Huaxia Chinese School of Connecticut is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization
registered with the State of Connecticut. It is affiliated with Huaxia Chinese School, one of
the biggest Chinese language schools in US with over 7000 students in the Northeast
region. The Connecticut branch offers Chinese classes from Kindergarten to Grade 8, and
different levels of Chinese as Second Language (CSL) courses for youth and adults. Lower
grades curriculum focuses on Chinese language basics (PinYin and simple vocabulary);
Higher grades focus on comprehensive Chinese speaking, reading and writing, as well as
helping students prepare for Chinese SAT and AP tests. Adult class teaches practical
conversational Chinese. The school also offers cultural classes such as Chinese Dance, Arts
& Crafts, Martial Arts, Chess and Drawing. Classes meet on Saturdays 9:30am – 12:30pm
at the Westside campus of WCSU (Mill Plain road, Danbury).
