Join us for this quick 2D/1N Free-n-Easy trip to the historic town of Malacca
(Melaka) in nearby Malaysia. Here you’ll discover the rich cultural traditions
of the Straits people. The region is famous for its colorful heritage of
Arabic, Dutch, Portuguese, and Chinese influences. We’ll visit the Nyonya
and Baba Peranakan Heritage Museum, the Dutch-built Stadthuys Museum,
and some Chinese temples. We’ll also indulge in local delicacies along the
famous Jonker Street. Everything is within short walking distance from
the Casa del Rio Hotel along the idyllic Malacca River. Space is limited so

ITINERARY:
Tuesday, November 6 (Lunch included)
7:30 am: Board bus at designated location in Singapore – TBA. After border clearance, your local guide
will meet you. Lunch at a Nyonya restaurant, followed by a visit to Baba Charlie to see how traditional
Peranakan sweets are made. If time permits, we will make a brief stop at Malacca Woodworks furniture
store before checking into the Casa Del Rio Hotel. 4 pm Melaka River cruise and tour of Jonker Street.
Afterwards, you are free to explore shops or take a leisurely stroll around town. Dinner on your own – we
recommend trying the various small cafes along Jonker Street and the riverside.
Wednesday, November 7 (Breakfast included)
After breakfast, checkout and meet in hotel lobby at 8:30 am. Today we embark on a city tour of St. Paul
Hills, The Stadhuys, Sampoh Temple and Well, Cheng Hoon Temple, Baba and Nyonya Heritage Museum.
On the way back, we will stop at the Palawan Shopping Centre where you can pick up some last minute
souvenirs and have lunch on your own. 6 pm Estimated arrival time in Singapore.
