Snow
It snowed all day, it snowed all night
I could see snow within my eyesight
I didn’t think it could happen again,
When the clouds sent down more
And that’s when I couldn’t see out my door
It kept coming down, until it finally stopped
I then said to myself
That it was time to move away
Because I could no longer take
The weather that came around
Everyday.

Disney
Cinderella and that glass slipper,
Ariel, who gave up her flippers.
The Incredibles with their superpowers,
Rapunzel locked up in her tower.
Olaf and his warm hugs,
Timone and Pumba with their bugs.
Beauty, Beast, and a rose.
Pocahontas with the man she chose.
Nemo, orange and white,
Mulan who had no fright.
Bambi, who was innocent born,
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Pinocchio wants to be a real boy,
Buzz Lightyear is so much more than a toy.
Aurora slept for a hundred years,
Dumbo can fly with his ears.
The Queen of Hearts,
Peter Pan,
Chicken Little,
Tarzan.
Robin Hood,
Sleeping Beauty,
Tinker Bell,
Ratatouille.
It seems the list will never end,
And we still like to pretend,
That we take the places of,
Those characters that we love.
And no matter how old we get,
Disney created things we will never forget.

A School I Know
There is a school I know, just down the
block, with bouncing balls and coloring
chalk.
There are teachers to learn, and friends
to play, and everyone has the very best
day.
Gym, music and art are just a few, of
the special classes we have, both you
and me.
In the school I know, no one pushes or
shoves, well if you must know, Trinity
Academy is the school I love!

When I Grow Up….
When I grow up, I don’t know what
my future will be like. Maybe I would like
to be a vet. It sounds amazing that people
can cure diseases for animals that doctors
can’t cure on humans. If in my future I
don’t want to be a vet anymore, I would
love to be an amazing actress. Imagine me
in one of those star movies like the Hunger
Games! That would be so awesome! That’s
what I want to be when I grow up.

Hawks
As I approached
I got closer and closer and closer
The hawk looked at me
With its sharp eye
It was ready to attack
A little squeak
Jumped right in front of me
Dinner was read on the hawk
The last squeak was heard
Then there was silence
The hawk flew into the sky
Gleaming feathers fell
In a nearby river
A fish leaped
It was like diamond in the air
Sparkling water cried
The water looked like teardrops falling from
an eye
The air was as beautiful as water lilies
A fish leaped again
The Hawk thought,
“It is time to fish”
I read those words on the hawk again and
again
The hawk’s talons were showing
It was getting ready
Its sharp eye had its words
All was heard
Then silence

Everyone’s Got
Their Own Heaven
When we go to heaven I believe everything is white
and you see a man from a distance wearing a white
robe tied with a rope around his waist, with short
curly brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin, and a
brown beard and this man is Jesus. Jesus would go
to you and ask "Do you apologize for all the sins
you committed and be sincere with your apology?".
To go to heaven, you would be truthful and sincere
with your apology and Jesus would give you a warm
welcoming hug. Jesus would ask you to please close
your eyes and believe in your dreams and that
could be your heaven, like living as a superhero,
the President, a fireman, a king, a priest, an astronaut, or many other things you could only imagine. My heaven would be that there would be no
more wars or fighting and that every living thing
in the Universe would get along and become peaceful together. Also, I believe every Sunday while
you are in heaven, you would go to a beautiful,
large temple that was all white, everyone has to
wear white clothing, and it would have all types
of religions you would ever want. You could also
visit family, friends, and role models that have
passed away and are in heaven now. Before people I
know go to heaven, I do the best I can to show
them the ways of Jesus so all of them can change
into a better person. When I try to be kind and
love people, it’s making heaven on earth. That's
why everyone's got their own heaven.

The Character Study of
Harry Potter
Under the stairs on number 4 Privet Drive lived a boy.
Now this boy did not only live, but he was the boy that lived. This
boy lived with his purple-faced uncle, his giraffe-like aunt, and his
piggish cousin Dudley. This boy, unlike his cousin, was very thin.
He had messy jet black hair and emerald green eyes that were hidden behind his circular glasses. (If reading aloud, read with a British accent, not Australian.) Now this boy was no ordinary boy. He
held a secret…a secret that would one day save the world from
being enslaved by the evil man with a snakelike face; his skin was
white and looked like bone. He had two slits for a nose like a
snake, and evil greedy eyes.
This boy has a backstory that is greater than even the most
amazing fictional characters. When this kid was just a little boy,
only one year old, his parents died in a horrible car crash. Or so he
was told…
This boy, not only having to live with the death of his parents also had to endure living with his horrible relatives. They
locked him in a closet, did not give him enough food to eat, and
worst of all, they lied to him about the one thing that mattered
most to him…his parents. His aunt called his mom a freak because
she was jealous. His uncle called his dad all sorts of names for no
apparent reason. The most despicable thing they have done was lie
to him about how his parents died. All this boy wanted was the
truth, but they would not give it to him. They were afraid to admit
the truth. They were afraid to admit what he would become. They
didn’t want him to become like his parents. They didn’t want him
to become what he was destined to be.
What nobody ever told him was that he was there the day
that his parents were killed. The great mystery is how he had survived. The answer is in the scar. The lightning shaped scar that has
been on his forehead since the day his parents died. The day that
he defeated the most powerfully evil wizard of all time. Now, you
might be wondering who this boy is. His name is Harry Potter.

Late Not On My Watch
Drip drop drip drop went the rain as 14-yearold Sarah Milburn was on her way to school. She always wore blue, even her long hair was blue she had
green emerald eyes and was tall. ”HEY SARAH WAIT
FOR ME!” screamed Amber Stone. Amber was the
smartest kid at school. She was 14 (like Sarah) she
had yellow eyes, wore a yellow skort, a white dress
up button shirt, a yellow tie and dress shoes. “Hey
Amber where is Flame?” Sarah asked in question
hoping she would get an answer. Just then a girl with
red hair knocked them both over. “Sorry guys” said
Flame the girl who had light red eyes and always
wore red. ”You really had to run over us Flame.” says
the now wet Sarah. Flame the friend/enemy of Sarah.
“GUYS WE HAVE FIVE MINTUES TO GET TO CLASS!”
Screamed Amber. Sarah, Amber and Flame lived
close to the school but sometimes this happens. 5 4 3
2 1 the bell rang for beginning of first period and Sarah, Amber and Flame made it to class on time.

If I Were A Leprechaun
If I were a leprechaun and chased the rainbow to its end
I would like to find an everlasting puppy. That would be my pot
of gold. The puppy will give me everlasting love and happiness
for my whole life. The puppies name will be Rocksy because I
love the name Rocksy. That means I will love her and she will
love me forever.
The first reason I want her is because I do not have an
everlasting dog. She will be mine forever as long as I shall live.
She will be so much fun to play with. That means I will give her
everlasting love and care. We will live a happy life together.
The second reason I want her is because I will always
have someone to play with. I can play with her whenever I want
to. When I get hurt she will make me feel better. When I go to
sleep she will be in bed with me and takes walks with me.
The third reason I want her is because I want someone
to be with and someone who will protect me. She will protect
me when I am in danger. I will never be sleeping alone and I
will never do anything without her.
I had a fun time telling you about what I want to chase
the rainbow for. I would like to tell you more things I would
like my pot of gold but I don’t have time anymore. I really
need to go now. I hope to see you soon See you later!

Do you love the beautiful carves of wooden
statues? Well if you do, here is how to make one.
You will need something to carve, a knife, an idea
of what you are going to carve, and a parent {only
if you are 11 and younger.} First make a circle
around you, if anyone is in the circle ask them to
get out for their safety. Second start to whittle
little by little, make sure you are carving in between your legs. Always make sure you are not
taking off large chunks of the wood, if there are
big chunks your knife might slip and cut you. Finally when you are done you can enjoy your piece
and maybe make another one. This is a great
thing to do if you are on a camping trip and you
are bored, and in many other boring situations.

I really like my 4th grade class. There are seven
boys in my class. Most of us have been together
since 1st grade. That is when I started at Trinity.
We did get a new boy this year. We are all really
good friends. Every day at recess we play a game
of football. It is so much fun. We all have such a
great time. We wish it could last all day. Every
time we get together, it is a great day. I am so
thankful for my Trinity friends. I hope we can be
friends forever.

Paper
The pen is full of ink,
Waiting to be used to write whatever I think.
The canvas is as white as snow,
Across the page, the pen will go.
The best part,
Paper is not just for writing, but also art.
Finding an idea can take an hour or a minute,
But that doesn’t matter because the sky is the limit.
When you write, express your imagination,
It doesn’t matter how diverse, you don’t need an explanation.
There are numerous things you can accomplish,
A story of yours, someone could publish.
You can write something as short as a haiku,
Or a time-consuming novel could work too.
What could I possibly write?
How about a poem…I just might

We are thrilled to reveal the results of the
dedication and hard work of the Trinity Tablet’s
wonderful staff and contributors. We would like to
thank the teachers for their cooperation throughout
this entire process, helping to make the
literary magazine a reality. We also extend our
sincere gratitude to Mrs. Fiore for donating her time
and effort to assist us with the technological aspects of
the magazine. We would like to thank Mrs. Faherty
and Mrs. Smith for the countless hours they
have devoted to this project. Without all of these
dedicated people, the students’ creative and inventive
writings and art would have never made their way to
print.
Hopefully you will enjoy reading the first
edition of the Trinity Tablet as much as we enjoyed
putting it all together. :)
