On behalf of the City of Commerce Parks and Recreation Department (CPRD) and the Georgia Recreation
and Parks Association (GRPA), I would like to welcome you and your team to the 2013 GRPA Class C Midget Boys Basketball Tournament. Enclosed in this packet you will find the following information:

There are a few rules that I would like to make you aware of before the tournament begins:







Each team’s head coach should check in with the Tournament Director no later than 30 minutes prior to your
team’s first game of the tournament. At that time, questions may be resolved.
The hospitality suite will be located at the Main Gym (Gym 1). Coaches, referees, and staff members may use the
suite.
Locker rooms will be available for pre-game discussions and half-time talks between players and coaches. No
items are to be left in the locker rooms.
CPRD WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BELONGINGS!! Multiple teams will use the locker rooms and
there WILL NOT be an attendant before, during, or after any games.
No more than three (3) adults are allowed in the team bench area at any time. This includes stat keepers and managers.
Teams must bring their own warm-up basketballs.

Admission will be $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students and seniors (55 or over). Children ages 6 and under, coaches, players, and park staff will be admitted for free. If you have any questions or concerns prior

Take I-85 North or South to exit 147 (Maysville /Commerce)
Turn RIGHT at the light onto Highway 98.
Follow highway 98 into the city limits of Commerce.
Turn RIGHT onto Washington Street. (Washington Street will dead end at Jefferson Road/Alt 15)
Turn RIGHT onto Alt15 and then immediately turn LEFT onto Lakeview Drive. (There will be a Presbyterian Church on the corner of Lakeview and Alt 15)
6. Follow Lakeview until you see the Commerce High School.
7. Choose step 8, 9, or 10 depending on which venue you wish to access.
Directions to Commerce High School from Athens
Take 441 North from Athens to the light in Commerce at HWY 334 and turn LEFT. (Ingles is on the right)
2. Follow South Elm Street all the way through town to the second light and turn LEFT onto Alternate
15 / Jefferson Road. (There is a CVS on the left)
3. Go about a half mile and turn LEFT at the First Presbyterian Church onto Lakeview Drive.
4. Follow Lakeview until you see the Commerce High School.
5. Choose step 8, 9, or 10 depending on which venue you wish to access.

8. Main Gym (Gym 1) Parking is on the right hand side as you face the building or the D delta side. When
you see the front entrance to Commerce High School continue following Lakeview to the right, you will
see a big parking lot and a second entrance with steps going up to a plaza, and main Commerce High School
Main Gym (Gym 1) entrance (there is a big rock at entrance). Park in this lot please. The last set of entry
doors on the right hand side will be open; upon entering someone will be there to collect entry fees just inside the doors.
9. Auxiliary Gym Parking (Gym 2) as you approach Commerce High School on Lakeview directly in
front Lakeview will make a slight turn to the right you will make a left hand turn in front of Commerce
High School (this street doesn’t have a name) and continue LEFT past the Commerce City Board of Education building and parking lot follow the signs and road to the back of the Commerce High School Campus.
You will see the Auxiliary Gym (Gym 2) as it sits above the Commerce High School Football Field or Ray
lamb Stadium. There is a parking lot that is above the Auxiliary Gym (Gym 2) and a set of steps that that lead
down to its entrance.
10. Overflow Parking after you pass the Main Gym (Gym 1) parking area continue on Lakeview. Lakeview will make a sharp left hand turn then you will see a large parking lot on the left. Overflow parking will
be available in this lot. There are stairs in the far left corner, if you are facing the lot, leading to a football field
and stadium. To get to the Auxiliary Gym (Gym 2) go past the stadium then to the right. The auxiliary gym is
in the same building as the concession stands for the stadium. To get to the Main Gym (Gym1) follow the
sidewalk to the left. OR After parking, follow the sidewalk next to Lakeview back to the venue of your
choice.
