Dossier for validation of advanced studies (V.E.S) to enrol at undergraduate level
(Y1, Y2 or Y3) should be submitted in early July to the appropriate U.F.R.
STUDENT SERVICES
International Relations Department (SRI)
The SRI works with teachers to organise university foreign exchanges. It supports
students in compiling dossiers, scholarship applications and international conventions
(ERASMUS, CREPUQ, etc.). It also coordinates the reception of foreign students and
offers French courses (via the CIEF).

Information and university orientation service (SIOU)
Information and university orientation service (SIOU)
The SIOU welcomes students to provide them with information, advise them on their
academic path, and help them find their way in the university programmes throughout
their studies. Every student can receive individualised help to develop his or her
personal and professional plans.
Virtual office and modern technology
A virtual office is accessible by all enrolled students and gives simple and enjoyable
access to a range of online services: personalised updates, academic dossiers,
schedules, exam calendars and results, online courses, university library portal,
message system, etc. The U.R.C.A. also offers WiFi access at all of its locations
and provides free software and computer rooms.
University library (BU)
The BU offers access to a collection of works, periodicals, reviews, audiovisual and
electronic documents with long opening hours. Computer rooms are available on all
campuses. It also offers an online question and answer service and assistance in
documentary research.
University department of preventive medicine and promotion
of health (SUMPPS)
The SUMPPS allows students to receive nursing care and ask for advice on medical
matters, nutrition, vaccinations and psychological support. First-time students enrolled
in the 1st year undergo a medical visit.
Social service
Social aides offer students assistance in the event of a problem (housing, finances,
health, etc.).
University department of physical and athletic activities (SUAPS)
The SUAPS allows students to discover new athletic and artistic physical activities,
pursue an athletic activity and participate in competitions. It also offers crossdepartmental teaching units that can be integrated into a student’s academic
programme.
University department of cultural affairs (SUAC)
The SUAC sets up campus programming (concerts, expos, conferences, etc.),
offers courses in UET as well as amateur practice workshops (theatre, dance,
music, etc.) and provides support in students’ cultural and artistic projects.
Student Life Office (BVE)
The BVE is an interface between students and the University administration. It advises
student associations in their projects and manages the Solidarity and Development
of Student Initiatives Fund (FSDIE). During their time at the university, it provides the
material or human resources necessary for disabled students.
Regional centre for university and academic works (CROUS)
The CROUS handles requests for housing and scholarships, offers food services in
university cafeterias, student support via the social service (along with that of the
university), support for projects (Culture Actions) and an employment service.
