Fellow Wingers,
A lot to report here as two things happened since our last article. We
had our gathering in Osmond at Tiger Tavern and a lot of us attended
Cabin Fever in Norfolk. Both well attended and a great time. We had 25 in
attendance with one new person. John Doerr from the Osmond area
attended for the first time, we hope it was the first of many. Chapter
Couple of the Year for 2016 were announced, Larry & April Smolek and
our Chapter Individual of the Year, Marvin Blunck. Congratulations to
all!!! Our gathering was hosted by Dennis & Sharon Schultze and Roger
& Joyce Tacey. They did a fantastic job and made us all winners. For
Door Prizes we all got two different types of cheese cakes!! Very good.
Thanks! Our next gathering will be hosted by Marvin Blunk and Jerry
Uhing also at Tiger Tavern in Osmond on March 16th.
Two Chapter rides were talked about and Cindi Umberger said there will
be a mystery ride earlier than normal in July. That is about all she would
say. The first Ride will be a day ride to Valentine NE to walk the highest,
longest walk bridge on the cowboy trail. That will take place on May 21st.
Full details next newsletter. On June 10-11-12th Our Chapter along with
Chapter W will be meeting in North Platte for a fun weekend. Details to
follow.
On May 14 some of us will be riding up to Rapid City S.D. for a new
Chapter kick off. At our next gathering we will want a head count of
who's going.
Rick & Robin Sanders, NE/SD Directors did a great job putting on a
great Cabin Fever Weekend. Fun was had by all. Chapter NE-NE had a
very good showing. Some highlights - much talk about the upcoming
rally at Wall SD. Someone Volunteered Chapter NE-NE to do the
registration desk on Thursday and to do the pulled pork dinner. New for
this year is rally shirts on line. Choose your size, color and order your
self. follow this link; http://www.zazzle.com/ne sd district rally shirts235904702657935824

Things you can learn from bikers
Life may begin at 30, but it doesn’t get real interesting until about 60 mph
If you wait, all that happens is that you get older.
Midnight bugs taste just as bad as Noon time bugs.
Saddlebags can never hold everything you want, but they CAN hold everything you need.
Never be afraid to slow down.
Don’t ride so late into the night that you sleep through the sunrise.
Riding faster than everyone else only guarantees you’ll ride alone.
If you don’t ride in the rain, you don’t ride.
Respect the person who has seen the dark side on motorcycling and lived.
Young riders pick a destination and go… Old riders pick a direction and go.
Sometimes the fastest way to get there is to stop for the night.
Winter is Nature’s way of telling you to polish your bike.
People are like Motorcycles: each is customized a bit differently.
A friend is someone who’ll get out of bed at 2 am to drive his pickup to the middle of nowhere to get
you when you’re broken down.
Don’t lead the pack if you don’t know where you’re going.
Don’t argue with an 18-wheeler.
Never be ashamed to unlearn an old habit.
If you ride like there’s no tomorrow, there won’t be.
There are drunk riders. There are old riders. There are NO old, drunk riders.
Keep the paint up and the rubber down!
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD, PEOPLE WHO RIDE MOTORCYCLES AND
PEOPLE WHO WISH THEY COULD.

Subject: Can you keep a secret?
Well, DON'T! Please help me spread the news! Wing Ding in Billings, Montana could be the
largest Wing Ding ever! As of this week, our registrations already received are the second
highest ever! We have added more rooms at discounted rates as well.
The old saying is "The more the merrier." This is really true at Wing Ding. We will all have the
opportunity to see even more of our friends and extended family from around the country
There will be more surprises and special activities centered around having FUN with our
Members. The daily and the final cash drawing will all be huge too.

So please let everyone know they need to get signed up right away so that they will not miss
out on all the FUN in Billings. When you plan your trip to this scenic part of the country, be
sure and leave enough time so that you can travel through Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Wolf
Creek Pass and many more. It has been said that many of these nearby destinations are
among the most popular motorcycle and trike trips in the U.S. You will be surrounded by the
grandeur of these incredible sights in all directions.
Sandi and I are so excited about this news and want to thank each of you that have already
registered. If you haven't had a chance to do so, here is the link, http://wingding.org/attend.html . It only takes about 3 minutes to set up a vacation of a lifetime! We
look forward to seeing you all at Billings!
Thanks,
Ray & Sandi Garris
Your Directors of GWRRA
RENO RENDEZVOUS RETURNS!
- Mark your calendars! The second-annual
Reno Rendezvous is slated for
July 7-9, 2016
and will once again be held at the beautiful
Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
Visit the official website for registration information, daily schedules, and more.
Be sure to check back often as information will be updated as it develops.
We look forward to seeing you there!
We are also happy to announce this year’s District Rally will be Wall South Dakota and the date has been changed to
Au-gust 25-27. This date coincidentally falls on the weekend be-fore Wing Ding in Billings Montana. What this means
is that you can enjoy yourself at our Rally and then spend a few lei-surely days making your way to Billings. We have
blocked rooms in three hotels and hotel information can be found in the flyer that will be posted on our website in the
next few days. More information on the Rally will be forthcoming but I can tell you right now that it will be primarily a
riding rally, highlighted byguided and unguided rides.
That’s about all from Omaha for now. Hope to see you on the road!
