Selected as this is a beautiful little site occupying a
unique position on the confluence of the Dordogne and
Vézère rivers opposite the medieval hillside village of
Limeuil. A short walk over the river takes you to bars
and restaurants in the village. There is a peaceful
relaxed ambiance. The pitches are laid out in spacious
wooded alleys that slope down to the river where there
is a generous beach area for launching boats and
swimming. The site has its own canoes – you are taken
upriver to paddle back down to the site at your own
pace, a trip that is highly recommended. A great site for
a riverside holiday!

A pretty pool complex near the site entrance, water not heated,
reasonable size for swimming, about 100m² and floodlit.
Paddling pool 80m² with mini-slide. Sun terrace with sun
loungers.

Sanitary Facilities
Two toilet blocks with separate men's and ladies. The one
opposite the entrance is the better of the two as it is more
spacious. The showers are temperature controlled with pull-on
lever, shelf and hook. Individual wash basins. Toilets with toilet
paper. There may be queues at peak times in high season
when showers tend to be tepid. Both kept clean and
respectable. Disabled facilities. Baby room. Separate laundry.
Chemical waste point. Launderette with washing machines and
tumble dryer.
Services
Reasonably well-stocked shop next to spacious new reception
area. Pretty bar/snack serving good basic meals and
take-aways, open from last week of May. Fridge hire.
Barbecues allowed. Dogs accepted. Wi-Fi in bar area.

Tour Operators
One British and one Dutch company on 22 pitches
From Périgueux. Take the N89 towards Brive, after12km, turn
right at the roundabout on to the D710 to Le Bugue. Continue
through the village to Le Buisson. After 6.5km take the first
turning to the right in the direction of Limeuil on the D51. At
the first junction turn left to cross over the Dordogne and the
site is on your right hand side.From Bergerac. Take the D660
to Lalinde, where you cross over the river Dordogne, and
continue on the D29 to Le Buisson. Take the D51 north in the
direction of Le Bugue and turn left after 3km. Stay on the D51
and then continue as above.
Excursions / Places to Visit
Limeuil 500m, Le Bugue, Les Eyzies, Beynac, Sarlat and
numerous grottos including Le Grand Roc, Combarelles and le
Fond de Gaume.
