NAZ Notes
Announcements
Today at Nazareth
Read It! Read Luther’s Small
Catechism. It remains a great primer
and introduction to the Christian faith.
Particularly, read Luther’s explanation
of the Lord’s Prayer and how he
speaks to the “now, but not yet”
realities of our Christian faith.
KidzRock and Confirmation Classes will have
their final meetings for the 2015/2016 school year
on Sunday, May 22.
The flowers at the altar are in honor of Lee and
Marlene Engen’s 56th wedding anniversary.
Watch It! Watch the Kingdom Come
study series by J.D. Greear on
RightNow Media. The Kingdom of
Jesus
was
inexplicable
and
undeniable.
Jesus proclaimed the
Kingdom everywhere he went and
demonstrated that it was real. He
encountered
people
everywhere,
however, who could not see it and
could not believe.
They were
skeptics. Luke records many stories
of skeptics who encountered the
Kingdom because they encountered
Jesus, and their stories are a great
lesson to us.
Live It! Prayer, fasting, scripture
reading, worship and service are the
five primary spiritual disciplines that
have the greatest transformative
impact on our lives. Spend some time
in reflection this week honestly
assessing where you are at now in
regards to each discipline. Set some
goals for yourself to grow in each of
these practices.
A Special Welcome to Our Visitors
Whether you’re visiting from across town or out of state, we are so glad you are here! Please stop by the Welcome
Desk for an information packet and special gift. Today’s worship services are our gifts of praise and thanksgiving
to God, and we welcome you here as our guests. Please contact Deb Rhoades at [email protected] or 319266-7589, ext. 101, regarding our Membership Class--BELONG.
