Howe's That
Spring has the best way of
making young boys do
some pretty dumb things to
get out of school. Four high
school boys afflicted with
spring fever skipped
morning classes. After
lunch they reported to the
teacher that they had a flat
tire. Much to their relief she
smiled and said, "Well, you
missed a test today so take
seats apart from one another
and take out a piece of
paper." Still smiling, she
waited for them to sit down.
Then she said: "First

There are three kinds of
people: The ones that learn
by reading, the few who
learn by observation, and
the rest of them who have to
touch the fire to see for
themselves if it's really hot.
Students in a psychology
class at a local college were
attending their first class on
emotional extremes.
"In order to establish some
parameters," the professor
said to a student from
Sherman, "What is the
opposite of joy?"
"Sadness," replied the
student.
"And what is the opposite of
depression?", the professor
asked a young lady from
Denison.
"Elation," she answered.
"And you, young man," he
said to a student from
Howe. "What about the
opposite of woe?"
"Well, sir, I believe that'd
be 'giddy-up'."

Hargrove will remember forever as
she threw a no-hitter in the Lady

.
No Ponder batter was able to locate
Hargrove's pitches during the
game. She struck out seven batters
and walked none while recording
her momentous feat.
Eleven runs in the first three
innings helped the Lady Bulldogs
blow out Ponder . A passed ball, an
RBI single by Kayla Anderson, and
a two-run home run by Payton
Griffin during the first inning and
and a sacrifice fly by Hargrove in
the second inning helped the Lady
Bulldogs put some runs on the

We have an opportunity to be a

can’t be done without the peace of

What she says works is working in

people will be drawn to the light of
