Mallorca is one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
For the first time, 15 cars from the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club
will have the unique opportunity to explore this island of
contrasts. We will be able to explore mountains with glorious sea views in the morning, followed by the historic city
of Palma with its fantastic restaurants and millionaires’
yachts in the afternoon.
The tour begins in Portsmouth with our Brittany Ferries
departure to the Basque city of Bilbao in northern Spain.
From there we will have a couple nights en-route along
the spectacular Pyrenees Mountains before arriving in
the famous Mediterranean city of Barcelona ready for the
overnight departure to Palma de Mallorca. Arriving by
boat in Mallorca is special, as from the moment the ferry
reaches the west point of the small island of Dragonera,
there are typically Mediterranean views on both sides,
culminating in Palma with its Gothic Cathedral
dominating the skyline of the city.
Upon arrival in Mallorca we have plenty of time to
unpack and relax as we stay for seven nights at the Four
Star superior Lindner Golf & Wellness Resort in the coastal
resort of Portals Nous, located 15 minutes drive from
Palma, to the south west of the island. The hotel has
ample secure car parking and each of the hotel rooms
are fully air conditioned with satellite TV, wireless internet,
mini bar and room safe. There are two swimming pools
(one outdoor with a large terrace and pool bar, and one
indoor) a wellness area and spa plus two restaurants,
one of which is a la carte.
During your stay we have prepared a number of scenic
road runs that will take you through the stunning
mountains and to the beautiful coastal villages of Deia
and Soller. We will also visit a local bodega, and be able
to explore the capital city of Palma, with its famous
cathedral. The luxurious ports of Portals Nous, Port
Adriano and Puerto Andratx with their picturesque
harbours and fashionable boutiques & cafés can easily
be visited just a short distance from our hotel.
Itinerary:
Wednesday 3rd September
10:15hrs check-in at the Brittany Ferries terminal in
Portsmouth for the 11:45hrs departure to Bilbao.
An evening welcome dinner has been arranged in the
ships a la carte restaurant.
Thursday 4th September
Arrive in Bilbao at 12:45hrs. After disembarking the ship
and leaving the city of Bilbao behind, we head South East
towards the mountains of the Pyrenees for a first night’s
stop.
Friday 5th September
Following breakfast we continue on the road for a
leisurely drive on some picturesque roads along the base
of the Pyrenees. We stop again within an easy driving
distance of Barcelona at a second en-route hotel.
Saturday 6th September
We head to the coast and down to Barcelona. After
checking in at the ferry port there will be time to take
a stroll along the Ramblas for an early evening meal or
some last minute shopping before the overnight ferry
departs for Palma de Mallorca.

Sunday 7th September to Sunday 14th September
We arrive early in to Palma before we transfer to Portal
Nous to check-in to the Four Star Lindner Golf & Wellness
Resort. During the week there will be plenty of time to
relax in and around the resort. You can complete several
road runs that have been planned including visits to
Palma and some stunning drives in the Serra de
Tramuntana mountain range.
Sunday 14th September
After a week of exploring Mallorca and relaxing around
the hotel pool, we head back to Barcelona on the ferry.
After arriving in the port of Barcelona we will drive a short
distance to our hotel just outside Girona.
Monday 15th September
Today we head back towards the foothills of the Pyrenees.
For our overnight stay en-route to our final destination in
the Basque Country.
Tuesday 16th September
It’s time to relax for the final night ready for our return
journey back to Plymouth from Santander.
Wednesday 17th September
Our last drive of the tour takes us back to the northern
Spanish coast, where we will check in at the Brittany
Ferries terminal in Santander at 19:15hrs for the 21:15hrs
departure to Plymouth.
Thursday 18th September
We end the tour as we arrive at the Brittany Ferries
terminal in Plymouth at 16:15hrs
