Narnia Portrait Opportunity
e
ou may have noticed the beautiful portraits in the hallways of Cair
Paravel Latin School featuring CPLS students dressed as characters
from The Chronicles of Narnia. Soon, there will be a third portrait
hanging in the halls and it could include your child!
Y
During the live auction tonight, one student’s name will be drawn to appear as a
character in the photo: Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy.
For a suggested donation of $15, you will receive an entry for the character of
your choice ($25 for two entries) and multiple entries can be purchased. There
are guidelines for each character so be sure to submit entries for the appropriate
grade level and gender of your child.
The portrait will be taken sometime during the 2014-2015 school year and hair,
makeup, costumes and props will be provided. Photography has been donated by
CPLS parent and professional photographer, Sarah Long of Joyful Photography.
Sarah will also donate the large group photo to the school. In additional, each
character will be photographed individually (in Narnia costume) and an 8x10”
portrait will be given to each winner.

CPLS Parent, Brett Martin, will share his
culinary talents by making and serving a
traditional Roman feast with a contemporary
twist for your next dinner party. The menu
offers three courses: the gustatio, which will
include a variety of Mediterranean vegetables,
olives and cheese; the mensa, which features
delicious slow roasted meats and vegetables; and finally, the secunda
mensa, which includes cakes sweetened with honey and exotic fruits.

1. You will receive a paddle at registration
showing your bid number. Use this
number for all bidding. Your paddle
number is registered in your name. If
you are married, you and your spouse
will use the same number. Please do
not let anyone else use your paddle.
2. All sales are final at the end of bidding.
Items are sold “as-is” with no implied
or expressed guarantees or warranties
by CPLS. Items purchased are nonrefundable and non-exchangeable.
Gift certificates are not redeemable for
cash and do not include sales tax or
gratuities.
3. Please post your bid on the bid sheet
located in front of the item. Bid
increments are set at $5.00 so please
increase bids accordingly. At the
request of donors and discretion of
Auction Committee, minimum bids
have been set for each item. Items will
be awarded to the highest valid bid on
the form.
4. We encourage you to visit the items
you are bidding on frequently as
bidding prices will change throughout
the evening.
5. Please see the Evening’s Schedule to
view the closing times for each table.
No bids will be posted during the final
60 seconds of bidding. Winners will
be posted approximately 10 minutes
after closing and will be displayed for
bidders to view.

A team of hard-working 7th grade students, led by Mr. Higgins, will come to your home for three hours on
a Saturday or Sunday afternoon to get your yard ready for winter. They will mow, rake and bag leaves, pick
up sticks, clear dead annual plants from your landscape, sweep out your garage, put away your seasonal
planters, drain and roll up your garden hoses etc. You provide the “to do” list and Mr. Higgins will get it

Eighth Grade- Mr. Barron- Artistic Concrete Benches
Four poured concrete surfaces each measuring 34 x 17-1/2 x 2”. Each top comes with a sturdy cedar frame
