Our Volunteers
Our Speakers
Undoubtedly, it is through the generosity and support of these people
that make catering to the academic needs of 150 students possible.
We will never be able to thank them enough for donating their time
and talent to the youth of Dorchester. You are all amazing!
Tonight, we have two amazing guests who know the importance of
educational focus and drive. They are accomplished athletes who
demonstrate a commitment to education, athletics and community
service. Project D.E.E.P. is pleased to welcome defenseman for the
New York Islanders, Mike Mottau and former lineman for the New
England Patriotts, Dan Stevenson.

Mike Mottau, a Quincy native,
has played for the New York Rangers,
Calgary Flames, New Jersey Devils
and now, the New York Islanders. He
is an alum of Thayer Academy and the
recipient of the Hobey Baker Award for
top men’s collegiate hockey player
during his senior season at Boston
College. Currently on the injured list,
Mike is a true testament to the saying
“Hardwork Overcomes All.”
Dan Stevenson is a “Fighting
Irish” alum, graduating from
Notre Dame and going on to play
professional football for the Houston
Texans, Miami Dolphins and our
very own New England Patriots. His
dedication and focus on academic
achievement in colllege has been his
saving grace after a career-ending
injury in 2008.
