NOYES OTDR
NOYES M200 Handheld OTDR
The Noyes M200 from AFL Telecommunications offers unmatched OTDR capabilities in a handheld package
weighing less than 1 kg (2 lb). Multimode, Singlemode, and ‘Quad’ wavelength models are offered. With short
dead zone and intermediate range specifications, the M200 is ideal for Tier 2 testing of premises (building and
campus) networks or certification and troubleshooting of FTTx PON networks. Its bright display makes it suitable
for both indoor and outdoor operation. The M200 is based on a new hardware/software platform that supports
automatic and manual setup, precision event analysis, dual-wavelength testing, fiber identification using Noyes
‘TR’ test receivers, rich file naming and folder setup, 6 hour battery life, internal and removable media data storage, and USB connectivity. Test ports are equipped with tool-free adapters, which can be changed in seconds. A
custom-designed polycarbonate case and shock-absorbing boot make the M200 our most rugged OTDR ever.
Results are saved as industry standard .SOR files, which can be viewed, printed, and analyzed on a PC using freeware available to you and your customers. Unit firmware, user settings, and test results are saved in non-volatile
memory. Thus the M200 may be stored with battery removed for an extended period of time and still be up and
running in seconds when needed.

This dispersion measurement system is a dedicated module that combined with the CMA
5000 mainframe, will provide installers, network providers and network designers with an
advanced Chromatic Dispersion measurement instrument. The CMA 5000 Chromatic Dispersion measurement system is based upon the industry accepted phase shift method that can
evaluate chromatic dispersion of individual fiber links or entire networks consisting of multiple
EDFAs. Utilizing a single fiber for the test, as well as a tunable laser, results in a reduction in
the testing time and an increase in the accuracy of the measurement. From the carrying case

Delivering the industry’s highest performance OTDR
The MTS-5100 OTDR module is the fastest and most accurate OTDR to-date. It offers a dynamic range of up to 44 dB at 1550 nm and boasts a 0.1 second
sweep time. As part of the MTS-5100, the OTDR module has a test capability of more than 200 km and can measure up to 128,000 separate data points
with 4 cm sampling resolution. The product’s short deadzone enables the user to differentiate events down to 1 meter.
Optimized functions for in-depth analysis/operation
The OTDR’s bidirectional analysis capability enables true splice loss measurement with both end traces. Its multiple trace management feature greatly assists
the process of proactively managing fiber problems and helps compare different current and stored measurements for in-depth analysis. A powerful macro
