NOVA SCOTIA UTILITY AND REVIEW BOARD
IN THE MATTER OF THE MOTOR CARRIER ACT

IN THE MATTER OF THE FUEL ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM of GREEN RIDER

WHEREAS the Motor Carrier License of Green Rider Limited ("Green
Rider'') No. P02250 contains a Fuel Adjustment Mechanism ("FAM") to be reconsidered
twice annually;
AND WHEREAS Green Rider filed the FAM materials and calculations with
the Motor Carrier Division and received by the Clerk of the Board on August 17, 2015;
AND WHEREAS the FAM requires the weekly rates to increase or decrease
by $1.00 (including tax) for every $0.03 per litre that the average net fuel pump price paid
by Green Rider varies from its base fuel price of $0.8472 per litre;
AND WHEREAS the daily base rates shall increase or decrease by $1.00
(including taxes) for every $0.10 per litre the average net fuel pump price paid by Green
Rider varies from the base fuel price;
AND WHEREAS Green Rider provided to the Board the relevant sections
of its monthly fuel invoices for January to June 2015, which showed the average net fuel

pump price paid by Green Rider for this six month period ("net fuel price") was $0.933 per
litre;
AND WHEREAS the difference between the base fuel price of $0.847 per
litre and the net fuel price of $0.933 is $0.086;
AND WHEREAS the Board considered the materials and calculations on
August 28, 2015, and determined the rates noted in this Order;
IT IS ORDERED THAT:
1.
The weekly rates shall be $2.00 above the weekly base rates, which means there
is a decrease of $6.00 to the current weekly rates;
2.
The daily rates shall be equal to the daily base rates, which means there is a
decrease of $2.00 to the current daily rates;
3.
Green Rider's current rates are outlined in the attached Schedule "A"; and
4.
The rates are effective October 1, 2015.
