Product Overview
RMD Kwikform’s NEW four sided manhole bracing system is used with trench
sheets or sheet piles to create small cofferdams for the construction of
manholes, small chambers & tanks. The system is the first in the market to be
CE compliant and comprises of 6 different lengths of hydraulic bracing frame
legs (types A-F) which simply pin together at the corners saving you time, labour
and cost.

To accommodate different levels fine & coarse adjustment
on site the shorter legs have 500mm stroke whereas the
longer legs have a 1200mm stroke.

Kwikform’s manhole bracing
system is the strongest in the
market.
RMD Kwikform’s Double
Acting Manhole Bracing
system is fully European
Standard compliant,
designed and manufactured
in accordance with latest
standards EN14653, EN1090
and carry the quality CE
Mark.
Flexibility
Safety
Each leg length has a
sensible overlap of 100mm to
allow for over digging or
under digging on site, with a
500mm stroke range on the
A, B & C Legs and a
generous 1200mm Stroke on
the longer D, E & F range, all
legs are interchangeable with
each other to suite various
combinations of sizes (2no
male and female adaptors
are required to combine the
A, B & C legs to D, E & F
Legs).
The manhole bracing frame
legs have been designed
with robust integral lifting
points to avoid issues with
potential damage. These
lifting lugs have been
incorporated on both the top
and bottom of the legs to
allow each frame to be
suspended from the one
above thus removing the
necessity for long restraint
chains.

The pinned connection also

articulation between manhole
brace frame legs at the
corners for digs that aren’t
quite square.
The housing to the hydraulic
valves has been designed to
protect them from damage &
debris whilst still allowing
easy access for Locking off
Valve and the attachment
and removal of hydraulic
hoses.

Suspended from the trench
sheets with restraining
chains, the manhole bracing
frames have been designed
to clear span up to 6.0m
Sheet to Sheet in both
directions (for larger digs the
frames can be used in a back
to back scenario to save on
cost and ease of
Installation/Excavating).
Simplicity
There are no bolted
connections, the hydraulic
bracing frame legs simply pin
together at the corners using
a Tee pin & r-clip. This
connection has been
designed for speed and ease
of handling.
