PERSONAL STATEMENT

I'm a foresight practitioner, deditated to learning people think about the future and strategic
options for buiilding a better future. I love the combination of rigorous science and creativity that
is essential for foresight studies. Co-creating understanding of the future with groups of people
can be magic!
I work since 2006 as a governmental foresight pratitioner. I was project leader of several large
foresight projects, consisting of technology analysis, trend research, scenario planning, strategic
narratives, risk governance analysis and strategic dialogue. I have co-founded the Dutch Future
Society and I blog from Futuristablog.com
Assignments that are outside the scope of my role in governement organisations, I have my
freelance practice Future Motions.
