URBAN PROPERTY TAX ORDINANCES, 1928-4929

In exercise of the powers vested in him by Section 3 (2) of the Urban
Property Tax Ordinances, 4928-1929, the High Commissioner has varied the
boundary of the Urban Area of Jaffa, which was referred to in the Order dated
28th July, 4928, appearing in Official Gazette No. 216 dated 1st August, 1928,
and the Urban Area of Jaffa for the purpose of the Ordinances shall now be
the area comprised and outlined in red on the Survey Department map of
Jaffa-Tel Aviv and environs on the 1/7,500 scale.
Copies of the map and of a schedule giving the full description of the
varied boundaries of the said area signed by the Commissioner of Lands are
exhibited at the District Offices, Jaffa, the Land Registry, Jaffa, the Jaffa
Municipal Office, the Office of the Town Council of Tel Aviv, the Office of the
Local Council, Sarona, and the Office of the Commissioner of Lands, Jerusalem,
and are open for inspection by any member of the public at any of those
places between the hours of 40 a.m. and noon.
The High Commissioner has declared that the Urban Property Tax
Ordinances, 4928-1929, shall apply to the area comprised within the aforesaid
varied boundary as if it had been comprised in an Order made under Section
3(4) of the Ordinances and that in place of the House and Land Tax payable
at the Date hereof, there shall be payable annually from the 1st day of April,
1931, by the reputed owners of house property and land within such area a
tax which shall be assessed and paid in accordance with the provisions of the
said Ordinances.

Whereas a scheme for the development of the area in the Town Planning
Area of Haifa known as El Mafhara was provisionally approved by the Central
Town Planning Commission on the 46th April, 4930, and notice of the deposit
of the said scheme was published in the Official Gazette;
And whereas no objections have been raised to the said scheme and the
Central Town Planning Commission at their meeting on the 9th December,
4930, have applied to put the scheme into force;
And whereas the said scheme and plan annexed have been produced to
the High Commissioner and have been signed by h i m ;
Now, in exercise of the powers vested in him by Section 47 of the Town

NOTICE
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 13 of the Town
Planning Ordinance, 1921, that a Town Planning Scheme for the area in the
Town Planning Area of Haifa known as the Haifa Harbour Reclamation Area
has been provisionally approved by the Central Town Planning Commission
and deposited together with the relative plan at the Municipal Offices, Haifa,
where it may be inspected by any person interested between the hours of 8
and 10 a.m. daily.
Any person interested as owner or otherwise in the land affected by the
Scheme may lodge an objection thereto at the Municipal Offices within two
months of the date of the publication of this Notice in the Official Gazette.

PLANT PROTECTION ORDINANCE, 1924
Regulation made under Section 12 by the Director of Agriculture and
Forests with the approval of the High Commissioner
1. The sale or exposure for sale of any fruits or plants infected with
Black Scale is prohibited except in Northern Palestine.
2. For the purpose of this Regulation Northern Palestine shall have the
meaning defined in paragraph 1 of the Regulation under the Plant Protection
Ordinance, 1924, published in the Gazette Extraordinary of the 13th November, 1929.

VISAS FOR CHINA
It is notified for general information that under regulations recently introduced by the Chinese Government relative to the examination of foreign passports,
foreigners entering China by any route may be required to produce passports
bearing the visa of the proper Chinese Diplomatic or Consular Authority.
British subjects and Palestinian citizens travelling to China are accordingly
warned that, in their own interests, they will be well advised to obtain a
Chinese visa.

Notice is hereby given that Schedules of Claims for Nes-Ziona in the
Ramleh Settlement Area, have been posted in the Office of the Settlement
Officer situated in Abu Khadra Building, Abu Khaclra Street, near King George
V Avenue, Jaffa, and in the District Office of the Ramleh Sub-District in Jaffa,
in accordance with Section 24 of the Principal Ordinance.
Persons having any interest in the lands of the said village should
examine the Schedules and should take the necessary steps to ensure that their
rights, including mortgage, leases for a period of more than three years, or
servitudes, are examined by the Settlement Officer of the Ramleh Settlement

NOTICE.
In exercise of the powers vested in me by Section 23 of the Land Settle­
ment Ordinances, 19284930, I hereby give notice that I have approved and
accepted the parcellation of the masha' lands, as described hereunder, i n the
village of Yebna, formerly held in common and periodically distributed among
the inhabitants of the,village.
Any person claiming an interest in the said land in the village of Yebna
should submit his claim to me in accordance with the provisions of the Land
Settlement Ordinances, i f he has not already done so.

CORRECTION OF LAND REGISTERS ORDINANCE, 4926
Notice under Section 2 (b) of the Regulations published
in the Official Gazette of 23rd May, 4930
Notice is hereby given to the persons whose names appear in the attached'
Schedules that the Area of Ramleh was declared to be a Settlement Area on
the 4st June, 4928, and that the village of Nes Ziona (with Wadi Hunain)
was notified as a "Settlement" village on the 1st October, 4930, and that I
propose to determine the title to the land in the said, village and am prepared
to receive any claim in connection therewih.
Any person named in the Schedules attached who has an interest recorded
in the Unofficial Land Book of the said village and/or is registered in the
Official Registers as an owner of land or any interest therein should submit a
separate claim in respect of each interest claimed in any parcel of land on
the prescribed Memorandum of Claim to the Assistant Settlement Officer at Nes
Ziona and should enter thereon all the prescribed particulars.

A n examination of candidates for Land
Surveyors' Licences will be held at the Survey
Headquarters Office, Sarona, during the week
commencing 23rd March, 1931.
Applications for examination should be

Surveys, P . O . B . 278, Jaffa, not later than 7th
March, 1931, and should be accompanied by the

A syllabus of subjects covered by the
examination can be obtained on application to
the Director of Surveys.
No person shall be eligible for a licence
unless he has obtained Palestinian citizenship,
or has received permission to remain perma­
nently in Palestine.
Holders of existing licences are reminded

by the prescribed fees, should reach the Director
of Surveys prior to 31st March, 1931.
