Turn the
Tide
Am I waiting for the “right” time to become a good steward? Do I plan to share my time and talents “later?”
Today’s gospel warns those who are procrastinating about stewardship to be prepared – “at an hour do
you not expect, the Son of Man will come.”

Divine Mercy Devotion
Our Lord said, “I desire trust from my creatures. Encourage
souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy. Let the
weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it
had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all
would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of My
mercy.” Jesus said further, “I am more generous toward
sinners than toward the just. It was for their sake that I
came down from heaven; it was for their sake that my blood
spilled. Let them not fear to approach Me, they are most in
need of My mercy.”
Prayer: Jesus I trust in You.
Divine Mercy Prayer Ministry at All Saints: If you or your loved one are ill and
would like to be included in the prayer intentions of the Divine Mercy Prayer
Ministry, please e-mail [email protected]. Additionally, if you would
prefer, we can coordinate a time for two of our members to come pray the
Chaplet of Divine Mercy with you and your loved one.

• Making a sincere effort to participate in some of our parish ministries.
• Making a sincere effort to tithe (5% to parish and 1% to the Archbishop’s Annual
Appeal
• Parish envelopes are provided for your convenience. Your use of them verifies
your presence at the Sunday Liturgies & your financial support.
• All envelopes are recorded & provide the pastor with the founded hope that you
are an active member of the church.
• Catholic Schools: We get many applications for Catholic Schools from people
who state they are active members of All Saints. The pastor is asked to honestly
respond in writing to each of these requests as the response impacts the
schools decision. Only persons who are active members by the above criteria
receive a positive response.
• Sacraments outside of our parish: If you decide to have your sacrament
performed outside of your parish, your pastor is required to honestly state in
writing that you are an active registered member. Your active membership
enables us to write such a letter.
• Persons asked to be sponsors must meet these standards

Habitat for Humanity: Fundraising for All Saints 23rd HFH home is underway.
Thanks to all who have contributed so far. Please monitor our
fundraising progress on the Habitat board located in the Vestibule
of the Church. This is a parishioner initiated ministry and we hope
that all parishioners will contribute at whatever level is affordable.
Your financial generosity and volunteer labor support has changed
the lives of the working poor of Atlanta by providing affordable
homeownership. Your support reduces the cost of building the
home so that the families can secure an affordable, “0” interest mortgage,
serviced by the Atlanta HFH affiliate. You have changed the lives of 22 families
for generations to come. One recent All Saints Habitat family called All Saints
their “Earth Angles” and the term fits you well.
Volunteer Signup : If you missed signup weekend we still need you! There is a
signup sheet in the vestibule under the fundraising board or you can call Jane &
Mike Will at 770-446-7674, [email protected] or [email protected] Please
consider spending one Saturday helping your fellow All Saints Parishioners
construct the home. Absolutely no skills are required. There is a job for everyone
and skilled supervisors are there to train and assist. Minimum age to work on site
is 16 due to insurance regulations. All are welcome so think about organizing a
group from your workplace or friends. Lunch, snacks, water and soda are
provided at the site.
God Bless you for all you do to support our Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

possible to prevent your transactions being declined.
a. If you are issued a new card with a chip from the issuer prior to the old
card expiring, the new card number and expiration date will need to be
updated.
b. If your old card expires and the issuer sends a new card with a new
expiration date, the expiration date will need to be updated.
c. If you cancel your card and use a new one, the new card number and
expiration date will need to be updated.

For St Vincent de Paul contributions: please write out a separate check to
SVdP and do not comingle your contributions with those for the All Saints
offertory and second collections. Having a separate check or cash enables St.
Vincent de Paul to process their income on a timely manner and not wait for All
Saints. To issue them a check. Keeping the contributions separate also helps
with financial audits as SVdP has a different tax id number and undergo a
separate audit from All Saints.
Senior Bingo will resume in September. As a new fall season approaches,
please remember our senior group. We are again asking for your almost new
trinkets, jewelry, books, puzzles, scarves, and the like, that can be used as prizes
for our senior bingo games. I am afraid our cupboard is bare and badly needs
replenishing. We are grateful for your generosity in the past and hope you can
support us again by donating your small treasures. Donations can be left at the
parish office marked “Senior Bingo”. Questions, please call Suellen Valentine
at 770-394-2775.
Did you know the Vatican has published an entire website devoted to the Holy
Father's encyclical on the environment? http://www.laudatosi.va,/ provides a
variety of resources to deepen understanding of this issue and its connection to
our faith. Join Faith in Action, the small faith community that explores Catholic
social teaching, when we meet Wednesday Aug 24, 7-9pm in the parish library to
explore how each of us can make a positive impact on the environment. We will
use the Vatican website, the USCCB study guide, and our own Archdiocese of
Atlanta Action Plan to learn new and exciting ways to care for our common
home. Refreshments will be served. More information contact [email protected]
