All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the
Hope Family Health Center. The Hope Family Health
Center is a non-profit clinic that treats patients who
have no medical insurance or means of health care
access.
The Hope Family Health Center is located in McAllen
and is run by local physicians and staff pro-bono.
As our community grows, so do our medical and
health care needs. The physicians at Doctors
Hospital at Renaissance have acknowledged this
and have decided to come together to contribute to
this worthy cause.

the hospital, but are independent contractors whose professional
relationship is directly with the patient.

» Teams are not required to check in on Saturday morning at
Louie’s Backyard prior to fishing. Teams may depart from an
origination point of their choice that morning but
anglers WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BEGIN FISHING OR
HAVE A LINE IN THE WATER PRIOR TO 6:00 AM
» Weigh-in: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Louie’s Backyard.
» 4 Anglers max per TEAM
» A Physicians Team MUST have of at least one DHR
Physician on the boat.
» All Team Members must be present at weigh-in. You will
weigh in individually and your team’s combined weight of
your heaviest Red & Trout will be used as your TEAM entry.
» All prizes and winnings will be awarded to the teams not
individuals. The teams will be responsible for dividing the
winnings as they see fit.
» Your individual fish will also qualify for the Best All-Around
Red & Trout awards.
» All Flounder entries in ALL divisions will qualify for
Tournament Best All-Around Flounder.
» Anglers can weigh in one of each species:
- No Trout over 25 Inches
- No Red Fish over 28 Inches
- Flounder
» Tournament Committee reserves the right to
categorize the team’s division.
» All fish will be weighed in according to Texas Parks and
Wildlife guidelines (mouth closed, tail pinched).
» Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Wardens will be on-site.
» The Committee reserves the right to refuse participation.
If you have ever been convicted, or if you are under
investigation, of fraud in a fishing tournament you are
ineligible to participate in Doctors Hospital at Renaissance “Fishing for Hope” Tournament.
