Zika
It’s time to unite as a community against the Zika virus, which can cause birth defects such as
microcephaly. Join your neighbors and establish a plan of action against Zika that includes:
• Use mosquito repellent.
• Wear long sleeves and long pants.
• Once a week, dump or drain collected water in and around your home.
Scrub containers to get rid of mosquito eggs.
• Use screens on doors and windows.
• Sleep under a mosquito net and cover crib and baby stroller with
mosquito netting.
• If your partner is pregnant, always use a condom because Zika is also
transmitted through intercourse.
Do it for yourself and for our children.
