GARDONE RIVIERA - A PLACE WITH HISTORY AND CHARM.
Since the end of the 19th Century Gardone has
been one of the most exclusive locations by
Lake Garda. Even today you will find neither
overcrowded beaches nor tent or camping sites in
this area. Instead, harmoniously comfortable grand
hotels and Art Nouveau buildings of the turn of
the century are strung together. The lake is freely
accessible only in a few places, since magnificent
private villas, endowed with ancient trees, lay claim
to most of the lakeside.
The little old centres are located, forming a
balanced whole, slightly raised on the slopes of
Lake Garda. As is a former noble holiday resort
of the Belle Époque, Gardone Riviera, it is still a
synonym for elegance and exclusivity in Italy. The
nostalgic mood of the 19th and 20th Centuries is
still felt in this location.
Gardone is known and popular for its mild and
constantly warm climate and the magnificent
vegetation: in addition to lemons, mighty cypresses,
palms, valuable conifers grow on the steep slopes
of the Gardone Riviera. The small but beautiful
district by the lake has a spacious promenade.
Gardone Sopra, the old centre, is located high
over the district by the lake with its flower-grown
balconies, small squares and stairway alleys. The
predominant building by the lake is the venerable
„Grand Hotel Gardone“ with a 300 metre terrace.
The beginnings of health tourism in Gardone
are due to excellent climatic conditions and an
almost heavenly silence in this area of Lake Garda.
Attributes which are still unreservedly true for
Gardone Riviera. In 1904 the impressive Hotel Savoy
Palace was built next to the Grand Hotel.

INTERNATIONAL STAR ARCHITECTURE
AS A GUARANTEE OF EXCLUSIVITY AND LUXURY.
PECULIARITY THROUGH OUTSTANDING
ARCHITECTURE
In the project „Villa Eden - Gardone“, several
distinguished architect are responsible for the
realisation of this resort: David Chipperfield,
Richard Meier and Matteo Thun give the project
a very special quality and exclusivity due to their
exquisite and internationally recognised work.
EXCLUSIVITY THROUGH UNIQUENESS
The architects have managed to comply with an
individual design of each of the luxury villas and to
meet the high standards of future owners. In the
representational project it is therefore not about a
uniform residential area, but a homogeneous overall project with unique luxury villas as unique works.
The project is gently embedded in the olive groves
which are typical for the region. The complex, which
is to be realised, consists of eight buildings and a
Clubhouse - all with magnificent views of Lake
Garda.
The Clubhouse with five design-apartments created
by the Milanese star archtect Matteo Thunin is in
the centre of the overall ensemble. A wellness
centre with spa, a beauty farm and a classy
restaurant with an air-conditioned wine cellar also
belong to the repertoire of this luxury Clubhouse.
A library with „cigar Room“ and a terrace with a
breathtaking panorama complete the splendour
and luxury of this complex.
LANDSCAPING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL
The high-quality landscape design, created by
the internationally known and renowned garden
designer Enzo Eneo, represents a further highlight
of the project: The entire property will be
transformed into a park-like natural paradise on
the slopes of Lake Garda with a little effort and
imagination.
„It was a great challenge for me to design a villa and hotel project in one of the most beautiful locations on Lake Garda.
The opportunity to work with the topography of an ancient olive grove together with the exceptional cooperation with
colleagues from across the globe makes this a project which is unique in Europe.“
(Matteo Thun)

ITALIAN FOOD & MORE.
FOOD, WINE & MORE
The thought of Italy awakens in us the longing for
sun, sea and relaxation. And hardly anything is more
closely associated with this wonderful idea as our
physical well-being.
We are sitting on a small, romantic terrace with
stunning views of Lake Garda, a light summer
breeze is blowing and the bright blue sky is above
us. The aroma of freshly made pasta, seasoned
with Mediterranean herbs, grated Parmesan and
the best olive oil, and served with a good glass of
wine makes the heart of every connoisseur beat
faster.
Italy is known worldwide and popular for its
traditional and varied cuisine. The versatility of
the dishes is due in part to the geographic and
climatic differences associated with the country.
Each region is therefore characterised by its special
culinary character and produces a variety of
specialties.
Italians love good food, and most of us cannot
resist homemade pasta, pizza, risotto or a sweet
pleasure such as Panna Cotta.
The region of Lake Garda benefits from the taste
of the mountains in the north, and the taste of the
lake and the plain in the south. While at the foot
of the mountains people like pasta served with
herbs, meat and cheese, lighter fare, such as freshly
caught fish, is prepared by the water. One thing
should never be absent: cold-pressed olive oil
from the region. Thanks to the Mediterranean
climate by the lake, olives are even grown here.
But even wine lovers get their money‘s worth at
Lake Garda. On the rolling hills exceptionally good
wine matures and makes the region a famous wine
growing area. Many wine festivals, which are held
in the picturesque villages of the region, offer the
opportunity to taste the best local wines such as,
for example, Bardolino, Lugana or Valpolicella in an
authentic atmosphere.
Italian cuisine means fresh local produce, delicious
meals and a good glass of wine. And yet there is
more - enjoying Italian is a way of life!
13
SPORTS & MORE.
In addition to a great Mediterranean flair, Lake
Garda also has outstanding wellness offers and
the opportunity to try out various attractive
types of sport.
The largest Italian lake offers sports enthusiasts
a top class paradise. Especially in the summer,
the holiday region by Lake Garda provides a huge
offer with guaranteed beautiful weather.
Firstly, the water sport opportunities should,
of course, be named: Swimmers, divers, surfers,
sailors, kite and wake boarders can pursue their
passion in one of the best water sports areas
in Europe. In particular, sailors and windsurfers
appreciate the wind resistance and rightly
describe the lake as a European „sailing and surfing
paradise.“ But anglers also enjoy a first-class
stock of pike, perch and carp.
There are numerous hiking trails and climbing
opportunities in all lengths and difficulty levels
around the lake for hikers and mountain climbers.
In the last ten years, the lake has also become a
centre of the road and mountain bikers. Hardly
any other holiday destination offers such
attractive routes such as those around the lake.
Whoever loves ball sports is pampered with
a multitude of tennis clubs. The top class golf
clubs situated at Lake Garda in a wonderful
Mediterranean atmosphere ought definitely to
be mentioned too.
Overall, Lake Garda is the largest contiguous sport
area in Europe and offers all sports fanatics an
indescribable offer in beautiful settings.
14
VERONA.
VERONA - A RARE BEAUTY
Verona, the city of Shakespeare‘s Romeo and Juliet
is located in the picturesque northern Italian region
of Veneto, just 30 km from Lake Garda. Many know
Verona as „The Gateway to the South.“ On the one
hand, Verona separates the northern mountains
from the Mediterranean; on the other hand, coming
from the north we meet the pleasant, Italian way
of life and the typical Mediterranean atmosphere
for the first time.
Verona has a two thousand year history and
presents itself today full of life and activity.
Numerous well-preserved historical monuments
make a journey into the past possible. In particular,
the old town of Verona impresses by its significant
historic buildings and monuments, and was
therefore appointed in 2000 by UNESCO as a
world cultural heritage.
Especially the Arena of Verona - an amphitheatre,
which was probably already built in the 1st Century
AD by the Romans - has a worldwide reputation
and is the scene of the famous opera festival
every summer. The Arena offers space for 22,000
spectators.
The house of Juliet with arguably the most famous
balcony in history is a must for romantics. Although
Shakespeare‘s tragedy about the lovers Romeo and
Juliet probably has no historical models and the
balcony did not exist in reality, countless lovers still
flocked to Verona just to visit these. Hence, the
balcony of Juliet was allegedly built by the Veronese
as a tourist attraction.
The town on the banks of the Adige succeeds in
connecting its impressive history with modern
ambience like no other, offering an extensive offer
of events, concerts, performances and festivals.
A walk through the romantic old town with its
charming narrow streets and hidden courtyards
offers a worthwhile alternative. There you will find
not only excellent restaurants and cafes, but also
exquisite and trendy shopping facilities which do
the fashion-conscious Verona credit!

MILAN.
MILAN - FASHION & LIFESTYLE
Milan is the second largest city in Italy and is
located some 120 km from Lake Garda. In the
areas of fashion & design Milan is among the most
coveted addresses worldwide and enjoys the
reputation of a trendy fashion Mecca. But even
in the national economic and trade sector, the
city presents itself as the most important Italian
location.
During the Milan fashion weeks, the entire fashion
elite turns towards the metropolis of Milan.
Famous designers, the most beautiful models
in the world and many invited celebrities bring
unique glamour to the city. But even outside
the Fashion Week, the everyday life of many
residents takes place in the fashion world. Milan
- the shopping paradise offers absolutely every
opportunity to indulge in the desire to buy, such
as on one of the most exclusive and expensive
shopping streets in Europe, Via Monte Napoleone.
But the northern Italian city has so much more to
offer. Art and culture lovers also get their money‘s
worth.
Milan Cathedral, built in Gothic style, represents
an architectural masterpiece that should definitely
be visited. One of the best known works of art
in the world is in the church of Santa Maria delle
Grazie: „The Last Supper“ by Leonardo da Vinci.
A visit to La Scala, one of the most renowned
opera houses in the world is a dream of many
opera fans. The building, which looks rather plain
from the outside, has space inside for about 2200
people. But whoever is planning an exhilarating
night at the Scala should take care of tickets early,
because the spectacular performances are always
well attended.
In addition to numerous galleries, museums
and palaces Milan can come up with a colourful
variety of bars and restaurants where the „dolce
vita“ comes to life. Even the vibrant nightlife and
cultural scene fascinates the young enthusiastic
people night after night. Milan is home to a large
number of universities and that is why there are
also many students in the discos and clubs.
On the waves twinkle a thousand floating stars;
Soft mists envelop the distant heights;
The morning wind fills the shadowy bay,
And the lake reflects the ripening fruit.
J. W. Goethe
