welcome -to our- 44 season
th
CHAIRMAN’S COLUMN
There is a poignant Cherokee Proverb that is:
“Don’t let yesterday use up too much of today”
Innsbrook’s 44th year is already a year of change as we
transition to our successors and embrace a WHOLE lot
of change with renovations, new projects, activities,
menus, facilities, infrastructure, land acquisition,
products, etc., etc.
Many of these things, I personally would hesitate to
tackle at my age, but with our younger management
and capable and enthusiastic organization … we move
forward, but retain our basic traditions, philosophies
and ethics.
“Rapid Waters in the Forest” by Carolyn Mooney
With over 3,000 property owners, some in their
fourth generation, and many of who have owned
multiple chalets, condos, lots and homes, have given
us a big vote of confidence.
Innsbrook is still fun for me … and watching it evolve
and improve is exciting!
Enjoy the season!

A NOTE FROM CHARLIE
Greetings from Innsbrook and welcome to our 44th season!
Well it must finally be spring. Or at least it appears so by my weather
rock: hot (once), cold (some days), wet (a lot), covered in hail (yep,
it’s spring!!). And as spring is often the season most filled with
anticipation and excitement, so is the tenor of our community and the
spirit in which we publish our newsletter Innsight.
I’m honored to open the season with this letter to our community and it
is a treat to share an overview of all the great events and happenings in
store for us this year.
“Granddad and Grandson Fishing” by Anne Willis
As is tradition, we’ll be formally kicking off the season with our
Memorial Day Celebrations and Anniversary party. These events
are perfect for rekindling and reconnecting with the families and
friends that many of you haven’t seen since before the winter months.
Personally, I love to see the mix of our newest members of Innsbrook
alongside the multi-generational IBK’ers. Although, I must admit, that
now I’m the guy saying “Your son/daughter is how old now? I remember
when you first bought your cabin back in 19xx and the kids were in
diapers. My how the time flies!” Ugh. But as such, this is one of the
many strengths of our community. Traditions are infused with the
younger and newer generations and together we are making Innsbrook
more vibrant and relevant to our lives now more than ever.
Between the infusions (and a few transfusions) our popular hangouts
will be better than ever in ’15. The Clubhouse Bar & Grille was stripped
down to the bones and rebuilt to better serve our customers in an
atmosphere of fun and comfort that will meet the needs of all the IBK
generations from the tiny tikes to the young at heart. Along with the
great additions to the bar, dining areas, kids’ area and staff—and quite
importantly—we’ve completely re-equipped the kitchen and doubled its
size in the process.
“Log Cabin Duo” by Mike Gualdoni
The 2015 concert season will be our finest yet. From classical to classic
rock, from Beethoven to Bono and Zac Brown to Funky Butt, you will
be entertained by some of the finest musicians and bands around.
We are thrilled to share the news that marquee musicians from around
the globe will be returning to IBK for our Institute’s Summer Music
Festival and Academy. Our Artistic Director and St. Louis Symphony
Orchestra Concertmaster, David Halen, has brought back our good
friends Wendy Chen, Chee-Yun, Grace Park and more for what will
certainly be a series you will not want to miss.
One of the finest traditions and events we have is our annual
Independence Day Celebration.
The day will be most memorable in the history of America …
It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade … bonfires and
illuminations [fireworks] from one end of this continent to the
other, from this time forward forevermore.
— John Adams, July 3, 1776

“All Decked Out” by Kelly Ford
Thank you President Adams, I couldn’t agree more!
E v ery body
needs beauty as well as bread,
places to pl ay in and pr ay in ,
where nature may heal and
give strength to body and soul.
— John Muir
“Honor Our Freedom” by Ken Allman
Fireworks celebrate a special moment in time. The tradition marks time
for generations. They strengthen community as friends, family and
neighbors gather for a shared experience. And they’re fun! This show
would not be possible without the generous support of our community,
and I thank each of you that contribute for your valued generosity.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day our community will enjoy a lineup
of events, celebrations, activities, camps, concerts, workshops, races,
regattas, tournaments, shows and parties that any major city would be
thrilled to have in their portfolio. This would not be possible if not for
the countless hours of dedicated IBK volunteers. We are all indebted to
these acts of community service; please join me in thanking them when
you see them.
The French author Jules Renard once commented, “On earth there is
no heaven, but there are pieces of it.” I believe we all share a piece of
heaven with the natural beauty that envelops us at Innsbrook, and I
also believe that this is the fundamental common denominator that
we share. Be it primal, tribal, karma or kismet, a few moments spent
travelling our trails or back roads can be magical.
“Tri at Innsbrook” by Cynthia Bowers
May you take the time this season to enjoy the unique Innsbrook
experience. Have fun. Be a good neighbor.
As always, we welcome any opportunity to hear from you; your
comments, questions and constructive criticism have helped to shape
the Innsbrook community.
Sincerely,
Charlie Boyce, President & CEO

dancing the night away
No matter what type of music you personally enjoy, our Summer Breeze concerts are a popular community event, where
neighbors gather and catch up over a picnic, kids play Frisbee and make up their own creative games, and everyone enjoys
an evening under the stars. From pop and dance to rock and country and spanning the decades, each concert is a great
way to unwind and cap off a fun and fulfilling summer day at Innsbrook. There’s a concert nearly every weekend of the
summer, we hope you’ll make it out to the Farmhouse Field for each and every one! All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.*
For more information call ext. 180.
Dirty Muggs
May 24
Kicking off the 2015 season of Summer Breeze is the high-energy, can’t
stop dancing sounds and moves of the Dirty Muggs. This band can play
it all with covers from Prince, Journey, Al Green, Justin Timberlake,
Bruno Mars, and more. Dirty Muggs’ choreography, musical prowess,
and cast of entertainers are sure to capture the hearts of Innsbrook
fans. The Dirty Muggs will have you on your feet and showing off your
moves before the sun goes down on Memorial Day weekend!
Well Hungarians
May 30
Also back this year by popular demand are the Well Hungarians, whose
musical repertoire covers a wide spectrum of songs from the ‘70s to
current hits. The band’s performances include original music as well
as country, rock and classic cover songs ranging from the Zac Brown
Band to Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Well Hungarians have extensive longterm professional recording and live playing experience. Let’s welcome
them back to Innsbrook!
Resurrection
June 20
Don’t stop believin’—because the concert schedule continues to rock
on June 20. Coming to us all the way from Nashville is Journey tribute
band Resurrection. The band says that, “Whether you’re a hard-core
Journey fan, a newly converted one, or just want to relive a special part
of your life through a shared musical adventure, you will be captured
by the moment listening to ‘Resurrection—A Journey Tribute’ and
soaring from the experience long after the party’s over!”
Funky Butt Brass Band June 27
The Funky Butt Brass Band returns to Innsbrook this year, taking classic
New Orleans brass tunes and giving them a twist. According to the
uniquely-titled band, “The term ‘funky butt’ has a storied place in New
Orleans history. It was the title of a dance, a Buddy Bolden trumpet tune
and, in the early part of the 20th century when jazz was new, the Union
Sons of Honor Hall in the backatown district of New Orleans became the
Funky Butt Dance Hall at night.”

summer concerts
Breakfast Club July 3
A big Innsbrook hit—the Breakfast Club is a high energy rock/dance
‘80s tribute band, whose every song is a chart-topper that brings down
the house and will have you exclaiming, “I love this song!” Moonwalk
down memory lane with the Breakfast Club as they spin you right
round to all the radical sounds, styles, and way cool dance steps from
the 1980s in their over-the-top retro attire. This show will inspire you
to break out moves you never knew you had!
Rattle & Hum KC July 11
This band was disappointed to fall victim to a rainout last year, but
they couldn’t wait to come back and perform at Innsbrook for the first
time! Rattle & Hum will share the spirit of U2 with the Innsbrook
audience. The band is relentless in their dedication to playing their
set list with passion and energy, and always wins over any crowd they
play for. Rattle & Hum are based in Kansas City, but are taking the
Innsbrook stage to perform songs from U2’s vast catalog, from their
1980 debut album to the present.
Old Salt Union July 18
Old Salt Union takes their modern bluegrass and country sounds
on the road, heading to Innsbrook out of Belleville, Ill., for their
Summer Breeze debut. The band says that they “stretch the boundaries
of traditional bluegrass music by incorporating in-depth musical
arrangements, a catchy hook and an uncanny pop sensibility.” Old Salt
Union was named Best Country Band in 2014 by the Riverfront Times,
who also named them Best Bluegrass Band in 2013.
My Friend Mike July 25
The variety/piano music of My Friend Mike comes to the Innsbrook
stage on July 25. The band covers the latest Top 40 hits along with
soulful Motown classics, country, rock and anything in between.
My Friend Mike has been featured at many of St. Louis’ premier events
and venues including the Cardinals’ home opener rally at Keiner Plaza,
the St. Louis Zoo and citywide Fourth of July celebrations.
Serapis August 1
Kicking off August is Serapis, who has played at Innsbrook’s
Memorial Day celebration before. This group has been together
playing authentic rock music in the St. Louis area since 1982. Serapis
is a classic American band in every sense of the word. Originating
in garages of a Midwestern town, these guys honed their craft with
millions of hours logged on stages nationwide. From the beginning,
their choice has always been to play “something different”—to
champion the unsung heroes.
7
Vote for Pedro August 8
You don’t want to miss this exhilarating party band! Vote for Pedro
brings the party back to Innsbrook for a night of Top 40 hits under
the stars. This band covers the entire spectrum of popular music,
with a playlist that runs the gamut from modern and classic rock
to plenty of dance tunes to shake to. Last year, members of Vote for
Pedro collaborated with St. Louis Symphony musicians (including
concertmaster and Innsbrook property owner David Halen) in
performances to raise money for local institutions!
Dogs of Society August 15
After your feet recover from the dance party with Vote for Pedro,
welcome Elton John tribute band Dogs of Society. Dogs of Society
deliver a rockin’ musical experience faithful to the spirit of the classic
Elton John recordings. Inspired by Elton John from the earliest years,
band member John Gore knew piano was the instrument for him.
Elton’s soaring melodies, trippy lyrics and killer rock hooks led John
to form Dogs of Society in 2012. The group will make their Innsbrook
debut and put on an energetic rock show that’s perfect for all ages!
Dr. Zhivegas August 22
Rock ‘n roll meets dance funk when Midwest party rock band Dr.
Zhivegas returns to Innsbrook on August 22. Always rocking, always
compelling, always playing your favorite songs, Dr. Zhivegas is a live
21st century Juke Box! The band has been a mainstay in the St. Louis
music scene and their high-energy performance is one you won’t want
to miss.
Seven Bridges Road August 29
With its delicate and haunting six-string intricacies, Seven Bridges
Road has set out to recall the legend that is the Eagles, with a richlylayered recreation worthy of the legacy of Don Henley and the boys.
Come out for this concert and hear all the hits that made the Eagles
one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time. Popular songs by the
Eagles include Hotel California, Take it Easy, Life in the Fast Lane
and Desperado.
Butch Wax & The Hollywoods September 5
In the Summer Breeze Concert Series finale, Butch Wax & The
Hollywoods return to Innsbrook to help your family celebrate Labor
Day Weekend. Together for three decades, this band will make you
get up and shake it with all the oldies and dance music from the ‘60s
and ‘70s, as well as Motown hits. Butch Wax & The Hollywoods have
performed at Innsbrook several times, and say it’s a favorite place to
play. Their performance style is funky, soulful and fun.

innsbrook: unplugged
We’ve always said Innsbrook is centered
around two of life’s most important
things: family and nature.
We keep that theme in mind through planning all of our
property owner events throughout the year. With access
to technology increasing at light speed, we felt we needed
to up our game in trying to help families spend more time
together in nature—having ‘organic’ fun without any apps
necessary. That’s why we’ve planned Innsbrook’s first-ever
official Unplugged Weekend. Now, if you ask Ed Boyce,
Les Buechele, Charlie Boyce and Chip Wobbe—they can
probably tell you about plenty of unplugged weekends
they’ve had at Innsbrook. But that was before (we won’t
say how long before) cell phones were in the hand of
seemingly everyone.
One of the great things about being unplugged is not
having to worry about every teenager’s nightmare—the
phone battery dying. You don’t have to worry about
being near an outlet at all times when your only focus
is absorbing the wonders of nature around you and
embracing time together with your loved ones.
Challenge yourself to really explore Innsbrook this
year—make a summer bucket list and experience
Innsbrook via horseback, bicycle, golf cart, paddleboat
and your own two feet! These are some of the exciting
nature stories happening at Innsbrook this year.
Eagle’s Nest Discovered in Innsbrook!
We were thrilled to discover an occupied bald eagle’s
nest earlier this year! To protect the privacy of the eagles
and the property owners in the area, we can’t divulge
the location of the nest. We don’t know how many eggs
are in the nest but are confident that there is at least one.
According to the Missouri Department of Conservation
(MDC), bald eagles add to their nest each January and
February. In Missouri, the average nest size is 5 feet wide
and 3 feet deep. Two, sometimes three, eggs are laid in
March or April. Both parents incubate the eggs for 34 to
40 days. By 10 to 11 weeks of age, eagles are feathered,
nearly full grown and able to fly from the nest. MDC
estimates that there are approximately 166 nesting pairs
in Missouri. Did you know? The term “bald” in bald eagle
actually refers to the Old English word “balde”—meaning
white—rather than without feathers.

New Trail Maps Available This Year!
This year we will unveil brand new maps
for each Innsbrook hiking trail! These
maps will be easy to understand, pleasant
to look at, and convenient to carry along.

at the Property Management Building,
Real Estate Sales Office or Aspen Center.
Coming this Summer:
Guided Nature Hikes and Family Campout
Innsbrook wants to get you unplugged and outdoors
this year! Just put… the iPad… down. It’s OK—you can
do it! You can harvest your Hay Day crops later. Today,
we’re going on a nature hike! We’ve scheduled a number
of guided nature hikes this summer. A Missouri Master
Naturalist will tell us all about what we’re seeing along
the way. Don’t just read about nature—experience it!
The guided hikes take place June 13, July 11 and August 8
at 9 a.m. Find out more in the calendar section on page(s)
26, 28, and 29.
In addition, we’re challenging our property owners to
participate in our Unplugged Weekend Saturday-Sunday,
June 6-7. See how long you and your family members and
guests can avoid electronics! We’ll do our part to help you
by hosting a family campout on June 6 in the Farmhouse
Field. We’ll eat s’mores and enjoy activities and music with
Bo Brown. Make sure you bring your tent to Innsbrook
this weekend! Learn more on page 25.
Eagle’s Nest at Innsbrook
Attracting Birds to Your Backyard
Don’t Leave Fires Unattended
Many people enjoy the delight of feeding wild birds
throughout the year. Here are some suggestions from the
experts on what to put out for food and what to plant on
your property to attract the birds you’re aiming to set your
eyes on this year!
There’s nothing like a crackling campfire to provide the
background music to a summer evening. But it’s important
to remember a few fire safety tips. In preparing your fire
or building your fire pit, look for a spot at least 15 feet
away from shrubs, trees and other flammable objects.
Beware of low-hanging branches overhead. When starting
a fire, fill the pit with small pieces of dry wood; never rip
or cut branches from living trees. Place unused firewood
upwind and away from the fire. Keep a bucket of water and
a shovel nearby.
BLUEBIRDS
Feed: Mealworms in ground or platform
feeders. Plant: Berry-producing shrubs.
Dogwoods, sumacs, cedars, hawthorns
and similar plants provide natural
winter foods.
HUMMINGBIRDS
Feed: A nectar of four parts water to one
part sugar. Change the nectar weekly
or more often if it becomes cloudy.
Plant: Cardinal flower; jewelweed; royal
catchfly; red buckeye; columbine.
PURPLE MARTINS
Purple martins eat flying insects, so
no number of birdfeeders or type of
birdseed will attract them. Instead,
backyard birders should avoid spraying
insecticides or pesticides on lawns, trees
or shrubs, since doing so will eliminate
the single food source these birds require.
AMERICAN GOLDFINCHES
Feed: Thistle, or more accurately, Nyjer
seed, is a finch favorite. A specialty food
loved by goldfinches, purple finches and
even mourning doves. Plant: Consider
planting coneflowers, asters and
switchgrass to provide the birds with
plenty of seeds.
BALTIMORE ORIOLE
Feed: Feeding stations with fruit; orange
halves, dishes of grape jelly or specialized
nectar. You can use the same nectar for
orioles that you do for hummingbirds—
four parts water to one part sugar.
Plant: Instead of planting anything, you
can put yarn or string out in your yard.
Orioles and other backyard songbirds
will use it for their nests.
TANAGERS
Feed: Peanut butter, suet, fruit, sugar
water, mealworms, bread, cornmeal
Plant: Shrubs that produce berries.
When you’re coming inside for the day or leaving the area:
• Allow the wood to burn completely to ash, if possible;
• Pour lots of water on the fire—drown ALL embers, not
just the red ones;
• Pour until the hissing sound stops;
• Stir the campfire ashes and embers with a shovel;
• Scrape the sticks and logs to remove any embers;
• Stir and make sure logs are wet and cold to the touch.
• If you do not have water—use dirt. Mix enough dirt or
sand with the embers. Continue adding and stirring
until all material is cool. Do NOT bury the fire, as the
fire will continue to smolder and could catch roots on
fire that will eventually get to the surface.
If you see a fire left unattended, please report the exact
location to Innsbrook Security immediately. Ext. 400.
a reinvention
Property owners are in for a treat when
they visit the Clubhouse Bar and Grille
this summer as it has gone through a
complete metamorphosis this winter.
A true Innsbrook reinvention, when you open those doors
for the first time, we hope you smile from ear-to-ear at the
visual changes. Stone and wood throughout and a top-tobottom facelift with new flooring, tables, barstools, chairs,
wall coverings and lighting. And check out all the new
TVs throughout the area showing you the latest current
events and games of the day!
Even more importantly, we know that you’ll still be
smiling from ear-to-ear when you walk out those doors,
satisfied with the good quality food and great service that
the Clubhouse Bar and Grille provided. The changes aren’t
just surface level—we’ve doubled the size of the kitchen to
assure timely and consistent meals.
This isn’t just a place for golfers to have a round after
playing a round—this is a place for families to get together.
Whether it be a casual dinner before a Summer Breeze
concert or a special occasion to celebrate a graduation, the
friendly atmosphere and rustic, refined and relaxed style
of the Clubhouse Bar and Grille will be the first place
you’ll think of to grab a meal. We think you’ll love the
new personality of the restaurant and bar. From the new
décor to the mason jars and copper cups, Innsbrook has
re-defined its style!
A redesigned menu will include some
old favorites, as well as a number of
new items to try. We’ll keep our
signature fried chicken and pizza, and
we’ll bring in new and exciting entrées,
salads, sandwiches and appetizers!
The menu will include housemade
pizzas and salad dressings, and vegan
and gluten-free options. The Clubhouse Bar and Grille
will use fresh ingredients straight from local farms and
bakeries. With these changes, you’ll notice a wider variety
of higher quality foods.
We’ll also expand our beer selection to include more
local and regional craft breweries. And now we’ll focus
more on boutique wineries that offer great wines but
aren’t as well known.
The reinvention didn’t stop inside the doors of the
restaurant; you will be able to dine alfresco on the new
deck that will overlook the scenic 18th green of the golf
course. Live entertainment will set the mood for relaxing
afternoons this summer!
We can tell you about the great food, beautiful décor and
experienced staff all day, but we know you need to see it
for yourself! Whether you’ve been there 50 times or none
at all, we hope you’ll come this year to see what awaits you,
and that the Clubhouse Bar and Grille is a place you and
your family enjoy for years to come.
Meet our New Executive Chef
Serving up your Clubhouse Bar and
Grille fare will be Executive Chef
Jimmy O’Brien, who came to Innsbrook
in March of this year. He’d like to
introduce himself to you.
“I’m so happy to be at Innsbrook!
I was born in St. Louis and have been
working in kitchens since I was 15 years
old. I worked at Pietro’s on Watson and Charlie Gitto’s on the Hill.
Charlie trained me himself, and I am thankful for the time he spent
with me. I worked my way up to sous chef and then executive chef
during my seven years there.
Clubhouse Renovation Photos
Extension onto the Clubhouse for the new kitchen area.
After that I went to Tony’s downtown, followed by various
restaurants in Clayton. I worked at Bon Appetite at Washington
University as the kosher chef and sous chef. During my six years
there, I was in charge of taking care of the food for the presidential
debate in 2008. I made some beer cheese soup that President George
W. Bush loved so much, he took a gallon home with him!”
NEW! Kids’ Area Coming this Summer
In the lower-level of the Clubhouse Bar and Grille, we’ve created a
new kids’ area for the youngsters! If your kids or grandkids would

News & Notes
A New Way to Share IBK Photos!
Seeing all the new submissions come in to the photo contest each
year is an exciting time for us. But we wanted to make it easier for
you to share your photos taken at Innsbrook with us year-round! In
addition to emailing the photos to information@innsbrook-resort.
com, you can submit them online at www.innsbrook-resort.com/
property-owners/submit-a-photo. Show off your impressive catch,
your cute kids or your breathtaking sunset view and watch for your
photos to appear online, as our Photo of the Day on Facebook or in
our next activities calendar! Ext. 180.
Lose Something?
Innsbrook has a Lost and Found box at the Property Management
Building (PMB). Next time you find yourself missing something you
think you lost at Innsbrook, or if you find something that belongs to
someone else, call ext. 180 or bring the item to the PMB.
Visit Innsbrook’s Little Red Library
Settle in with a good book this summer! Head to Innsbrook’s Little
Red Library in the Farmhouse area (the red building holds both the
library and the Summer Breeze concert concessions stand). You may
borrow as many books as you like (there is no checkout system), then
return them when done. Donations are how we are able to stock the
shelves, so if you have books to add to the inventory, just leave them
in the bin next to the library desk. Please refer to the list under the
clock for types of books not accepted. We also have audio books!
The library is closed during events in the Farmhouse area.
Log Cabin Progress and Pavilion
If your family hasn’t been to the historic log cabin in the Alpine
Valley, make a point to do so this year! We promise, it will be well
worth your time. The Innsbrook Historical Society (IHS) has done
an incredibly impressive job restoring it—and they’re not done yet!
They’ve added a pavilion to the cabin grounds, where people can
gather for concerts, family and group gatherings and other events!
In fact, IHS is hosting its Porch Music Series again this year with
country music on May 16 and an Abraham Lincoln impersonator on
September 13. The cabin sits on a hillside overlooking the Alpine
Valley area south of Alpine Lake. Inside the cabin, you’ll find time
period relics as well as a binder with the history of the cabin and the
restoration work.

Pest Control Services
Innsbrook Services is happy to announce that, due to
customer demand, we are adding pest control services
to our list of professional services offered to property
owners! For homes occupied full time, we recommend
spring and fall treatments. For seasonal homes and chalets,
we suggest an additional summertime tune-up. Additional
treatments are available on an as-needed/requested basis.
Please call for a free estimate. Ext. 191.
Register Your Guests
Make it easier for your guests, other property owners,
Security and yourself—register your guests ahead of time!
Don’t make others wait at the gate as Innsbrook Security
calls to ask you if your guest is authorized. At least 24
hours before your guests are expected to arrive:
• Submit the guest authorization form online at
www.innsbrook-resort.com/property-owners/
guest-registration or
• Print out a form found on the same webpage and
turn it in at the Main Gate.
Fishing Regulations
Don’t Be a Beach Bum!
• POP-UP TENTS should be 20’ from the water to leave
space for sunbathers.
• Please do not use a tent to reserve a beach spot, and take
tents down at the end of the day.
• NO BOATS OR FISHING allowed in the swimming
area, including between the beach and floating dock.
• DO NOT TIE YOUR BOATS up to the swimming/
floating docks. This is dangerous for swimmers.
• The swimming/floating docks are for swimmers to
enjoy. NO CHAIRS OR COOLERS on the docks, please.
• NO DIVING from the floating docks.
• Those who are not toilet-trained must wear SWIM
DIAPERS—no one wants a repeat of the Caddy Shack
pool scene (it’s really hard to drain and scrub a lake).
• Children in FLOTATION DEVICES should be
supervised by an adult.
All of the lakes at Innsbrook are well stocked. Alpine Lake
has a protected slot length limit on bass of 12”-18” which
means you can keep bass under 12” or over 18” with a daily
limit of 5. For all other lakes, release bass between 12”-16”.
Crappie 10” or longer and bluegill and catfish of any size
can be kept (including Alpine) with a daily limit
of 10 crappie per day. Please release all paddlefish. Ext. 193.
• Beach-goers AGES 15 & UNDER should be accompanied
by an adult.
Testing the Waters for Missouri Caviar
• MUSIC should be for your listening pleasure only (not
everyone appreciates Barry Manilow).
• NO LITTERING. As to cigarette butts, no one wants to
sunbathe in an ashtray.
• NO PETS permitted in the beach area (there is one thing
worse than sunbathing in an ashtray).
• NO LARGE GROUPS. How would you feel if an office
party parked next to you on the beach?
• NO CAMPFIRES. Hibachi grills work great, but watch
your ashes.
Osage Catfisheries pulled more than 50 paddlefish out
of Lake Lucern in March to check their readiness to be
harvested for caviar. The IOA netted over $3,000 for
pasturing these paddlefish. As paddlefish continue to be
harvested the funds will go towards lake maintenance.
• BOATS in the common areas are not common property
… please respect the boats’ owners and do not use private
boats. Violators shall be forced to walk the plank!
• Most importantly—HAVE FUN!

what’s new
at the golf course
We’ve Got a Brand New Pro Shop
New merchandise at the Pro Shop
arriving regularly.
Have you been to the Pro
Shop lately? If not, make
a trip there to see the new
location and merchandise!
The Pro Shop has taken
over the lower level of the
Clubhouse and even has
it’s own outside entrance
with patio seating. There
is also a new bag drop
area, new cart staging area
and additional parking.
We’ve added 70 new Club Car carts to our fleet this year.
These Club Cars are much quieter and more fuel efficient
than the old carts’ engines.
Over the winter, the golf maintenance crew has completed
a number of projects to improve the course’s condition.
However, the biggest change comes in mid-May when we
flip the course! After checking in at the Pro Shop, players
will head to what was previously the #10 hole to tee off, as
it becomes the new #1 hole this year. Golfers will get a new
perspective on the green, as the course will now finish
with hole #18 behind the Clubhouse (#9 in 2014). Players
can wrap up the day by celebrating, or drowning their
sorrows, with food and beverages at the new Clubhouse
Bar and Grille. This change makes for a more picturesque
playing experience. Play a round and see the difference!
New Online Store
You can now purchase golf bundles, lessons, gift
certificates and more online through our new virtual
store at www.innsbrook-resort.com/golf/store. Watch
for special deals and bundles throughout the year.

twosomes of varying abilities or husbands and wives.

Saturday, October 3, 4 p.m: Superintendent’s Revenge

marks might have gone un-repaired or you might have
forgotten the day’s cart rules? Now it’s time for our course
superintendent and his staff to get even with this fun and
challenging tip and tuck tournament! The golf course
will be set up as long as possible (tip) and the holes will
be cut in the most difficult spots imaginable (tuck).

Amenity Complex
Moving Forward
We have good news to
report—we’ve received
our permit from the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers
for the Amenity Complex
development so we can
begin moving forward
with the construction.
The earth movers have started making progress
on moving the dirt at the site with a good stretch
of cooperative weather. Soil compaction tests were
completed on April 17 and 20.
We look forward to the pool opening in 2016.
We will announce the opening of the other amenities
throughout the six-month construction timeline.
Please go to www.innsbrook-resort.com/propertyowners/amenity-complex for up-to-date information
on the progress.
New Fitness Equipment
We’re happy to announce that brand new, stateof-the-art fitness equipment has been ordered for
the Fitness Center at the Aspen Center! Instead of
waiting for the new fitness facility at the Amenity
Complex to be completed, we decided it made sense to
go ahead with the equipment now and simply move
it to the new facility when it’s ready. By the time you
receive this newsletter, new fitness equipment should
be installed and ready to use at the Aspen Center.
Stop by and give the new treadmills, cross-trainer and
recumbent bike a try!
Commemorative Bricks
The Innsbrook Community is proud to offer a new
commemorative brick project. A brick walkway is planned
at the new Amenity Complex and customized bricks may be

pave the way for future Innsbrook generations!

testament of your love for Innsbrook by ordering your brick
online at www.innsbrook-resort.com/property-owners.

The Anniversary Party:
returns to the farmhouse
Last year, we moved the Memorial Day
Anniversary Party back to where it all began
in 1971—the Farmhouse! And this year,
we’ll return once more.
Property owners and their families enjoyed the location’s ambiance,
layout and especially the golf cart parking! Whether you’ve been
to our annual Memorial Day party before or are new to Innsbrook,
you’ll enjoy the laid-back, county fair-style atmosphere you’ll find at
the Farmhouse on Saturday, May 23 from 2 to 5 p.m.
After picking up your name tags and 44th Anniversary
commemorative cups at registration, let the kids bounce around in
our inflatables, including a bouncy house, obstacle course and large
slide. Make sure to take them by the Camp Innsbrook tent, where
they will craft their very own, one-of-a-kind pinwheel! We will
also have our traditional barrel train, as well as face painters and
balloon artists.
Party guests ages 21-and-over planning to drink beer at the
event—don’t forget your valid ID! Get your hand stamped at this
event so you can take advantage of our beer truck.
Snacks available at the party will include popcorn, kettle corn,
chips, watermelon, cookies and more. We’ll have water and
lemonade available, and you’re welcome to bring coolers of
whatever beverage or treats you enjoy! Also bring along your
lawn chairs and blankets so you can rest in the cool shade of the
mulberry tree or soak in the warm sun.
The band Three Point Hitch will provide additional hometown
entertainment for adults and children alike with their live
performance of classic Top 40 favorites.
To sum it up, the annual party is a family-friendly celebration of
summer fun at the Farmhouse to welcome another great season
to Innsbrook! The Farmhouse holds a special place in many of our
property owners’ hearts—for years it’s been a gathering place for
Innsbrook families to enjoy summer evening concerts, walk the
trails, go horseback riding or take in a game of tennis.
Meet your neighbors, make new friends and see what all the fuss is
about—don’t miss out on the biggest Innsbrook party of 2015!
Keep an eye on the Village Views as the party nears for reminders
on that and other events taking place Memorial Day weekend
at Innsbrook.

Party Parking — In a wooded development such as ours,
parking is always a special consideration. Here are a few
tips to make the day run smoothly.
• Please carpool.
• Golf cart parking will be allowed in the Outdoor Riding
Arena near the Farmhouse
An Innsbrook tradition. What color will this year’s anniversary cup be?
Since it’s still a relatively new location (after being
held at the Aspen Center for so many years), here
are some things to note for a party of this size:
Road Closures — For pedestrian safety, the roads
nearest the Farmhouse will be closed from noon to 5
p.m. on Saturday, May 23. Specific closings will be at
the intersection of Farmhouse/Innsbrook Drive and the
intersection of West Innsbrook Circle/Innsbrook Drive
(aka the WHOA sign). All incoming traffic from the West
Gate will be routed behind the Outdoor Riding Arena by
the Trash and Recycling area and onto West Innsbrook
Circle Drive. Please plan detours accordingly
to accommodate the closures.
• Vehicle parking will be available in the Summer
Breeze parking field (located at the corner of West
Innsbrook Circle Drive and Innsbrook Drive), the Ice
Skating Rink parking lot (located just north of the
Outdoor Riding Arena), as well as two parking fields
on Farmhouse Drive.
• Properties located on the west side of Innsbrook, north
of the Farmhouse—please enter via West Innsbrook
Circle Drive and park in the Summer Breeze or Ice
Skating Rink parking areas.
• Properties located on the east side of Innsbrook (east of
Hwy F) and far west side of Innsbrook including lakes
Alpine, Kitzbuhl, Linden and Grendel—please enter via
Meadow Valley Drive to Farmhouse Drive and park in
the Farmhouse Drive designated parking areas.
• We will have hayride shuttles available for those that
park in the Farmhouse Drive parking areas.
Stables Closing — The Stables will be closed from Friday
• Vehicles will not be permitted beyond the designated
parking areas on the day of the event. Only golf carts
may proceed past the designated parking areas on
Farmhouse Drive to park in the Outdoor Riding Arena
located near the Farmhouse.
No Parking — All of the roads near the Farmhouse will
be in a No Parking zone.
• Handicap parking will be available at the Farmhouse;
please have your handicap tag plainly displayed as you
approach the party. If you are able to do so, please ride
the provided shuttles to the party.
at 5 p.m. through Sunday at 6 a.m. For your safety and
the well-being of the horses, we ask that you refrain from
exploring the horse barns before, during and after the party.
We appreciate your cooperation in celebrating another great year at Innsbrook!

2015 innsbrook Fireworks Extravaganza
spectacular summer light show
Our annual Independence Day Fireworks Show is Saturday, July 4, 2015. Our show is fully
funded by donations from IBK property owners, corporate vendors, and local advertisers.
Last year, our fundraising campaign brought in over $110,000—this amounts to the largest
private fireworks display in the state. If you love the fireworks show as much as we do,
please support the fireworks with a donation. Whether it’s $10, $50 or $500—every dollar
counts. All fireworks sponsors will be listed in our weekend booklet that is handed out at
the gates over the Fourth of July weekend.
