English
Situated in the Lanaudière region, the Auberge du Lac Taureau is
a two hour drive away from Montreal, offering all the charms of an
idyllic country inn with 4 star comfort.
Nestled in the midst of nature by the side of an immense lake, the
Auberge was the Regional Winner of Les Grands Prix 2008, category
«Lodging, 4 and 5 stars establishment». It is one of the leading
resorts of the “Hôtellerie Champêtre” chain of which it has been a
member since its very inception.
Open the whole year round, it has 158 rooms and boasts of the
finest cuisine, a Spa in a natural setting and whole host of summer
and winter activities. The ideal spot for an incentive trip or high level
seminar in Canada!
By air
From France:
Montreal is easily accessible from Paris. The flying time is 7½ half
hours and there are 4 to 8 daily flights: Air France (2 to 4 flights), Air
Canada (1 to 2 flights); Air Transat (1 to 2 flights); and Corsair (1 daily
flight). In addition, there are the offline airline flights with stopovers
in London (British Airways), Amsterdam (KLM), Frankfurt (Lufthansa),
Zurich (Swiss International)…
In the winter of 2008-2009, the capacity increased with 5 daily flights
from Paris (3 daily Air France flights and a substantial increase in
group seats).
Departures from the provinces: Air Transat is the only airline to operate
from May to October 2009 flights from Nantes (2 flights), Bordeaux (2
flights), Toulouse (2 flights), Marseille (4 flights), Nice (2 flights), Lyon
(4 flights) and Mulhouse-Bâle (1 flight).
From Belgium
There are 3 direct weekly flights from Brussels to Montreal from
April to October (Air Transat) in addition to daily flights from Amsterdam (KLM) and flights with stopovers – Brussels-Frankfurt-Montreal
(Lufthansa); Brussels-Zurich-Montreal (Swiss International) and
Brussels-London-Montreal (British Airways).
By road
The Auberge du Lac Taureau is situated right in the heart of forestland
overlooking a huge lake 95 km2 lake just 2 hours from Montreal (160
km).
From Dorval, take Highway 40 Est and drive 100 km (1hr15). Take
Exit 122 Route 31 Nord towards Saint-Michel des-Saints and drive 65
km (45 minutes).
The Auberge is 10 km further down. So if you leave Europe in the
morning, you will be in Quebec dining at the Auberge the same.
Weather
End May-mid September: summer weather with temperatures
ranging from 25 to 350C.
Periodic spring showers allow nature to bloom in all its glory.
Mid November-early April: wintery weather with temperatures going
down to -200, sometimes even lower. When it is not snowing, it can
be very sunny. Like in the rest of Quebec, the weather is dry and
cold.
Spring begins towards the end of April and the summer of colours
(called the Indian summer in Europe) can be enjoyed fully from end
September to mid October.
Accommodation: rooms and condos
The Auberge du Lac Taureau is located in the Lanaudière
region on a peninsula between the Baies du village and the
Baies du milieu.

the resort has an eco friendly architecture with nature present

next without having to step out and brave the elements.

with a telephone, wireless Internet, television, coffee maker,
dresser, desk and luggage rack. Free Internet access available
everywhere in the Auberge.
All the rooms (non smoking) have an en suite bathroom with
