and trailer
combination. Using a standard SAE type 2 fuel consumption
test protocol, the testing identified a 2.33% improvement in
fuel economy. For comparison, additional data was then analyzed from the ECM
on the same testing trucks, which showed a 2.44% savings. Conservatively, we
recommend using 2% savings for 8 caps on the tractor and trailer tandems for
calculating fuel savings estimates for your fleet.
