May 25 2016 will no doubt be remembered as pivotal event in the growth of SPS Vietnam. The day
marks the growth and aspirations of the SPS Vietnam Management Team and that of SPS Global; it’s a
day when SPS clearly defined their ambitions and confidence in the future of their Can Tho and Vietnam
operations for the years to come. The new office is strategically located in the Youth Employment Center
of the Ninh Kiều District, Can Tho.

The New Office Opening Event started in the morning welcoming guests from Ho Chi Minh City and Can
Tho. Around 80 people came to share in the festivities with SPS Vietnam, including Othmar Hardegger,
General Consul of Switzerland, a delegation of SPS United States, Members of People’s Committee of Can
Tho, including Vice Chairman, Mr. Trương Quang Hoài Nam, Vietnam Software Association with its
Member of Executive Committee Mr. Nguyễn Hoàng Việt, and others. The Reception and the main
performances of the Event were organized in front of the building.

Prior to the event and in line with Vietnamese custom there was a Lion (‘Unicorn’) dance accompanied by
Ông Địa (Mr. Dia), the spirit of the earth to bring prosperity and good luck. According to popular beliefs, the
good-hearted spirit has the power to summon the auspicious unicorn, and thus during the dance, takes the
lead in clearing the path for the unicorn, and to ward off evil spirits.

At the end of the performance, the key representatives of SPS Vietnam and guests made their speeches.
Firstly, Anatolijus Fouracre greeted the participants and shared the significant progress achieved during
the last 5 years, the new opportunities for the employees and business location. He ended his speech with
parting wishes: ‘I would to welcome our Can Tho employees to their new home, where we can be energized,
motivated and inspired to continue providing outstanding customer service to our clients and grow the
Vietnam reputation as a choice country for outsourced service locations with SPS’. Othmar Hardegger,
General Consul of Switzerland in Vietnam, spoke of the important role of Swiss Investors in Vietnam; “Swiss
companies have invested around 2 billion USD, making Switzerland the 4th biggest European investor in
Vietnam today” he said. “The Bilateral Trade between Vietnam and Switzerland reached $1.45 billion USD
last year”. Mr. Hardegger emphasized, “The commitment of companies like SPS to develop business of the
highest standard will inspire many other companies in Vietnam”. Ms. Lan Bui, Branch Manager, Can Tho
Office, expressed a very optimistic future regarding the new branch and the company as a whole. After the
speeches each of the speakers and VIP’s were invited to cut the ribbon and celebrate the moment.
Employees of Can Tho Branch performed an especially rehearsed dance to complete the ceremonial part
of the Event.

SPS Vietnam Can Tho Branch moves to new offices
After the event, guests were invited into the building to tour the new facilities of the company. The new
office has been tastefully decorated in corporate colours and to Swiss Post corporate guidelines with the
prevailing yellow colour. The new offices were fitted out with modern furniture, new hardware solutions and
security set in a spacious and accommodating area. Guests were obviously impressed by the style and
decoration.

SPS Vietnam Can Tho Branch moves to new offices
After the Office Tour, employees and guests were invited to a celebratory lunch. All guests, both foreign
and local enjoyed traditional Mekong Delta food on the picturesque Mekong River.
After lunch, guests and staff fare-welled each other until we each meet again.
SPS Vietnam would like to thank all attending guests, participants and organizers of the event.
