Toranda On Ice
Ainutlaatuinen 3-päiväinen mega-tapahtuma Toranda – tapahtumakeskuksessa Torniossa – paikalle
odotetaan 15 tuhatta vierailijaa Suomesta, Ruotsista sekä Norjasta

Toranda On Ice - jäätapahtuma
Torandassa tehdään 19. maaliskuuta 2016 urheiluhistoriaa, kun suomalaisen ja ruotsalaisen jääkiekkoilun legendat kohtaavat
maaottelussa, jossa punaviiva on maiden raja. Pelaajat ovat jääkiekon suuria nimiä. Tornionjoen luonnonjäälle viilettävät
Leijonien klassikkopaidassa muun muassa Esa Tikkanen ja Jarmo Myllys. ”Legendat jäällä” –ottelussa
kohtaavat maailmanmestarit, Stanley Cup-voittajat ja olympiamitalistit.
Maaotteluhenki ei jää pelkästään jääkiekkoon, vaan suomalaiset ja ruotsalaiset kohtaavat myös jääravien merkeissä. Ravirata
tulee myös sijaitsemaan rajalla, joten tässäkin lajissa tehdään urheiluhistoriaa: lähdöt ajetaan kahdella aikavyöhykkeellä.
Sunnuntaille 20. maaliskuuta on luvassa koko perheen liikuntapäivä, jonka ohjelma tarkennetaan myöhemmin.
