GARDEN ON RAVEN`S CLEARING IN ZAPLANA

A footpath providing an hour-long walk is suitable and interesting for visitors of all ages. Walking or cycling on the cycle routes of the Loga{ka transversal is suitable for more adventurous
visitors. The trail goes by the @ejna and Zelena valleys where rare plant species can be found
and all the way to the surrounding tourist farms that offer local cuisine and a marvellous view
of the neighbouring villages of Notranjska all year round.

The garden spreads across a surface of approximately 3000 m2, which is divided into several sections: a shady section, mosses, rock plants and a pond around which numerous plant
grow. Important genera of plants: Paeonia, Heuchera, Kniphofia, Hosta, Aster, Eryngium,
Geranium and Persicaria. Special features: Mukdenia, Mukdenia rossi, Clematis hirsutissima,
Mertensia ciliata, Ilex angustifolia, Pelargonium endlicherianum, Pelargonium quercitorum
and Callirhoe involucrata.
